  • vim regex for replacing spaces within quotes

    I have text in the follwing format: ERR_OUT_OF_MEM, "ERR OUT OF MEM" ERR_SOMETHING_BAD, "ERR SOMETHING BAD" I want to replace all spaces in the text which are within quotes with underscores: ERR_OUT_OF_MEM, "ERR_OUT_OF_MEM" ERR_SOMETHING_BAD, "ERR_SOMETHING_BAD" The best regex I could come up with is: \("\w\+\)\@<= (there's a space at the end of that) but this only finds the first space in each quoted string, and I would need to repeat this multiple times to get the desired effect. Any way to do it in one shot? Thanks!

    I have a dll in the GAC. I browse to this same dll in a different place then referenced in the GAC using the file dialog of add reference. Visual studio repoints it to the gac location. Boom my build blows up on the build server that doesn't have this dll in the gac or at that location. What is the best way to fix this?

    I'm creating a ASP.NET MVC 2 application that envolve a section like questions here in stackoverflow (mine is with exams is another kind of application but can be extrapolate to same general idea of SO). OK I'm creating a cache per page, its mean something like this: [OutputCache(Duration=60, VaryByParam="page")] ActionResult AllQuestions(int page){...} But i want to invalidate that cache when a new question is created.     Dear all, I've a list of float numbers and I would like to delete incrementally a set of elements in a given range of indexes, sth. like: for j in range(beginIndex, endIndex+1): print ("remove [%d] => val: %g" % (j, myList[j])) del myList[j] However, since I'm iterating over the same list, the indexes (range) are not valid any more for the new list. Does anybody has some suggestions on how to delete the elements properly? Best wishes

    My .git file has grown to 229Mb and I wondering what the best way to cut down the size is. I know about git gc and have been using it a fair amount. I'm not totally sure about how git works, but I know that there is packaged information in there that I no longer need. Like, I know I no longer need the first five branches saved. Is there a way to completely erase really old branches or commits or something like that?

    I'm looking for arguments as to how best to size the young generation (with respect to the old generation) in an environment where low latency is critical. My own testing tends to show that latency is lowest when the young generation is fairly large (eg. -XX:NewRatio <3), however I cannot reconcile this with the intuition that the larger the young generation the more time it should take to garbage collect. The application runs on linux, jdk 6 before update 14, i.e G1 not available.
