    how would i manually add two chars without using the strncopy function? can i just say char1 + char2? or would i have to write a for loop to get individual elements and add them like this: addchar[0] = char1[0]; addchar[1] = char1[1]; etc etc addchar[n] = char2[0]; addchar[n+1] = char2[1]; etc etc

  • ffmpeg add two audio streams to video

    I tried this: ffmpeg -i /sdcard/video/transcode/video.avi -map 0:0,0 -i /sdcard/video/transcode/first.mp3 -map 1:0,1 -i /sdcard/video/transcode/second.mp3 -map 2:0,2 -acodec copy -vcodec py /sdcard/video/transcode/Output.avi to add two audio streams to one video file. But ffmpeg says the number of mappings should match the number of output streams. What is wrong here? I'm trying to work with an Android build of FFmepg "ffmpeg for android beta". "Does not work" means that this uncommunicative Android build of FFmpeg just stops without giving any error message. The -codec copy option does not work with this build. Now I tried the same set of files with the FFmpeg called command line tool that comes with Ubuntu 10. Something (can't say where it is from). The -codec copy option does not work with this FFmpeg too. By the way, ffmpeg -i input_with_first_audio_stream.avi -i second.mp3 -acodec copy -vcodec copy output_two_audio_streams.avi -newaudio works with both versions of ffmpeg that I use, but the first audio stream is played too fast (x10 or more), while the second audio stream is played correct. Many thanks in advance and sorry for my unconventional question and outdated versions of ffmpeg. But I am a lamer and it is not so easy for me to compile from the source (especially for the Android version). I will try to compile an up to date version of ffmpeg with Ubuntu, but I don't have much free time.

    It looks like the DSOFramer.ocx component is not available for download anymore from MSDN as described here. Also the DSOFramer component is a 32 bit component. Given this, i have 2 questions: Is there any other alternative for hosting a word document in a Windows Form apart from using the DSOFramer.ocx component? If i move to Windows 64 bit operating system, and run the windows form as a native 64 bit process, then how do I host the word document in a 64 bit process?

  • Application Architecture using WCF and System.AddIn

    A little background -- we're designing an application that uses a client/server architecture consisting of: A server which loads server-side modules, potentially developed by other teams. A client which loads corresponding client-side modules (also potentially developed by those other teams; each client module corresponds with a server module). The client side communicates with the server side for general coordination, and as well as module specific tasks. (At this point, I think that means client talks to server, client modules talk to server modules.) Environment is .NET 3.5, and client side is WPF. The deployment scenario introduces the potential to upgrade the server, any server-side module, the client, and any client-side module independently. However, being able to "work" using mismatched versions is required. I'm therefore concerned about versioning issues. My thinking so far: A Windows Service for the server. Using System.AddIn for the server to load and communicate with the server modules will give us the greatest flexibility in terms of version compatability between server and server modules. The server and each server module vend WCF services for communication to the client side; communication between the server and a server module, or between two server modules use the AddIn contracts. (One advantage of this is that a module can expose a different interface within the server and outside it.) Similarly, the client uses System.AddIn to find, load, and communicate with the client modules. Client communications with client modules is via the AddIn interface; communications from the client and from client modules to the server side are via WCF. For maximum resilience, each module will run in a separate app-domain. In general, the system has modest performance requirements, so marshalling and crossing process boundaries is not expected to be a performance concern. (Performance requirement is basically summed up by: don't get in the way of the other parts of the system not described here.) My questions are around the idea of having two different communication and versioning models to work with which will be an added burden on our developers. System.AddIn seems quite powerful, but also a little unwieldly. (I'm also unsure of Microsoft's commitment to it in the future.) On the other hand, I'm not thrilled with WCF's versioning capabilities. I have a feeling that it would be possible to implement the System.AddIn view/adapter/contract system within WCF, but being fairly new to both technologies, I would have no idea of where to start. So... Am I on the right track here? Am I doing this the hard way? Are there gotchas I need to be aware of on this road? Thanks.

