  • wpf treeview ObjectDataProvider update - how?

    - by wonea
    I've been having trouble updating the data bindings which relates to a treeview. The dataset is mapped onto the ObjectDataProvider, passed through two data templates. Now I've tried updating the ObjectDataProvider with two calls, hoping that they would trigger the CreateTheDataSet() method, and rebuild the tree. Tried calling; thetreeView.ItemTemplate.LoadContent(); thetreeView.Items.Refresh(); Program code; <Window.Resources> <ObjectDataProvider x:Key="dataSetProvider" MethodName="CreateDataSet" ObjectType="{x:Type local:DataSetCreator}" /> <DataTemplate x:Key="DetailTemplate"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=personname}" /> </DataTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate x:Key="MasterTemplate" ItemsSource="{Binding Master2Detail}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource DetailTemplate}"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=jobname}" /> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> </Window.Resources> <x:Name="thetreeView" DataContext="{StaticResource dataSetProvider}" ItemsSource="{Binding compMaster}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource MasterTemplate}" /> My dataset creation class; public static class DataSetCreator { public static DataSet CreateTheDataSet() { DataSet dataset = new DataSet(); // Create dataset ... blah blah return dataset; } }

  • Implementing a listview inside a sliding drawer with a listview already present

    - by Parker
    I have an app whose main class extends ListActivity: public class GUIPrototype extends ListActivity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); final Cursor c = managedQuery(People.CONTENT_URI, null, null, null, null); String[] from = new String[] {People.NAME}; int[] to = new int[] { R.id.row_entry }; SimpleCursorAdapter adapter = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this,R.layout.drawer,c,from,to); setListAdapter(adapter); getListView().setTextFilterEnabled(true); } } I have a sliding drawer included in my XML, and I'm trying to get a separate listview to appear in the sliding drawer. I'm trying to populate the second listview using an inflater: View inflatedView = View.inflate(this, R.layout.main, null); ListView namesLV = (ListView) inflatedView.findViewById(R.id.content); String[] names2 = new String[] { "CS 345", "New Tag", "Untagged" }; ArrayAdapter<String> bb = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.main, R.id.row_entry, names2); namesLV.setAdapter(bb); This compiles, and runs, but the slidingdrawer is completely blank. My XML follows: <SlidingDrawer android:id="@+id/drawer" android:handle="@+id/handle" android:content="@+id/content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_gravity="bottom"> <ImageView android:id="@id/handle" android:layout_width="48px" android:layout_height="48px" android:background="@drawable/icon"/> <ListView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:id="@id/content"/> </SlidingDrawer> I feel like I'm missing a vital step. I haven't found any resources on my problem by Googling, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • WPF Richtextbox XamlWriter behaviour

    - by Krishna
    I am trying to save some c# source code into the database. Basically I have a RichTextBox that users can type their code and save that to the database. When I copy and paste from the visual studio environment, I would like to preserve the formating etc. So I have chosen to save the FlowDocuments Xaml to the database and set this back to the RichTextBox.Document. My below two function serialise and deserialise the RTB's contents. private string GetXaml(FlowDocument document) { if (document == null) return String.Empty; else{ StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); XmlWriter xw = XmlWriter.Create(sb); XamlDesignerSerializationManager sm = new XamlDesignerSerializationManager(xw); sm.XamlWriterMode = XamlWriterMode.Expression; XamlWriter.Save(document, sm ); return sb.ToString(); } } private FlowDocument GetFlowDocument(string xamlText) { var flowDocument = new FlowDocument(); if (xamlText != null) flowDocument = (FlowDocument)XamlReader.Parse(xamlText); // Set return value return flowDocument; } However when I try to serialise and deserialise the following code, I am noticing this incorrect(?) behaviour using System; public class TestCSScript : MarshalByRefObject { } Serialised XAML is using System; public class TestCSScript : MarshalByRefObject {}{ } Notice the the new set of "{}" What am I doing wrong here... Thanks in advance for the help!

