Any one point me how to customize facebook share

I am trying to share my own custom url, image, title and description using Facebook and twitter. I am having lot of images and videos in my website. So i want to make my content viral on social websites. I am trying to keep share options for both facebook and twitter for everything individually. If some one share one image i want that image in the sharing thumbnail and url will be the page url with my own title, description. Based on the url i will point the user to that pic in my website. I tried in the below way. Unit tests and fixtures

We have a bunch of unit tests which test a lot of webpages and REST API services. Currently when our tests run it pulls from these pages live but this can take ages to run sometimes, and it also feels like the tests should be testing more of our code - not just relying on them being up and responding (if that makes sense..). Is it better practice to save a valid api response and with the unit tests load this in during setup? Thoughts?

The app design (and business model) expects to communicate with cell devices via SMS, addressing the web app via an SMS "Long code" (VMN or MSISDN). The mobile phone subscribers will be sending/receiving within the U.S. and using U.S. carriers. Long codes are not available within the U.S. cellular services.

Removing Directions markers from the Google Maps API V3

To remove a normal marker from a map, I understand you simply call marker.setMap(null), but when implementing the Google Maps directions services, it automatically adds markers A and B onto the map ( calculating directions from point A to point B ). I do not have control over these markers, so I cannot remove them in the normal way. So how can I remove these markers (I have custom markers on the map instead)?

By now I can see only two ways: Flickr - there are groups but you have to approve group membership anyway, or use tags for grouping which is bad for maintenance Custom server solution which will cost efforts and hosting Can you suggest other free photo services with geotags functionality, or opensource solutions? How to make div follow scrolling smoothly with jQuery?

Hello I'm creating a blog layout, which has an sidebar. In sidebar there are sections/boxes, but the last one of these boxes should follow scrolling when none of the other boxes are visible. So, when user scrolls down, he sees a normal sidebar, but when user has went down enough, sidebar ends but the last box starts to follow on the top of the screen. I have seen this a lot on different kind of sites. So hard to explain with my english. I already made it to follow screen smoothly with animate() but couldn't get it like this. Hope you understood. I already tried in Google for almost an hour but couldn't figure out any keywords (due to my bad english). iPhone SDK: problem managing orientation with multiple view controllers.

I'm trying to build an iPhone application that has two subviews in the main window. Each view has its own UIViewController subclass associated with it. Also, within each controller's implementation, I've added the following method: -(BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation: (UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return YES; } Thus, I would expect both of the views to respond to changes in orientation. However, this is not the case. Only the first view added to the app's main window responds to orientation. (If I swap the order the views are added, then only the other view responds. In other words, either will work--but only one at a time.) Why is this? Is it not possible to handle the orientation changes of more than one view? Thanks! EDIT: Someone else had this question, so I'm copying my solution here: I was able to address this issue by providing a root view and a root view controller with the method "shouldAutoRotate..." and adding my other views as subviews to the root view. The subviews inherit the auto-rotating behavior, and their associated view controllers shouldn't need to override "shouldAutoRotate..."

Windows 7 taskbar icon grouping with multiple similar windows

When I have a number of similar windows opens, for example, multiple explorer windows, they are all grouped into the same icon on the taskbar. When I hover over this I get a thumbnail of the window, and a piece of truncated text which is supposed to help me work out what that window is. However I also like to have the full path shown in explorer windows, so the truncated text is usually C:\CommonPathToEveryWind... I have noticed that if I have over 14 explorer windows open, then Windows gives up trying to display these useless thumbnails, and instead gives me a nicely formatted list of paths. My question is how can I customise this behaviour, to either disable thumbnails all together for a subset of applications where a thumbnail is inappropriate (explorer, 'Everything'); or to lower the max number of thumbnails per grouped taskbar icon to 2; or just to disable thumbnails all together, (without loosing the entire windows theme) Edit: Just to make it clear what I currently get, and what I actually want. I do still want to keep the grouping behaviour, so that multiple instances of the same program, Explorer for example, only take one slot on the taskbar. Heroku "We're sorry, but something went wrong." due to javascript_include_tag

Uploading my ruby on rails app to heroku causes the following error: We're sorry, but something went wrong. This does not occur on my local machine. After some debugging, I think I may have spotted the error, but do not know how to fix it. In my file application.html.erb, removing the following line solves the problem, but then my app loses its jquery mobile theme. Any ideas what I could do to fix the problem? HTML5 on iPhone Safari - data stored by localStorage does not always persist. Why?

