• Entity Framework 4 ste delete foreign key relationship

  I'm using EF4 and STE w/ Silverlight. I'm having trouble deleting child records from my primary entity. For some reason I can remove child entities if their foreign key to my primary entity is part of their Primary Key. But if it's not, they don't get removed.   Hi All: I have added a code which will include child jsp using jsp:include. The problem i am facing is that the code present in child code is not executing. Below is the code iam using it now JSPF File: <jsp:include page="X.jsp" flush="true"> </jsp:include> the above code is present in a file named "A.jspf" which is included in another jsp file named "Parent.jsp". X.jsp: <%@ page import="java.util.*" %> <% System.out.println("********Child JSP"); %> Whenever i execute the parent file "Parent.jsp", all the other contents given in Parent.jsp and A.jspf is displaying except the content present in X.jsp. • How do you deal with UAC when creating a process as a different user?

  I am having an issue with UAC and executing a non interactive process as a different user (APIs such as CreateProcessAsUser or CreateProcessWithLogonW). My program is intended to do the following: 1) Create a new windows user account (check, works correctly) 2) Create a non interactive child process as new user account (fails when UAC is enabled) My application includes a administrator manifest, and elevates correct when UAC is enabled in order to complete step 1. But step 2 is failing to execute correctly. I suspect this is because the child process which executes as another user is not inheriting the elevated rights of my main process (which executes as the interactive user). I would like to know how to resolve this issue. When UAC is off my program works correctly. How can I deal with UAC or required elevated rights in this situation? If it helps any, the child process needs to run as another user in order to setup file encryption for the new user account.

  Greetings I have a program that creates multiples instances of a class, runs the same long-running Update method on all instances and waits for completion. I'm following Kev's approach from this question of adding the Update to ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem. In the main prog., I'm sleeping for a few minutes and checking a Boolean in the last child to see if done while(!child[child.Length-1].isFinished){ Thread.Sleep(...); } This solution is working the way I want, but is there a better way to do this? Both for the independent instances and checking if all work is done. Thanks

The probability that he will like the second type if he liked the first type is 3/8. It is known that the probability that the child won't like the second type of chocolate is doubled than the probability that he won't like the first type. What is the probability that the child like at least one of the two type of chocolates? So I tried: 1-[P(not like the first type AND not like the second type)] which is like: 1-[P(not like the first type)*P(not like first type / not like the second type) + P(not like the second type) which equals: P(not like first type / not like second type) But now, I don't have the data of the conditional probability. • Does JSON.js cause conflicts with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.serialize

  I am using Telerik controls in my webforms and want to serialize object on the client. Since I am getting a stackoverflow error with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.deserialize I wanted to try JSON. With both JSON and and the MS library I get "Sys.Application is undefined." Has anyone encountered this what did you do as a work around? EDIT I am serializing my object on a parent page and passing them via an argument to a child window. The child window is in an IFRAME tag. The object can be used in the child page, but I receive the stackoverflow error when I serialize it. The object is an Array of objects.

• Isn't INT more efficient than UNIQUEIDENTIFIER?

  I have a parent table and child table where the columns that join them together are the UNIQUEIDENTIFIER type. The child table has a clustered index on the column that joins it to the parent table (its PK, which is also clustered). I have created a copy of both of these tables but changed the relationship columns to be INTs instead, have rebuilt the indexes so that they are essentially the same structure and can be queried in the same way. When I query for a known 20 records from the parent table, pulling in all the related records from the child tables, I get identical query costs across both, i.e. 50/50 cost for the batches. If this is true, then my giant project to change all of the tables like this appears to be pointless, other than speeding up inserts. Can anyone provide any light on the situation?

  Assuming that no ORM (e.g. Doctrine) is used inside the Repository, my question is what is the proper way of instantiating the Aggregate objects? Is it instantiating the child objects directly inside the Repository and just assign it to the Aggregate Root through its setters or the Aggregate Root is responsible of constructing its child entities/objects?   How do I turn on/off the WS_CLIPCHILDREN window style in a Windows Forms parent control? I would like to display some text on top of the child control after it has painted. I googled and read a bit around here , but what i could find is that using php_simplexml i can do the following $xml = simplexml_load_file("test.xml"); echo $xml-getName() . ""; } my question is : i don't have a test.xml file, it is a url that i am reading/parsing, any way how to get the info from the url, not a file.   I can't find a way to hide dividers on an ExpandableListView without hiding the child dividers too. In SQL how can I produce sensible metrics to show how closely related the parents are?   I have two classes, a base class and a child class. In the base class i define a generic virtual method: protected virtual Bar Foo<T() where T : Bar {} Then in my child class i try to do this: protected override BarChild Foo() // BarChild inherits Bar { return base.Bar<T as BarChild() } Visual studio gives this weird error: The type 'T' cannot be used as type parameter 'T' in the generic type or method 'Foo()'. There is no boxing conversion or type parameter conversion from 'T' to 'Bar'. Repeating the where clause on the child's override also gives an error: Constraints for override and explicit interface implementation methods are inherited from the base method, so they cannot be specified directly So what am i doing wrong here?

  Hi, I have implemented inheritance for two parent classes called Table and Field. Each parent class has several child classes. In the Table parent class, I created a method that expects parameter List(Of Field). I get an error when trying to pass in parameter List(Of ChildField) to the method that expects a parameter of List(Of Field). • Full Width Divs using ScrollTo.js

  This is my first ever post. I am using the ScrollTo jQuery plugin and i have stumbled across a problem... I have 6 rows, each with 6 child divs , I would like each of these child divs to be full width. The plugin works great but I cannot seem to get the child div to be full width (then use ScrollTo to 'slide' to the next div, or to a div on the next row. ) Here is my code: http://jsfiddle.net/RZjrV/ Is it even possible? • Making a vertically scrolling parent div which does not cause overflow of children

  I have something as follows: <div style="float: left; height: 20px; overflow-y: scroll"> <div>hello this is a test</div> <div>hello this is another test</div> <div>t1</div> <div>t2</div> <div>t3</div> </div> The parent div grows to the appropriate width to fit the largest child (which is what I want). However, the vertical scrollbar causes the inner width to be smaller, which causes the largest child to wrap. Is there a way to get the parent to grow to the width of the largest child + the width of the scroll bar? I've tried every margin trick I know, but nothing.

• Graphics glitch when drawing to a Cairo context obtained from a gtk.DrawingArea inside a gtk.Viewport.

  I am trying to redraw the part of the DrawingArea that is visible in the Viewport in the expose-event handler. However, it seems that I am doing something wrong with the coordinates that are passed to the event handler because there is garbage at the edge of the Viewport when scrolling. • Flex 3: Embedding MovieClip Symbol to Image Control programmatically

  I've reviewed all the documentation and Google results surrounding this and I think I have everything setup correctly. My problem is that the symbol is not appearing in my app. I have a MovieClip symbol that I've embedded to my Flex Component. I need to create a new Image control for each item from my dataProvider and assign this embedded symbol as the Image's source. I thought it was simple but apparently not. • Clone DB table row through MVC in SQL Server

  Is there a simple solution for duplicating table rows in SQL Server as well as all table rows with foreign keys pointing to the cloned table row? I've got a "master" table and a bunch of "child" tables which have a foreign key into the ID of the master table. I need to not only create a perfect copy of the master table, but clone each and every child table referencing the master table. Is there a simpler way to do this than creating a new row in the master table, copying in the information from the row to be cloned, then going through each child table and doing the same with each row pointing to the cloned row in the master table? I'm using a SQL Server 2005 Database accessed through C# ASP.net MVC 1.0.