    I need to build a library that is to be placed at a custom location stored in the variable CUSTOM_OUTDIR. Currently, I am using the following code to make sure that the library is copied to its proper location. ADD_LIBRARY(example MODULE example.c) GET_TARGET_PROPERTY(FILEPATH example LOCATION) ADD_CUSTOM_COMMAND( TARGET example POST_BUILD COMMAND ${CMAKE_COMMAND} ARGS -E copy ${FILEPATH} ${CUSTOM_OUTDIR} ) However, this is not a good solution as the copying is done post_build, and I end up with two copies of the library. Is there a way to setup CMAKE_BINARY_DIR just for the example library so that only one copy of it is kept in the proper location?

  • Plugin Framework - can there be too many addin assemblies?

    Hi, The product I'm working on needs to be built in such a way that we have a quote engine driven by a pluggable framework. We are currently thinking of using MAF, so we can leverage separation of the host and addin interfaces for versioning. However, I'm concerned that we'd have lots of assemblies, it's likely that we'd have one for each quote engine addin - of which there could be 100 going forward, we also need to support multiple versions, so there could be lots of assemblies in total. The quote engine also uses WF to drive it, which means each AppDomain for each addin will need a workflow runtime associated with it. This seems quite heavyweight, however we can unload unfrequently used addins. Does this seem like a good design? We've also looked at a single AppDomain solution using an IOC container to load addin types, but I'm concerned that we won't be able to unload any of the assemblies, given their quantity.

    Hey all, I have this SimpleXMLElement object with a XML setup similar to the following... $xml <<< EOX <books> <book> <name>ABCD</name> </book> </books> EOX; $sx = new SimpleXMLElement( $xml ); Now I have a class named Book that contains info. about each book. The same class can also spit out the book info. in XML format akin the the above (the nested block).. example, $book = new Book( 'EFGH' ); $book->genXML(); ... will generate <book> <name>EFGH</name> </book> Now I'm trying to figure out a way by which I can use this generated XML block and append as a child of so that now it looks like... for example.. // Non-existent member method. For illustration purposes only. $sx->addXMLChild( $book->genXML() ); ...XML tree now looks like: <books> <book> <name>ABCD</name> </book> <book> <name>EFGH</name> </book> </books> From what documentation I have read on SimpleXMLElement, addChild() won't get this done for you as it doesn't support XML data as tag value.     The stack is initialized with a int MaxSize =3. Then I push one int onto the list. " Pushed:" is returned to the console. Program crashes here. I think my logic is flawed but unsure.     How to .NET package JavaScript/bookmarklet as Interner Explorer 8/9 Plugin? I have recently finished writing JavaScript code for a browser addon, which basically (once the JS is included) runs on page-load, for given domains it then checks for certain elements in the DOM and adds new relevant elements(/information) to the page. Since the JavaScript only reads/affects the HTML DOM independently (and does not need any toolbar buttons or anything else) the JS purely needs adding to the browser's webpages. I have packaged the code to work with Firefox and Chrome and those are both working well, and I can run the code for IE in 'bookmarklet' form without problems, but I would like to learn how to package JavaScript as an actual .NET .MSI addon/plugin that will install for the current Internet Explorer 8/9. Does anyone know of a suitable guide or method I might refer to please? I have tried searching online for tutorials but most walkthroughs refer to writing the plugin body itself (which might involve unnecessary stages/includes) and are thus not regarding packing existing JS. I hope someone might have the solution please? Note: Someone packaged an old version for me as a MSI installer for Internet Explorer 7 a year ago, which installed into Program Files with a plugin.dll plugin.tlb and plugin.InstallState plus BandObjectLib.dll Interop.SHDocVw.dll and Microsoft.mshtml.dll if that is useful.

    I was used to use RockScroll (or MetalScroll), but when I started to use ReSharper my RockScroll start to show some bugs. Well, this is scope to another discussion http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1089493/is-rockscroll-compatible-with-resharper. But my problem is related, because now without MetalScroll I can't highlight all occurrences, what I consider very useful in many situations. Someone have another plugin for VS2010 or for ReSharper that do the same or better?

    Hi, Sorry for this vaguely described problem, but please look at the problem from the Win32 API's perspective. I'm writing a Word addin using Addin Express with Delphi, and I use some other 3rd party VCL's also, including virtual stringtree, TNT controls, etc. Now I cannot input Russian characters in Word anymore, but I can input English and Chinese.... Since it's a large project I don't know where to start finding the problem, would you give me some generic tips, I'll be appreciated that! Thank you, and have a nice day!
