• Problem in migrating to LAMP from XAMPP.. Memory limit error

  I was using XAMPP for my local machine but as I wanted to run applications like mysql work bench and some test frameworks I decided to switch to LAMP self install. I'm using ubuntu and followed the instructions at: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ApacheMySQLPHP But the problem is LAMP is consuming too much of my memory (RAM) I've allocated 124 MB currently but still it gives me memory exhausted error when I run Drush (Drupal command line).   I am quite new to socialegine module development. I want to use multiple autocomplets on my one form. I have no problem of showing multiple auto completes but problem comes when one selects options from auto complete. I have seen that autocompet.js uses id toValues to show selected option from autocomlte. So if there is only one autocomplete on one form then we can have one element as toValues to show the selected value. But if we have multiple auto completes then how to show the selected item of each auto complete as separately? • Using CallExternalMethodActivity/HandleExternalEventActivity in StateMachine

  I'm attempting to make a StateMachine execute some database action between states. So I have a "starting" state that uses CallExternalMethodActivity to call a "BeginExecuteNonQuery" function on an class decorated with ExternalDataExchangeAttribute. After that it uses a SetStateActivity to change to an "ending" state. The "ending" state uses a HandleExternalEventActivity to listen to a "EndExecuteNonQuery" event. I can step through the local service, into the "BeginExecuteNonQuery" function. • How to fix this java.lang.LinkageError?

  I am trying to configure a custom layout class to Log4J as described in my previous post. The class uses java.util.regex.Matcher to identify potential credit card numbers in log messages. It works perfectly in unit tests (I can also programmatically configure a logger to use it and produce the expected output). However when I try to deploy it with our app in JBoss, I get the following error: --- MBEANS THAT ARE THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM --- ObjectName: jboss.web.deployment:war=MyWebApp-2010_02-SNAPSHOT.war,id=476602902 State: FAILED Reason: java.lang.LinkageError: java/util/regex/Matcher I couldn't even find any info on this form of the error - typically LinkageError seems to show up with a "loader constrain violation" message, like in here. Technical details: we use JBoss 4.2, Java 5, Log4J 1.2.12. We deploy our app in an .ear, which contains (among others) the above mentioned .war file, and the custom layout class in a separate jar file. We override the default settings in jboss-log4J.xml with our own log4j.properties located in a different folder, which is added to the classpath at startup, and is provided via Carbon. I can only guess: are two different Matcher class versions loaded from somewhere, or is Matcher loaded by two different classloaders when it is used from the jar and the war? What does this error message mean, and how can I fix it?

• Set up Gitosis, but can't clone

  I've set up Gitosis on a remote Ubuntu box which I will refer to as linuxserver as my host in the following commands. I'm also connecting from a Windows box using Cygwin. I followed the instructions according to: http://scie.nti.st/2007/11/14/hosting-git-repositories-the-easy-and-secure-way I had no problems up until I needed to clone the gitosis-admin repository to my local machine git clone git@linuxserver:gitosis-admin.git When I do this, the command executes, but hangs there displaying nothing until I ctrl-c to get back to a command prompt. No messages are displayed at all. I'm pretty sure I have my ssh keys set up properly, because logging in using "ssh linuxserver" into my regular account works perfectly without asking for a password. Edit: Over the weekend I set up a near identical Ubuntu box at home, and had no problem setting up Gitosis. The only difference was that I was connecting from OSX instead of Cygwin. Edit: I've also discovered that when using the Bash Shell provided with "Git Extensions", I have no problems, so the issue definitely seems to be some kind of Cygwin conflict. Edit: Just an update, but about a month after posting this question, I switched to Mercurial, and found that I prefer it much more than git. Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't plan on going back to git to try any of them out.

• Can I configure the ResetPassword in Asp.Net's MembershipProvider?