  • ASP.NET 4.0 UpdatePanel and UserControl with PlaceHolder

    - by Chris
    I don't know if this is ASP.NET 4.0 specific but I don't recall having this problem in previous versions. I have very simple user control called "TestModal" that contains a PlaceHolder control which I use to instantiate a template in. When I put an UpdatePanel inside this UserControl on the page the updatepanel only does full postbacks and not partial postbacks. What gives? USER CONTROL MARKUP: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="TestModal.ascx.cs" Inherits="MyProject.UserControls.TestModal" %> <div id="<%= this.ClientID %>"> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="plchContentTemplate" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder> </div> USER CONTROL CODE BEHIND: public partial class TestModal : System.Web.UI.UserControl { private ITemplate _contentTemplate; [TemplateInstance(TemplateInstance.Single)] [PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty), TemplateContainer(typeof(TemplateControl))] public ITemplate ContentTemplate { get { return _contentTemplate; } set { _contentTemplate = value; } } protected override void OnInit(EventArgs e) { base.OnInit(e); if (_contentTemplate != null) _contentTemplate.InstantiateIn(plchContentTemplate); } } ASPX PAGE MARKUP: <ajaxToolkit:ToolkitScriptManager ID="scriptManager" EnablePartialRendering="true" AllowCustomErrorsRedirect="true" CombineScripts="true" EnablePageMethods="true" ScriptMode="Release" AsyncPostBackTimeout="180" runat="server"></ajaxToolkit:ToolkitScriptManager> <uc1:TestModal ID="testModal" ClientIDMode="Static" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upAttachments" UpdateMode="Conditional" ChildrenAsTriggers="true" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:LinkButton ID="lnkRemoveAttachment" runat="server"><img src="/images/icons/trashcan.png" style="border: none;" /></asp:LinkButton> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> </ContentTemplate> </uc1:TestModal>

  • DynamicObject and WCF support

    - by rboarman
    Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a DynamicObject to serialize and work with WCF? Here’s my little test: [DataContract] class MyDynamicObject : DynamicObject { [DataMember] private Dictionary<string, object> _attributes = new Dictionary<string, object>(); public override bool TryGetMember(GetMemberBinder binder, out object result) { string key = binder.Name; result = null; if (_attributes.ContainsKey(key)) result = _attributes[key]; return true; } public override bool TrySetMember(SetMemberBinder binder, object value) { _attributes.Add(binder.Name, value); return true; } } var dy = new MyDynamicObject(); var ser = new DataContractSerializer(typeof(MyDynamicObject)); var mem = new MemoryStream(); ser.WriteObject(mem, dy); The error I get is: System.Runtime.Serialization.InvalidDataContractException was unhandled Message=Type 'ElasticTest1.MyDynamicObject' cannot inherit from a type that is not marked with DataContractAttribute or SerializableAttribute. Consider marking the base type 'System.Dynamic.DynamicObject' with DataContractAttribute or SerializableAttribute, or removing them from the derived type. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rick

  • EL syntax error: Expression cannot start with binary operator

  • MVC2: Validate PartialView before Form Submit of Page containing Partial View

    - by Pascal
    I am using asp.net mvc2 and having a basic Page that includes a Partial View within a form <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <% Html.RenderAction("partialViewActionName", "Controllername"); %> <input type="submit" value="Weiter" /> <% } %> When I submit the form, the httpPost Action of my Page is called, and AFTER that the httpPost Action of my Partial View is called [HttpPost] public virtual ActionResult PagePostMethod(myModel model) { // here I should know about the validation of my partial View // If partialView.ModelState is valid then // return View("success"); // else return View(model) } [HttpPost] public virtual ActionResult partialViewActionName(myModel model) { ModelState.AddModelError("Error"); return View(model); } But as I am doing the Validation in the httpPost Method of my Partial View (because I want to use my Partial View in several Places) I cant decide if my hole page is valid or not. Has anyone an Idea how I could do this? Isn´t it a common task to have several partial Views in a page but have the information about validation in the page action methods? Thanks very much for your help!!

