• Bookmarklet, js injection and popup issue

The thing is : if I want to bypass pop-up blockers, I can't open my new window from the injected script. I need to open it right from the beginning in the bookmarklet code, and to access it later when needed. I've tried to do somehting like this : javascript:var my_popup = window.open('http://127.0.0.1:8000/resources/manage/new/', 'newResourcePopup',config='height=200,width=400,toolbar=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,location=no,directories=no,status=no'); (function() { // script injection (...) })(); but if I then try to access my_popup from my remotely loaded script, most browsers will throw a security warning and won't let me access the Window object. This is understandable since the script is not from the same domain than the displayed page, but I'm kind of stuck... A solution would be to use a div overlay, but I'd really prefer to open a window in this case. Any hints ?

• Ajax: strange behaviour while checking a textfield

  I have a registration form with checking the available name for username field through ajax. Inputing a username into username field and pushing the "Check!" button, the script sends value to php script. Then php script replaces the username field with the username field + style like this: <input type="text" name="login" value="'.$_GET["user"].'" style="width:205; height:22; border-width:1; border-color:red; border-style:solid; background-color:rgb(255,232,230);"> So when replacing the username field in the form with its equivalent from php script and then submitting a form, it is then get to script on the page that checks whether the username field is empty or not. And it returns an error that it is empty, though after checking through ajax the username field it has value. I don't understand why it gets to empty field checking script, having the same field name and having value?

I read that Android use dip for image resolution and i also read that 1 dip=1.5 pixel.I simply multiply the image size by 1.5px. Now the problem is that the image is blur and not as clear as in iphone apps.So will some body suggest me how should i make a design so that it could be used in iphone and android.

• Where does "new" fit in the flex creation cycle?

  In the following code, the call to myChild.bar() results in an exception because myChild is null. myParent is a valid object. What I don't understand is why myChild has not been created yet. • How do I get a less than in a javascript for loop in XSL to work?

  I am using CDATA to escape the script but in IE8's debugger I still get this message: "Expected ')'" in the for loop conditions. I am assuming it still thinks that the ; in the &lt; generated by CDATA is ending the loop conditions.   Is there a particular flag that we can use to prevent apps showing up in marketplace which require the phone to have a camera flash /LED? Typical apps are ones which make the phone act like a torchlight in dark. I have seen a tag which prevents apps requiring autofocus in a camera from appearing in the marketplace. • NSTask Launch causing crash

  Hi, I have an application that can import an XML file through this terminal command : open /path/to/main\ app.app --args myXML.xml This works great with no issues. And i have used Applescript to launch this command through shell and it works just as well. Yet when try using Cocoa's NSTask Launcher using this code : NSTask *task = [[NSTask alloc] init]; [task setLaunchPath:@"/usr/bin/open"]; [task setCurrentDirectoryPath:@"/Applications/MainApp/InstallData/App/"]; [task setArguments:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:[(NSURL *)foundApplicationURL path], @"--args", @"ImportP.xml", nil]]; [task launch]; the applications will start up to the initial screen and then crash when either the next button is clicked or when trying to close the window. Ive tried using NSAppleScript with this : NSAppleScript *script = [[NSAppleScript alloc] initWithSource:@"tell application \"Terminal\" do script \"open /Applications/MainApp/InstallData/App/Main\\\\ App.app\" end tell"]; NSDictionary *errorInfo; [script executeAndReturnError:&errorInfo]; This will launch the program and it will crash as well and i get this error in my Xcode debug window : 12011-01-04 17:41:28.296 LaunchAppFile[4453:a0f] Error loading /Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit Types: dlopen(/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit Types, 262): no suitable image found. Did find: /Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit Types: no matching architecture in universal wrapper LaunchAppFile: OpenScripting.framework - scripting addition "/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax" declares no loadable handlers. • My python program always brings down my internet connection after several hours running, how do I debug and fix this problem?

  I'm writing a python script checking/monitoring several server/websites status(response time and similar stuff), it's a GUI program and I use separate thread to check different server/website, and the basic structure of each thread is using an infinite while loop to request that site every random time period(15 to 30 seconds), once there's changes in website/server each thread will start a new thread to do a thorough check(requesting more pages and similar stuff). The problem is, my internet connection always got blocked/jammed/messed up after several hours running of this script, the situation is, from my script side I got urlopen error timed out each time it's requesting a page, and from my FireFox browser side I cannot open any site. But the weird thing is, the moment I close my script my Internet connection got back on immediately which means now I can surf any site through my browser, so it must be the script causing all the problem. I've checked the program carefully and even use del to delete any connection once it's used, still get the same problem. I only use urllib2, urllib, mechanize to do network requests. Anybody knows why such thing happens? How do I debug this problem? Is there a tool or something to check my network status once such situation occurs? It's really bugging me for a while... By the way I'm behind a VPN, does it have something to do with this problem? Although I don't think so because my network always get back on once the script closed, and the VPN connection never drops(as it appears) during the whole process.

  Hi, I created a custom yaml handler, myRunnerConfigHandler, and placed it under apps/frontend/lib/myRunnerConfigHandler.class.php and created a new config_handler and placed it under apps/frontend/config/config_handler.yml Now, under config_handler.yml,I placed my configuration for my new rundown: modules/*/config/rundown.yml: class: myRundownConfigHandler Basically, under each module, I want to have a yaml file under /apps/frontend/modules/home/config/rundown.yml However no rundown.yml files are being seen. Is there something else I need to do before rundown.ymls are seen? Thanks