  I have an C# asp.net app using the default Sql MembershipProvider. My web.config has a few settings that control how I'm using this Provider: enablePasswordRetrieval="false" enablePasswordReset="true" requiresUniqueEmail="true" passwordFormat="Hashed" minRequiredPasswordLength="5" The problem I'm running into is that when people reset their passwords, it seems the ResetPassword() method returns a password that is longer than I want and has characters that can be confusing (l,1,i,I,0,O). Furthermore, I'm sending my users an email with a plain-text message and an HTML message (I'm using MailMessage with AlternateViews). If the password has unsafe HTML characters in it, when the email clients render the HTML text the password might be different (e.g. the %, &, and < aren't exactly HTML safe). I've looked over the "add" element that belongs in the web.config, but I don't see any extra configuration properties to only include certain characters in the ResetPassword() method and to limit the password length. Can I configure the ResetPassword() method to limit the password length and limit the character set it is choosing from? Right now I have a workaround: I call ResetPassword() to make sure the supplied answer is correct, and then I use a RandomPassword generator I downloaded off the internet to generate a password that I like (without ambiguous characters, HTML safe, and only 8 characters long) and then I call ChangePassword() to change the user's password after I've already reset it. My workaround seems kludgy and I thought it would be better to configure ResetPassword() to do what I want. Thank you~! ColoradoTechie

• How to compile ocaml to native code

  i'm really interested learning ocaml, it fast (they said it could be compiled to native code) and it's functional. • Problem installing mysql gem on Snow Leopard: uninitialized constant MysqlCompat::MysqlRes

  Hi All I've got a problem trying to install the Ruby mysql gem driver. I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and did the Hivelogic manual install of MySQL. This all seems to work fine as I can access mysql from the command line and make changes to the database. My problem is that if I now use rake db:migrate I get: rake aborted! uninitialized constant MysqlCompat::MysqlRes (See full trace by running task with --trace) Now it appears that my mysql gem isn't working correctly as I can access MySQL fine from Python using the Python driver (which I compiled to). I therefore tried to rebuild the gem using the following command from this site: http://techliberty.blogspot.com/, (incidentally I am using a recent Intel MacBook Pro): sudo env ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64" gem install mysql -- --with-mysql-config=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config This compiles although I get No definition for the documentation: Building native extensions. This could take a while... Successfully installed mysql-2.8.1 1 gem installed Installing ri documentation for mysql-2.8.1... No definition for next_result No definition for field_name ... I'm a little stumped as my mysql_config is located in the correct place: /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config And I have removed all other instances of the mysql gem, from my system. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.   What does the following error message mean? cannot override a concrete member without a third member that's overridden by both (this rule is designed to prevent ``accidental overrides''); I was trying to do stackable trait modifications. It's a little bit after the fact since I already have a hierarchy in place and I'm trying to modify the behavior without having to rewrite a lot of code. I have a base class called AbstractProcessor that defines an abstract method sort of like this: class AbstractProcessor { def onPush(i:Info): Unit } I have a couple existing traits, to implement different onPush behaviors. trait Pass1 { def onPush(i:Info): Unit = { ... } } trait Pass2 { def onPush(i:Info): Unit = { ... } } So that allows me to use new AbstractProcessor with Pass1 or new AbstractProcessor with Pass2. Now I would like to do some processing before and after the onPush call in Pass1 and Pass2 while minimizing code changes to AbstractProcessor and Pass1 and Pass2. I thought of creating a trait that does something like this: trait Custom extends AbstractProcessor { abstract override def onPush(i:Info): Unit = { // do stuff before super.onPush(i) // do stuff after } And using it with new AbstractProcessor with Pass1 with Custom and I got that error message.

• Can a class inherit from LambdaExpression in .NET? Or is this not recommended?

  Consider the following code (C# 4.0): public class Foo : LambdaExpression { } This throws the following design-time error: Foo does not implement inherited abstract member System.Linq.Expressions.LambdaExpression.Accept(System.Linq.Expressions.Compiler.StackSpiller) There's absolutely no problem with public class Foo : Expression { } but, out of curiosity and for the sake of learning, I've searched in Google System.Linq.Expressions.LambdaExpression.Accept(System.Linq.Expressions.Compiler.StackSpiller) and guess what: zero results returned (when was the last time you saw that?). Needless to say, I haven't found any documentation on this method anywhere else. As I said, one can easily inherit from Expression; on the other hand LambdaExpression, while not marked as sealed (Expression<TDelegate> inherits from it), seems to be designed to prevent inheriting from it. Is this actually the case? Does anyone out there know what this method is about? EDIT (1): More info based on the first answers - If you try to implement Accept, the editor (C# 2010 Express) automatically gives you the following stub: protected override Expression Accept(System.Linq.Expressions.ExpressionVisitor visitor) { return base.Accept(visitor); } But you still get the same error. If you try to use a parameter of type StackSpiller directly, the compiler throws a different error: System.Linq.Expressions.Compiler.StackSpiller is inaccessible due to its protection level. EDIT (2): Based on other answers, inheriting from LambdaExpression is not possible so the question as to whether or not it is recommended becomes irrelevant. I wonder if, in cases like this, the error message should be Foo cannot implement inherited abstract member System.Linq.Expressions.LambdaExpression.Accept(System.Linq.Expressions.Compiler.StackSpiller) because [reasons go here]; the current error message (as some answers prove) seems to tell me that all I need to do is implement Accept (which I can't do).