  • Web Service Exception Handling

    - by SchlaWiener
    I have a Winforms app that consumes a C# Webservice. If the WebService throws an Exception my Client app always get's a SoapException instead of the "real" Exception. Here's a demo: [WebService(Namespace = "http://tempuri.org/")] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] [System.ComponentModel.ToolboxItem(false)] public class Service1 : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod] public string HelloWorld() { throw new IndexOutOfRangeException("just a demo exception"); } } Now, on the client side, I want to be able to handle different exceptions in a different way. try { ServiceReference1.Service1SoapClient client = new ServiceReference1.Service1SoapClient(); Button1.Text = client.HelloWorld(); } catch (IndexOutOfRangeException ex) { // I know how to handle IndexOutOfRangeException // but this block is never reached } catch (MyOwnException ex) { // I know how to handle MyOwnException // but this block is never reached } catch (System.ServiceModel.FaultException ex) { // I always end in this block } But that does not work because I always get a "System.ServiceModel.FaultException" and I can only figure out the "real" exception by parsing the Exception's message property: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.IndexOutOfRangeException: just a demo\n at SoapExceptionTest.Service1.Service1.HelloWorld() in ... --- End of inner exception stack trace --- Is there a way to make this work somehow?

  • C# update GUI continuously from backgroundworker.

    - by Qrew
    I have created a GUI (winforms) and added a backgroundworker to run in a separate thread. The backgroundworker needs to update 2 labels continuously. The backgroundworker thread should start with button1 click and run forever. class EcuData { public int RPM { get; set; } public int MAP { get; set; } } private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { EcuData data = new EcuData { RPM = 0, MAP = 0 }; BackWorker1.RunWorkerAsync(data); } private void BackWorker1_DoWork(object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) { EcuData argumentData = e.Argument as EcuData; int x = 0; while (x<=10) { // // Code for reading in data from hardware. // argumentData.RPM = x; //x is for testing only! argumentData.MAP = x * 2; //x is for testing only! e.Result = argumentData; Thread.Sleep(100); x++; } private void BackWorker1_RunWorkerCompleted_1(object sender, RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e) { EcuData data = e.Result as EcuData; label1.Text = data.RPM.ToString(); label2.Text = data.MAP.ToString(); } } The above code just updated the GUI when backgroundworker is done with his job, and that's not what I'm looking for.

  • ASP.NET MVC - Html.DropDownList - Value not set via ViewData.Model

    - by chrisb
    Have just started playing with ASP.NET MVC and have stumbled over the following situation. It feels a lot like a bug but if its not, an explanation would be appreciated :) The View contains pretty basic stuff <%=Html.DropDownList("MyList", ViewData["MyListItems"] as SelectList)%> <%=Html.TextBox("MyTextBox")%> When not using a model, the value and selected item are set as expected: //works fine public ActionResult MyAction(){ ViewData["MyListItems"] = new SelectList(items, "Value", "Text"); //items is an ienumerable of {Value="XXX", Text="YYY"} ViewData["MyList"] = "XXX"; //set the selected item to be the one with value 'XXX' ViewData["MyTextBox"] = "ABC"; //sets textbox value to 'ABC' return View(); } But when trying to load via a model, the textbox has the value set as expected, but the dropdown doesnt get a selected item set. //doesnt work public ActionResult MyAction(){ ViewData["MyListItems"] = new SelectList(items, "Value", "Text"); //items is an ienumerable of {Value="XXX", Text="YYY"} var model = new { MyList = "XXX", //set the selected item to be the one with value 'XXX' MyTextBox = "ABC" //sets textbox value to 'ABC' } return View(model); } Any ideas? My current thoughts on it are that perhaps when using a model, we're restricted to setting the selected item on the SelectList constructor instead of using the viewdata (which works fine) and passing the selectlist in with the model - which would have the benefit of cleaning the code up a little - I'm just wondering why this method doesnt work.... Many thanks for any suggestions

