• Jquery ajax request error callback is called instead of success even after response recieved from server

  I am using jquery ajax funtion to get some content from my webservice. Response from the server is received but every time error callback is called instead of success callback. • A CSS code Or Any code to put text (saved in other server) into blogspot blog..???

  I have a blog in blogspot. Step (1). Whenever any visitor visit my blogspot blog through Google, the search search string is tracked through a javascript and the search string is saved in another server (say serverX) Step (2). Now, when another visitor (human/Google Bot/Any downloader/etc..) visits my blog, he/she should be able to see the search string (Saved in ServerX) in my blog (anywhere, be it content or at the bottom of the blog....it doesn't matter) Well, I can code the javascript and can also write a php code to save the search string... but i've absolutely NO idea how to do the step (2) Please tell me how to do Step 2... • Anyone using a CMS with a DAM back-end for Asset Management?

  Anyone here have any experience with using a CMS system for content and populating the site with images/assets from a DAM system? Working with a large number of assets (photos, logos, files, etc) that will be stored on a DAM system for management, revisions, etc. Would like to build a front-end system to help serve up the assets for the users as well as keep the general site updated with non-asset information (like what's new, faq's, etc.) Any ideas/thoughts on this from anyone who has been down this path? • Convert XML namespace prefixes with C#?

  I have run into an exasperating problem getting a Java service client to communicate successfully with a WCF service. I have overcome many hurdles, and I believe that this is my last one. The problem boils down to how Java Axis + WSS4J seem to handle xml namespaces. The Java platform seem to be very rigid in what they expect for xml namespace prefixes, and as such, do not understand the WCF reply messages. My problem in a nutshell is as follows. Since neither of those namespaces are present in the actual response xml, exceptions are thrown. I am wondering if there is any simple way to transform an xml document from one set of namespaces to another set using C#, .NET, and the System.Xml namespace. I've poked around with XmlNamespaceManager a bit, but it does not seem to fully support what I need...or at least, I have been unable to find any really useful examples, and am not fully sure how it works. I am trying to avoid having to write some heavy-duty process to handle this manually myself, as I do not want to drastically impact the performance of our services when called by a Java Axis/WSS4J client.

  Hi, I want to copy an int array to another int array. They use the same define for length so they'll always be of the same length. What are the pros/cons of the following two alternatives of the size parameter to memcpy()? memcpy(dst, src, ARRAY_LENGTH*sizeof(int)); or memcpy(dst, src, sizeof(dst); Will the second option always work? Regardless of the content? One thing that favors the last one is that if the array were to change, it'll be some house-keeping to update the memcpy()'s. Thanks

• Optimising local image loading/rendering on iPhone

  Hi, I'm looking to create an interface where the user can navigate through large volumes of images. Each image has a thumbnail of 128x128 that I wish to display and will be kind of similar to coverflow in operation. I have this all working in principle but am becoming stuck when navigating through content at speed. The interface begins to stutter and becoming jerky. I believe this is primarily because of disk i/o and the cost of rendering each image. Is there anyway this can be handed over to a seperate thread simply? Defaulting to a greyed out thumbnail until the image has loaded? How have Apple managed to achieve this in coverflow? Many thanks,

  They seem to open in an internet explorer type window, does anyone know: How long have HTA files been around? Have they been around since Windows 98? Do they rely on Internet Explorer being installed, and/or a certain version of it? If you choose another browser on the browser selection screen update for Windows 7, will HTA files still work? Do HTA files open on other browsers? Are HTA files windows-only? There is a huge lack of documentation on google about HTA files, so it's tricky to work out. I need to present the client with a list of minimum requirements to ensure our HTA content CD will work.

• When/why does Internet Explorer block installation of a (signed) ActiveX control?

  When the user visits a page that contains a signed ActiveX control that has never been seen before, I'd expect IE to ask the user for permission to install the control. But sometimes IE puts up a security warning instead. For example, consider this site, which has a test control: http://www.pcpitstop.com/testax.asp I'd expect to get this message -- and sometimes, I do: "The website wants to run the following add-on: 'XXX' from 'YYY'. If you trust the the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here..." But under IE8 on XP, I usually get this instead: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this site from showing certain content. Click here for options..." What's going on? Any ideas? Thanks!

