  • Controlling usb devices from a droid?

    Anyone know where I can find information on how I can control the USB port on a Droid running Android 2.0? I want to know how to either initialize the USB port or send data across it vi a program. I want to be able to atatch a device to the USB port to act as a switch to control a microservo. So when I said "send data" across the port, I just need to be able to energize the transmit pin on the USB to turn the servo on. Thanks ahead, Tom

    I'm looking into setting up a very simple site (static pages and an image gallery) with Wordpress for a non-web-savvy client, so I'd like to simplify the Editor role's admin interface as much as possible. Looking through Wordpress's plugin directory, I found several plugins that "CMS-ify" the admin side of things, hiding menu options and the like. Are there any "admin-cleaning" plugins you'd recommend? Are there any other plugins I should look into?

    What do I have to do to disable all system pop-ups in WinCE 6 R2? I read Mike Hall's post about Kiosk mode [1] but that's not going to work for us because we still want the standard graphical Explorer shell.   • WebKit doesn't paint background-color for entire width of final inline list item

    On our website http://www.dimagi.com, the items in the jQuery menu near the top of the screen gain a background-color on hover. The hover background-color of the rightmost list item ("About Us") is cut off at the very right edge of the text, seemingly only in WebKit (tested Safari and Chrome in Windows XP). Can anybody see what I might be doing wrong in the CSS? Or is this some obscure WebKit bug?

  • open iphone google maps with back button

    Hi, i have a webview in my iphone app where a google map location is opened like; Directions now the google map native app opens fine, but how could i add a RETURN button so it would jump back to my html page. Now i have to click my home button and the app close back to the desktop, so i have to start my webview again. in android its more easy, because there is always a back button and after viewing my gmap i simply back in my webview. thx chris

If I define a DynamicResource, I realise that an expression is created (where?) that is not translated into a resource until runtime, however, What I do not understans is whether this dynamicresouce, once built, is now "Static" For instance, if I create a context menu via a dynamicresource, are the menuitems which are created at runtime on access then static, even if they are bound?

  • memory leak on mdi with blank child form

    Hi, I've created a blank application with a mdi parent form opening a blank child form from the menu. When the parent form of the child form is set to the mdi - it appears the system does not release memory - thus a leak. When the parent form is not set, the child form is removed. Does anyone know why this apparent memory leak can be resolved? I've been using the ants memory profiler. Bob.

  • Web development - relative URLs without duplicating files

    I have a site with index.php in the root folder, images in /img , and overview.php in /content . I have a sidebar.php file that is included in both index.php and overview.php . How should I refer to /img/image.gif if I include a link in each file? The location of image.gif changes relative to the location of the file that references it. Using /img/image.gif in sidebar.php will work in index.php, but it fails for the file located at /content/overview.php. The only solution that I can see is to either include a seperate sidebar.php in each subdirectory, or include an /img directory in every sub-directory. The best suggestion that I can find is to use the <base html tag as suggested here: Change relative link paths for included content in PHP However, in the same link, SamGoody suggests that the <base tag "is no longer properly supported in Internet Explorer, since version 7." I'd like some insight on the matter before committing to a course of action. Thanks.   • Best PHP timezone list

    I have looked over the PHP list of supported timezones, but the whole list is a little long to include in a drop-down menu, for the user to select his or her timezone. Is there a list with the main city/area on that can be used?