  • Deselect dates in Web Calendar c#

    - by yomismo
    Hello, I'm trying to select and de-select dates on a C# Web Calendar control. The problem I have is that I can select or deselect dates except when there is only a single date selected. Clicking on it does not trigger the selection changed event, so Ineed to do something on the dayrender event but I'm not sure what or how. Any ideas? TIA Code so far: public static List<DateTime> list = new List<DateTime>(); protected void Calendar1_DayRender(object sender, DayRenderEventArgs e) { if (e.Day.IsSelected == true) { list.Add(e.Day.Date); } Session["SelectedDates"] = list; } protected void Calendar1_SelectionChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { DateTime selection = Calendar1.SelectedDate; if (Session["SelectedDates"] != null) { List<DateTime> newList = (List<DateTime>)Session["SelectedDates"]; foreach (DateTime dt in newList) { Calendar1.SelectedDates.Add(dt); } if (searchdate(selection, newList)) { Calendar1.SelectedDates.Remove(selection); } list.Clear(); } } public bool searchdate(DateTime date, List<DateTime> dates) { var query = from o in dates where o.Date == date select o; if (query.ToList().Count == 0) { return false; } else { return true; } }

  • Writing a docx file to a BLOB using Java 1.4 inside Oracle 10g

    - by Jon Renaut
    I'm trying to generate a blank docx file using Java, add some text, then write it to a BLOB that I can return to our document processing engine (a custom mess of PL/SQL and Java). I have to use the 1.4 JVM inside Oracle 10g, so no Java 1.5 stuff. I don't have a problem writing the docx to a file on my local machine, but when I try to write to BLOB, I'm getting garbage. Am I doing something dumb? Any help is appreciated. Note in the code below, all the get[name]Xml() methods return an org.w3c.dom.Document. public void save(String fileName) throws Exception { ZipOutputStream zos = new ZipOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(fileName)); addEntry(zos, getDocumentXml(), "word/document.xml"); addEntry(zos, getContentTypesXml(), "[Content_Types].xml"); addEntry(zos, getRelsXml(), "_rels/.rels"); zos.flush(); zos.close(); } public java.sql.BLOB save() throws Exception { java.sql.Connection conn = DbUtilities.openConnection(); BLOB outBlob = BLOB.createTemporary(conn, true, BLOB.DURATION_SESSION); outBlob.open(BLOB.MODE_READWRITE); ZipOutputStream zos = new ZipOutputStream(outBlob.setBinaryStream(0L)); addEntry(zos, getDocumentXml(), "word/document.xml"); addEntry(zos, getContentTypesXml(), "[Content_Types].xml"); addEntry(zos, getRelsXml(), "_rels/.rels"); zos.flush(); zos.close(); return outBlob; } private void addEntry(ZipOutputStream zos, Document doc, String fileName) throws Exception { Transformer t = TransformerFactory.newInstance().newTransformer(); ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); t.transform(new DOMSource(doc), new StreamResult(baos)); ZipEntry ze = new ZipEntry(fileName); byte[] data = baos.toByteArray(); ze.setSize(data.length); zos.putNextEntry(ze); zos.write(data); zos.flush(); zos.closeEntry(); }

  • Problems with Prism hosted in a WinForm ElementHost

    - by rabozo
    I am having problems with hosting a WPF prism app in an ElementHost control and am desparate for help. The PRISM app runs fine in silverlight and in a standalone WPF. The main Shell seems to setup fine in the elementHost on a WinForm however other views only load with the “RegisterViewWithRegion” and not the “Add,Activate” procedure. I need “Add,Activate” for scoping. However I beleive the problem is that I am loading my shell twice … not on purpose. I cannot find a way to call the bootsrapper and set the elementHot without calling “Resolve” twice. Here is the code for my WinForm and my bootstrapper. Again everything works when using "RegisterViewWithRegion". Here is the Winform Constructor: public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); if (System.Windows.Application.Current == null) { new MyApp(); } Bootstrapper bootStrapper = new Bootstrapper(); bootStrapper.Run(); var shellElement = bootStrapper.Container.Resolve<ShellContainer>(); //Attach the WPF control to the host elementHost.Child = shellElement; } Here is the bootstrapper: public class Bootstrapper : UnityBootstrapper { protected override DependencyObject CreateShell() { return Container.Resolve<ShellContainer>(); } protected override void InitializeModules() { IModule moduleSurvey = Container.Resolve<SurveyModule>(); moduleSurvey.Initialize(); } }