Hi, I write a simple iPhone web app using HTML5's localStorage. Tests on a 2G device show that data stored using localStorage does not persist after the Safari process is killed although the opened Safari windows are remembered. The data is also lost in a case where I am on a different site on a different Safari window, then I change the window to where the web app in subject is shown. When Safari loads the page it automatically refreshes the page. Then the data is lost. Need a Java based interruptible timer thread

I have a Main Program which is running a script on the target device(smart phone) and in a while loop waiting for stdout messages. However in this particular case, some of the heartbeat messages on the stdout could be spaced almost 45secs to a 1minute apart. something like: stream = device.runProgram(RESTORE_LOGS, new String[] {}); stream.flush(); String line = stream.readLine(); while (line.compareTo("") != 0) { reporter.commentOnJob(jobId, line); line = stream.readLine(); } So, I want to be a able to start a new interruptible thread after reading line from stdout with a required a sleep window. Upon being able to read a new line, I want to be able to interrupt/stop(having trouble killing the process), handle the newline of stdout text and restart a process. And it the event I am not able to read a line within the timer window(say 45secs) I want to a way to get out of my while loop either. I already tried the thread.run, thread.interrupt approach. But having trouble killing and starting a new thread. Is this the best way out or am I missing something obvious?

Testing paginated UIScrollView on iPad

I'm creating a magazine reader (something like iGizmo on iPad). I have two scrollviews one that paginate over articles and second to paginate inside of an article through pages. I'd like to check memory usage of my app after scrolling through 20 pages. To do so I decided to create an automated ui test that scrolls 20 times right and the check the memory foot print at the end of the test. I need that info to have some metrics before I start optimizing the memory usage And Here is the thing: I can't make the ui automation to pass to the second page. My automation code looks like that: var window = UIATarget.localTarget().frontMostApp().mainWindow(); var articleScrollView = window.scrollViews()[0]; articleScrollView.scrollRight(); // do you know any command to wait until first scrolls ends? articleScrollView.scrollRight(); // this one doesn't work I guess that I need to wait for the first scorlling to end before I can run another one, but I don't know how to do that as each page is just an image. (I don't have anything else on pages yet) Any idea?

I would like to use Esper to generate episodes of events. I am trying to detect the changes in robot movement during each time period and was wondering what would be the best way of implementation. The rules for generation of episodes from the events would be If the new event time(eg. 7sec, robot A) of a robot is more than 3 sec than the latest event(eg. 3 sec, robot A) of the same robot, the new event belongs to a new episode. Each episode should represent only one robot (eg. 2sec, robotA and 3sec, robotB should output 2 episodes) Input data: Event Time Robot Position 1 1 A 0 2 2 A 1 3 6 A 2 Output data should be: Array[0]={Event 1,Event 2} Array[1]={Event 3} //more than 3 sec Input data: Event Time Robot Position 1 1 A 0 2 2 A 1 3 4 B 0 4 6 A 2 Output data should be: Array[0]={Event 1,Event 2} Array[1]={Event 3} //different robot Array[2]={Event 4} Please help provide suggestions. I have tried using mulitple listeners, one for each robot, to create episodes and it works but I am trying to use a single EPL statement to do it. I have tried win:time_accum(3sec) group by robot but the second example output: Array[0]={Event 1,Event 2, Event 4} Array[1]={Event 3} as the time window is shifted everytime an event comes in, the system still thinks that event 4 is less than 3 sec due to event 3. how do I create a unique time window for each robot? Setting UITabBarItem title from UINavigationController?