• Packaging up ASPX, CSS and image files

  I'm designing a simple framework for small websites to be used in an intranet. The websites will all be similar, but there will be a few pages, or controls on pages, that are different. I would like to be able to version and maintain the common framework part of the websites as if they were a regular library - if I need to update CSS then I only have to do it in one place. Can I package-up ASPX files, images and CSS and distribute them like this? What am I missing? My goal is to allow the developers of the few core content pages to get up and running with the websites quickly, with standard styles and images. Thanks!

• Link to audio in XHTML/EPUB

  I'm looking into synchronizing an ebook in epub format (so the content is in XHTML) to an audio file. I'm thinking of putting something along the lines of: <a class="audiolink" href="sound.ogg?t=1093"></a> into the body of the document, and then have a custom epub reader that recognizes those tags and synchronizes the audio accordingly. That does seem like a bit of a hack to me though, especially the use of a special class name. Does anyone have any pointers to how this may be done in a more standards-compliant manner (or somewhere where it has been done before)? Ebooks with audio annotation seem like an idea that may already be out there.

• NSPredicates with custom objects

  Hi, I have the following problem and I cannot figure out how to solve it. I have an NSSet which contains Person objects (NSDictionary with 2 keys: name, age). From time to time I get an NSArray of Person objects and I want to add them to my NSSet but I want to filter out the duplicates. I'm thinking I could use NSPredicates but I am reading the documentation and I can't understand how should I format my NSPredicate to filter out my array content based on what I already have in NSSet. So I have an NSSet with 5 custom objects and I get an NSArray with 6 objects but 3 of them already exist in NSSet and I want to filter them out. I understand what I should do with basic objects like Strings, integers, etc but I don't know how to extend this to work with custom more complex objects. I hope I was clear enough with my problem. Any starting point, example or advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

  I going to use Google Checkout to process orders to purchase downloadable content. When the order process is completed via Google Checkout I'd like for the user to be able come back to my site, authenticate using their Google credentials (OpenID?) that they purchased the item with linked back end, and download the goods. The site is written using C# and ASP.NET MVC. Is this possible or how should I rethink this? Are there open-source libraries to get me started?

• How do I copy only the values and not the references from a Python list?

  Specifically, I want to create a backup of a list, then make some changes to that list, append all the changes to a third list, but then reset the first list with the backup before making further changes, etc, until I'm finished making changes and want to copy back all the content in the third list to the first one. Unfortunately, it seems that whenever I make changes to the first list in another function, the backup gets changed also. Using original = backup didn't work too well; nor did using def setEqual(restore, backup): restore = [] for number in backup: restore.append(number) solve my problem; even though I successfully restored the list from the backup, the backup nevertheless changed whenever I changed the original list. How would I go about solving this problem?

  Hello SO, I would like to have a confirmation on some point. My goal is to always get the same string (which is the URI in my case) while reading the href property from a link. Example: <a href="test.htm" /> with base_url = http://domain.name/ <a href="../test.htm" /> with base_url = http://domain.name/domain/ <a href="http://domain.name/test.htm" /> with base_url = any folder from http://domain.name/ I need to get http://domain.name/test.htm from the 3 situations above (or any other identical string). After some tests, it appears that my_a_dom_node.href always return the full-qualified URI, including the http://domaine.name, which should be okay for what I want. jQuery has a different behaviour and $(my_a_dom_node).attr('href') returns the content (text) that appears inside the HTML. So my trick is to use $(my_a_dom_node).get(0).href to get the full URI. The question is: can I rely on this?

• List Management Via MailChimp API

  I'm investigating using the MailChimp API to manage email notifications for a social networking site (similar to how Twitter sends email notifications to followers when a followee posts a new Tweet). My original plan was to have a "follower" list for each user in the app and then send an email to that list each time that user posts new content. However, it appears that the MailChimp API intentionally doesn't support creating campaign lists via the API (for CAN-SPAM reasons). I've read something about list segmentation in MailChimp, but I don't think that helps me with this situation. I'm curious if anyone else has run into a similar requirement to mine and how they dealt with it. Any insights would be most appreciated! Thanks.

  Hello, I'm sure I'm just doing something stupid here, but I can't quite figure out what it is. When I try to run this code: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <sstream> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { string s("hello"); istringstream input(s, istringstream::in); string s2; input >> s2; cout << s; } I get this error: malloc: *** error for object 0x100016200: pointer being freed was not allocated *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug The only thing I can think of is that I allocated s2 on the stack, but I thought strings manage their own content on the heap.   I'm running a curl request on an eXist database through php. The dataset is very large, and as a result, the database consistently takes a long amount of time to return an XML response.