  • Android: Map Overlay Labels

    - by karnage
    I am building a MapView and I want my custom overlay items to display the name of the location they are marking when the user taps them, like the Android Maps app. I setup the onTap listener and the floating TextView to hold the location name. I still need to set it up so that it redraws the label when the user moves the map, etc. Anyway, I am wondering if I am reinventing the wheel here. Is there a built-in method I am unaware of? I would think that most implementations of MapView have labels. For reference, my implementation so far: in map xml: <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/mapBubbleWrap" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true"> <TextView android:id="@+id/mapBubble" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:visibility="gone" android:background="#ffffff" android:textColor="#ff0000"/> </LinearLayout> in my extended ItemizedOverlay: public boolean onTap(int index) { this.setFocus( mOverlays.get(index) ); return true; } in my Activity onFocus: public void onFocusChanged( ItemizedOverlay overlay, OverlayItem item ) { if( item != null) { mapBubble.setText(item.getTitle()); Point newPoint = mapView.getProjection().toPixels(item.getPoint(), null); mapBubbleWrap.setPadding(newPoint.x, newPoint.y-10, 0, 0); mapBubble.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); } }

  • ASP.NET MVC 2 - Html.DropDownList not working in an AJAX form

    - by Jacob
    I am trying to create an MVC 2 solution and I have run into the following problem: Index.aspx: <% using(Ajax.BeginForm("Forms", new AjaxOptions{UpdateTargetId="form", HttpMethod="POST"})) { %> <h3>Input: </h3> <p><%= Html.DropDownList("dropDown")%> <input type="submit" value="Select Mission" /></p> <% } %> HomeController.cs: public ActionResult Index() { var list = new [] { "item1", "item2", "item3" }; ViewData["dropDown"] = new SelectList(list); return View(); } public ActionResult Forms(string dropDown) { if (dropDown == null || dropDown == "") ViewData["txt"] = "Ahhh..."; else ViewData["txt"] = "You entered: " + dropDown; return PartialView("Form", dropDown); } Form.ascx: <%: ViewData["txt"] % This does not work. However, the whole thing does work if I use an Html.TextBox instead. For example: <div id="form"> <% using(Ajax.BeginForm("Forms", new AjaxOptions{UpdateTargetId="form", HttpMethod="POST"})) { %> <h3>Input: </h3> <%= Html.TextBox("textBox") %> <input type="submit" value="Select Mission" /></p> <% } %> </div> (and refactor the method in the controller so that it's argument is textBox instead of dropDown). My question is why does the AJAX form work for an Html.TextBox, but not for an Html.DropDownList, or what am I doing wrong? My only idea is that maybe the argument in the controller is not supposed to be of type string when using a DropDownList, but this is really just a guess. Thanks in advance.

  • The null value cannot be assigned to a member with type System.Int64 which is a non-nullable value t