I have setup a UITabBarController with two tabs, one is a simple UIViewController and the other is a UINavigationController using second UIViewController as its rootController to set up a UITableView. My question is with regard to naming the tabs (i.e. UITabBarItem) For the first tab (simple UIViewController) I have added the following (see below) to the controllers -init method. - (id)init { self = [super init]; if(self) { UITabBarItem *tabBarItem = [self tabBarItem]; [tabBarItem setTitle:@"ONE"]; } return self; } For the other tab I have added (see below) to the second controllers init (rootController). - (id)init { self = [super init]; if(self) { UITabBarItem *tabBarItem = [[self navigationController] tabBarItem]; [tabBarItem setTitle:@"TWO"]; } return self; } Am I setting the second tabBarItem title in the right place as currently it is not showing? EDIT: I can correctly set the UITabBarItem from within the AppDelegate when I first create the controllers, ready for adding to the UITabBarController. Detectig by how much user has scrolled

I have an image pop-up ability on my website (see this screenshot), in order to show users the full resolution picture when they click on a smaller version on the page. This is the current CSS that positions it: div#enlargedImgWrapper { position: absolute; top: 30px; left: 55px; z-index: 999; } The problem now is that if I click on an image further down the page, the window still appears in the top left corner of the page, where I can't see it until I scroll back up. I need it to appear relative to the window, whatever its current position relative to the document is. Note: I don't want to use position: fixed; as some images might be taller than the screen, so I want users to be able to scroll along the image as well. My idea was to use JS to change the top value: var scrollValue = ???; document.getElementById('enlargedImgWrapper').style.top = scrollValue+30 + 'px'; How can I detect by how much the user has scrolled down the page (var scrollValue)? Or is there a 'better' way to do this? Thanks!

How do you make an added row from QueryAddRow() the first row of the result from a query?

I am outputting a query but need to specify the first row of the result. I am adding the row with QueryAddRow() and setting the values with QuerySetCell(). I can create the row fine, I can add the content to that row fine. If I leave the argument for the row number off of QuerySetCell() then it all works great as the last result of the query when output. However, I need it to be first row of the query but when I try to set the row attribute with the QuerySetCell it just overwrites the first returned row from my query (i.e. my QueryAddRow() replaces the first record from my query). What I currently have is setting a variable from recordCount and arranging the output but there has to be a really simple way to do this that I am just not getting. R optimization: How can I avoid a for loop in this situation?

I'm trying to do a simple genomic track intersection in R, and running into major performance problems, probably related to my use of for loops. In this situation, I have pre-defined windows at intervals of 100bp and I'm trying to calculate how much of each window is covered by the annotations in mylist. Graphically, it looks something like this: 0 100 200 300 400 500 600 windows: |-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----| mylist: |-| |-----------| So I wrote some code to do just that, but it's fairly slow and has become a bottleneck in my code: ##window for each 100-bp segment windows <- numeric(6) ##second track mylist = vector("list") mylist[[1]] = c(1,20) mylist[[2]] = c(120,320) ##do the intersection for(i in 1:length(mylist)){ st <- floor(mylist[[i]][1]/100)+1 sp <- floor(mylist[[i]][2]/100)+1 for(j in st:sp){ b <- max((j-1)*100, mylist[[i]][1]) e <- min(j*100, mylist[[i]][2]) windows[j] <- windows[j] + e - b + 1 } } print(windows) [1] 20 81 101 21 0 0 Naturally, this is being used on data sets that are much larger than the example I provide here. Through some profiling, I can see that the bottleneck is in the for loops, but my clumsy attempt to vectorize it using *apply functions resulted in code that runs an order of magnitude more slowly. I suppose I could write something in C, but I'd like to avoid that if possible. Can anyone suggest another approach that will speed this calculation up?
