In order to secure the administrative access, we implemented a redirect that when asking for the admin login page, you are redirected to the same URL, via SSL (http://site/administrator -- https://site/administrator )
Everything seems to work just fine, login and admin session is encrypted, but…
I'd like to decrease the access-time for some files by moving them to the beginning of the fs.
Task 1: Clear a certain block range at the beginning of the fs (moving existing files to free space elsewhere).
Task 2: Move the files in question to that block range (should be able to grow a bit).
How would I do that?
There is a fast way to check ubuntu version of the system:

No LSB modules are available.

I searched a lot for this, but couldn't find an answer. Is there any technical difficulties in networking between these? I know I can run a webserver on any of these and access files, is there a proper way?
I have a TV in a room that can only get wireless access to my home network. Without having to drag one of my PCs into the room, what is the best (cheapest) way to watch online movies?
When I make changes to files, I keep on finding myself "saving as" and adding the current date to the file. It slows me down, and it creates a bunch of files that clot my folder. I would prefer to be able to Right Click on a file from the File Explorer and select to save different versions of this file, so that each time I save it, it…

At work there is a proxy that (understandably) blocks all ports except web ones.
However, during lunch hours you are allowed to play online games. But as ports are blocked, multiplayer games are out of the question.
So I was wondering, could I set up a tunnel on a web port, that would then allow me to access those blocked…
I'm working on a project where we would like to have around 50 outgoing (not incoming) VPN connections. We could use PPTP or IPSEC. Security isn't an issue, we control all the sites and users won't have access.
Windows Server appears to have a limit of 5 outgoing connections. Does anyone know if it's possible to tweak it to…

I would like to rent a remote computer, like a virtual Vista or Windows 7 desktop, and run everything on it and access it with RDP (fastest).
It could be virtual (running on Xen or Hyper-V) and the price needs to be right.
Windows 7 to Windows 7 has nice RDP offload feature and doing stuff in the cloud is fast.

I have some ISOs that need to be available across a WAN, so we are using an http server to host them (allows for non-authenticated, read-only access (beyond being on the VPN) to the data store).
The server the ISOs reside on is running CentOS 4, and Apache 2.0.58.
Is there a way around the 2GB filesize limit…