    - by BritishDeveloper
    I'm getting the following error in my MVC2 app using Linq to SQL (I am new to both). I am connected to an actual SQL server not weird mdf: System.InvalidOperationException The null value cannot be assigned to a member with type System.Int64 which is a non-nullable value type My SQL table has a column called MessageID. It is BigInt type and has a primary key, NOT NULL and an IDENTITY 1 1, no Default In my dbml designer it has the following declaration for this field: [global::System.Data.Linq.Mapping.ColumnAttribute(Storage="_MessageId", AutoSync=AutoSync.OnInsert, DbType="BigInt NOT NULL IDENTITY", IsPrimaryKey=true, IsDbGenerated=true)] public long MessageId { get { return this._MessageId; } set { if ((this._MessageId != value)) { this.OnMessageIdChanging(value); this.SendPropertyChanging(); this._MessageId = value; this.SendPropertyChanged("MessageId"); this.OnMessageIdChanged(); } } } It keeps telling me that null cannot be assigned - I'm not passing through null! It's a long - it can't even be null! Am I doing something stupid? I can't find a solution anywhere! I made this work by changing the type of this property to Nullable<long> but surely this can't be right? Update: I am using InsertOnSubmit. Simplified code: public ActionResult Create(Message message) { if (ModelState.IsValid) { var db = new MessagingDataContext(); db.Messages.InsertOnSubmit(message); db.SubmitChanges(); //line 93 (where it breaks) } } breaks on SubmitChanges() with the error at the top of this question. Both projects reference a database project which opens a connection to an MS-Access 2007 database file and have references to System.Data.OleDb. In the database project I have a function which retrieves a data table as follows private class AdminDatabase ' stores the connection string which is set in the New() method dim strAdminConnection as string public sub New() ... adminName = dlgopen.FileName conAdminDB = New OleDbConnection conAdminDB.ConnectionString = "Data Source='" + adminName + "';" + _ "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" ' store the connection string in strAdminConnection strAdminConnection = conAdminDB.ConnectionString.ToString() My.Settings.SetUserOverride("AdminConnectionString", strAdminConnection) ... End Sub ' retrieves data from the database Public Function getDataTable(ByVal sqlStatement As String) As DataTable Dim ds As New DataSet Dim dt As New DataTable Dim da As New OleDbDataAdapter Dim localCon As New OleDbConnection localCon.ConnectionString = strAdminConnection Using localCon Dim command As OleDbCommand = localCon.CreateCommand() command.CommandText = sqlStatement localCon.Open() da.SelectCommand = command da.Fill(dt) getDataTable = dt End Using End Function End Class When I call this function from my Word 2007 Template project everything works fine; no errors. But when I run it from the console application it throws the following exception ex = {"The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine."} Both projects have the same reference and the console application did work when I first wrote it (a while ago) but now it has stopped work. I must be missing something but I don't know what. Any ideas?

  • Integrating Google Analytics into GWT application

    - by Domchi
    This should be totally simple but I can't get it working no matter what I try. I'm trying to use Google Analytics with GWT application. From what I understood, there are two way to do it: First is synchronous, by inserting tracking code at the end of <head> section HTML page and then calling this method: public static native void recordAnalyticsHit(String pageName) /*-{ pageTracker._trackPageview(pageName); }-*/; Second is asynchronous, by inserting tracking code just after <body> tag and then calling this method: public static native void recordAnalyticsHit(String pageName) /*-{ _gaq.push(['_trackPageview(' + pageName + ')']); }-*/; When running each of those methods, however, I get this exceptions in hosted mode: [ERROR] [myproject] Uncaught exception escaped com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (ReferenceError): pageTracker is not defined [ERROR] [myproject] Uncaught exception escaped com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (ReferenceError): _gaq is not defined When observing site in Firebug, I see that ga.js gets loaded, but that's about it. Did anyone get Analytics working with GWT? Also, does _gaq accept page name as trackPageview parameter, since all the examples I've seen use this call: _gaq.push(['_trackPageview()']); (Of course, that also doesn't work for me.)

  • Silverlight 2 Error Code: 4004

    - by jkidv
    Hey guys/gals. I have a silverlight 2 app that has an ObservableCollection of a class from a separate assem/lib. When I set my ListBox.ItemsSource on that collection, and run it, I get the error code: 4004 "System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range." Here is part of the code: public partial class Page : UserControl { ObservableCollection<Some.Lib.Owner> ooc; public Page() { ooc = new ObservableCollection<Some.Lib.Owner>(); Some.Lib.Owner o1 = new Some.Lib.Owner() { FirstName = "test1" }; Some.Lib.Owner o2 = new Some.Lib.Owner() { FirstName = "test2" }; Some.Lib.Owner o3 = new Some.Lib.Owner() { FirstName = "test3" }; ooc.Add(o1); ooc.Add(o2); ooc.Add(o3); InitializeComponent(); lb1.ItemsSource = ooc; } } But when I create the Owner class within this same project, everything works fine. Is there some security things going on behind the scenes? Also, I'm using the generate a html page option and not the aspx option, when I created this Silverlight 2 app.