  Background info: I'm using GIT to get a repository of a project with Ruby files in it. The project lives in my SITES folder under home directory on my Mac. I have Ruby: 1.8.7 I have just upgraded Rails to: 3.0.3 All I am trying to accomplish is to be able to render localhost.com:3000 in my browser of the GIT project i've already downloaded so I can work on it locally.   I am trying to use a dll in my c# program but I just cant seem to get it to work. I have made a test app shown below. The return value is 0, however it does not actually do what it is supposed to do.   What is the data inputted into DSA when PGP signs a message? From RFC4880, i found A Signature packet describes a binding between some public key and some data. • Rolling Back a Transaction with MySQL Connector in VB.net

  Hey all- I have one multi-row INSERT statement (300 or so sets of values) that I would like to commit to the MySQL database in an all-or-nothing fashion. insert into table VALUES (1, 2, 3), (4, 5, 6), (7, 8, 9); In some cases, a set of values in the command will not meet the criteria of the table (duplicate key, for example). When that happens I do not want any of the previous sets added to the database. I've implemented this with the following code, however, my rollback command doesn't appear to be making a difference. • Error getting twitter request token using OAuth and PEAR Services_Twitter

  Hello, I am moving from the basic authentication method using username and password to the OAuth based authentication. I was using an old version of the pear package Services_Twitter, that did not support OAuth. The latest version of this package supports OAuth authentications, it has a few dependencies (HTTP_Request2, HTTP_OAuth). It was very simple to install them and upgrade the package. I did all this my local machine and had no trouble getting the authentication up and running. I committed this code to the test site, but every time the code request a "request token" I get the following error message "Unable to connect to ssl://api.twitter.com:443. Error #0" I have spend 6 hours making sure that all the pear packages where up to date, checking the customer token and token secret, making sure port 443 is not closed... in addition to various other test. I have exhausted my resources and I come to you in hope to find some answers. Thank you PD: One of the things I do not understand is why does the message says that the url is ssl://api.twitter.com:443 rather than https://api.twitter.com/request_token? the former one is the one I am using to get the request token.

• Reverse ordered list for jquery submitted comments

  Hey guys I have one more question lol. I am using a script that allows users to submit comments through jquery ajax, however when they are submitted, the submitted comments submit at the bottom of the other comments which are sorted in descending order (newest on top) when the page first loads (due to mysql query). • Ruby on Rails script/console printing more than expected

  I have a simple model setup in my Ruby on Rails app. (User {name, username, lat, lon}) and am writing a basic extension to the model. I would like the method to return users within a certain distance. It all works just fine in the page view, but as I am debugging I would like to work through some testing using the script/console. My question: It seems to be printing to the screen the entire result set when I run it from the command line and script/console.   hello all when i run the command to generate Localizable.string file from my terminal it says me bad entry in to the classes file the file gets generated but it has no entry in it infact it should have entry in it. • Connecting to SFTP service via Java Runtime process

Connection closed." I'd isolated that line in the script which connected to the remote machine, and ran it on the local machine (where this class file and script file are stored), and the command executed successfully I'd manually run the command which the Java class file will execute and it also tested okay: $ script.sh param1 param2 param3 I'd tried to look up the error message on the Internet, and apparently it seems to have something to do with known_hosts. Could this be the reason, or is there something else I'm missing? Thanks so much!

  Hi, using LyX I'm trying to convert the "comments" into "marginal notes". I tried several things but without luck. Like in this image: IMAGE MARGINAL NOTE I searched a lot trying to find how to solve this but without luck. I found the explanation of what is happening: Unexpected Output Only one character is in the new font You thought you changed font over a selection of text, but only the first character has come out in the new font. You have most probably used a command instead of a declaration. The command should take the text as its argument. If you don't group the text, only the first character will be passed as the argument.
