  • Is an Iframe my only option?

    I have a job to develop a website. My client wants it so that there is a header, a menu and for the content a rectangle-like box in which you can scroll the text. So that header and menu don't move but the text in the box does. It should look like this: ***********header image *********** menu menu menu menu -------------- | you || | can || | scroll in || | this box || |_____________ Is my only option to implement this an iframe? Would it be bad practice to use an iframe for this?

  • How to store array of NSManagedObjects in an NSManagedObject

    I am loading my app with a property list of data from a web site. This property list file contains an NSArray of NSDictionaries which itself contains an NSArray of NSDictionaries. Basically, I'm trying to load a tableView of restaurant menu categories each of which contains menu items. My property list file is fine. I am able to load the file and loop through the nodes structure creating NSEntityDescriptions and am able to save to Core Data. Everything works fine and expectedly except that in my menu category managed object, I have an NSArray of menu items for that category. Later on, when I fetch the categories, the pointers to the menu items in a category is lost and I get all the menu items. Am I suppose to be using predicates or does Core Data keep track of my object graph for me? Can anyone look at how I am loading Core Data and point out the flaw in my logic? I'm pretty good with either SQL and OOP by themselves, but am a little bewildered by ORM. I thought that I should just be able to use aggregation in my managed objects and that the framework would keep track of the pointers for me, but apparently not.     So I rewrote my paths to something like: URL/really/nice/paths/ using mod_rewrite rules like this: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [PT,L] </IfModule> The question is how could I rewrite the paths for js/css/image files too, so when they are requested with a relative path from URL/really/nice/path/ to be served from URL/scripts/, URL/styles/ and URL/images/ folders instead? Can this be done without using RewriteBase?

  • Store files in C# EXE file

    It is actually useful for me to store some files in EXE to copy to selected location. I'm generating HTML and JS files and need to copy some CSS, JS and GIFs. Snippet System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes(@"C:\MyFile.bin", ProjectNamespace.Properties.Resources.MyFile); doesn't work for me! On "WriteAllBytes" it says: "cannot convert from 'System.Drawing.Bitmap' to 'byte[]'" for image and "cannot convert from 'string' to 'byte[]'" for text file. Help!

    I'm creating an HTML email and since background images can't be used on anything but <body> thought I could get around this by making a border image 100% height within a cell. Perhaps it was wishful thinking? I've searched at the solutions that worked in the past no longer work in modern browsers. Is there any special trick to making this happen without setting a hard height for the cell?   • Arrow in nav menus in CSS/JS (e.g. playframework.org)

    The navigation menu at the top of the www.playframework.org site features a small arrow pointing upward for the currently selected section (Home, Learn, Download,...). I tried to get behind the implementation they used, but I can't wrap my head around it - the resource does not show up in Chrome's Resources window, and an inspection of the elements did not show any signs of a background image, nor a JS interceptor (although I might have missed that). What in hellhound's name is going on there? :)

    Hi I have set up ubercart on a site and everything seems ok when adding products and viewing the catalog page however when I click on the product the product view does not include the product image or the price. I have have enabled all fields in admin/store/settings/products/edit/fields however this does not seem to change anything (SKU etc not displayed either, only description, size options, add to cart button and link to category) Can anyone suggest why these may not be showing, Am I looking at completely the wrong config screen?