  • NHibernate L2 Cache - fluent nHibernate configuration

    - by AWC
    I've managed to configure the L2 cache for Get\Load in FHN, but it's not working for queries configured using the ICriteria interface - it doesn't cache the results from these queries. Does anyone know why? The configurations are as follows: ICriteria: return unitOfWork .CurrentSession .CreateCriteria(typeof(Country)) .SetCacheable(true); Entity Mapping: public sealed class CountryMap : ClassMap<Country>, IMap { public CountryMap() { Table("Countries"); Not.LazyLoad(); Cache.ReadWrite().IncludeAll(); Id(x => x.Id); Map(x => x.TwoLetter); Map(x => x.ThreeLetter); Map(x => x.Name); } } And the session factory configuration for the database property: return () => MsSqlConfiguration.MsSql2005 .ConnectionString(BuildConnectionString()) .ShowSql() .Cache(c => c.UseQueryCache() .QueryCacheFactory<StandardQueryCacheFactory>() .ProviderClass(configuration.RepositoryCacheType) .UseMinimalPuts()) .FormatSql() .UseReflectionOptimizer(); Cheers AWC

  • How do you unit test a LINQ query using Moq and Machine.Specifications?

    - by Phil.Wheeler
    I'm struggling to get my head around how to accommodate a mocked repository's method that only accepts a Linq expression as its argument. Specifically, the repository has a First() method that looks like this: public T First(Expression<Func<T, bool>> expression) { return All().Where(expression).FirstOrDefault(); } The difficulty I'm encountering is with my MSpec tests, where I'm (probably incorrectly) trying to mock that call: public abstract class with_userprofile_repository { protected static Mock<IRepository<UserProfile>> repository; Establish context = () => { repository = new Mock<IRepository<UserProfile>>(); repository.Setup<UserProfile>(x => x.First(up => up.OpenID == @"http://testuser.myopenid.com")).Returns(GetDummyUser()); }; protected static UserProfile GetDummyUser() { UserProfile p = new UserProfile(); p.OpenID = @"http://testuser.myopenid.com"; p.FirstName = "Joe"; p.LastLogin = DateTime.Now.Date.AddDays(-7); p.LastName = "Bloggs"; p.Email = "[email protected]"; return p; } } I run into trouble because it's not enjoying the Linq expression: System.NotSupportedException: Expression up = (up.OpenID = "http://testuser.myopenid.com") is not supported. So how does one test these sorts of scenarios?

  • Access to DataTemplate Control of WPF Toolkit DataGridCell at Runtime, How?

    - by LukePet
    I have a DataGrid defined with WPF Toolkit. The CellEditingTemplate of this DataGrid is associated at runtime with a custom function that build a FrameworkElementFactory element. Now I have to access to control that is inserted inside DataTemplate of CellEditingTempleta, but I do not know how to do. On web I found a useful ListView Helper... public static class ListViewHelper { public static FrameworkElement GetElementFromCellTemplate(ListView listView, Int32 column, Int32 row, String name) { if (row >= listView.Items.Count || row < 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("row"); } GridView gridView = listView.View as GridView; if (gridView == null) { return null; } if (column >= gridView.Columns.Count || column < 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("column"); } ListViewItem item = listView.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem(listView.Items[row]) as ListViewItem; if (item != null) { GridViewRowPresenter rowPresenter = GetFrameworkElementByName<GridViewRowPresenter>(item); if (rowPresenter != null) { ContentPresenter templatedParent = VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(rowPresenter, column) as ContentPresenter; DataTemplate dataTemplate = gridView.Columns[column].CellTemplate; if (dataTemplate != null && templatedParent != null) { return dataTemplate.FindName(name, templatedParent) as FrameworkElement; } } } return null; } private static T GetFrameworkElementByName<T>(FrameworkElement referenceElement) where T : FrameworkElement { FrameworkElement child = null; for (Int32 i = 0; i < VisualTreeHelper.GetChildrenCount(referenceElement); i++) { child = VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(referenceElement, i) as FrameworkElement; System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(child); if (child != null && child.GetType() == typeof(T)) { break; } else if (child != null) { child = GetFrameworkElementByName<T>(child); if (child != null && child.GetType() == typeof(T)) { break; } } } return child as T; } } this code work with the ListView object but not with the DataGrid object. How can use something like this in DataGrid?
