  • Missing backslashes in filename using C#

    Hi, I have a string literal as follows: string filename = @"C:\myfolder\myfile.jpg"; When I use File.Exists(filename) it works most of the time but sometimes I get an error saying the following file doesn't exist: C:myfoldermyfile.jpg Something seems to strip the backslashes out of the filename. This code is sometimes accessed via an ajax request. Does anyone know why/how this could be happening?     Hi, I'm a newbie to .NET. I have a class called Project, a project can have multiple forecasts.Now If I want to check if the projects has any forecasts or not should I use a readonly boolean property called HasForecast() or should I use a method named HasForecast() which basically returns a boolean value.From framework design guidelines I came to know that methods should be used when the operation is complex,since here I'm retrieving the value of forecasts from DB should I consider method, or since it is a logical data member should I use a property.If I use a property can I call a method in DBLayer from its getter.Please explain Regards, Ravi

  • RenderPartial missing from Html Helper in ASP.NET MVC 2

    I've just converted an application from MVC 1 to MVC 2 using the VS2010 wizard. Not found is the Html.RenderPartial which I have sprinkled around a number of views. I am guessing that this is something that I've done wrong because I see no mention of this as a breaking change in the white papers and docs. Everything I'm using is RTM/RTW and no beta or RC versions.

  • Debugging fortran code in Eclipse with Photran and GDB debugger: missing symbols

    I have a program, written in fortran90, previously successfully compiled on a compaq compiler and working, that I'm now trying to compile with gfortran. I can compile the code to an .exe and run it. It works fine until a certain point in the routine and then an error is thrown. My current configuration: Windows 7 Eclipse Juno with CDT Photran Cygwin installation with gfortran compiler and GDB debugger (gdb.exe) Configurations for the debugger: GDB command set: Standard (Windows) Protocol: mi Shared libraries: don't load shared library symbols automatically (when activating this, no changes are noted). When running the debug command I get the following output: .gdbinit: No such file or directory. Reading symbols from /cygdrive/c/Users/thys/Documents/doctoraat/12_in progress/Hamfem/Debug/Hamfem.exe...done. auto-solib-add on Undefined command: "auto-solib-add". Try "help". Warning: C:/Users/thys/Documents/doctoraat/12_in progress/Hamfem/Hamfem/in: No such file or directory. [New Thread 5816.0x1914] [New Thread 5816.0x654] Basicly that leaves me with 2 questions: Where can I find the .gdbinit file in the cygwin installation? Are there any other possible errors in my setup, or points to think about?

    I'm just exploring ruby and was wondering about the theoretical possibility of adding a method to the class of an object. For example, define a method that takes in a parameter and would add a method to the class of that parameter (not just to the parameter object itself). Something like this example: class SomeClass end class AnotherClass end alpha = SomeClass.new beta = AnotherClass.new def AddHelloMethodTo param # This is where I'm trying to # add a method to the class of the parameter def param.class.Hello "Hello" end end AddHelloMethodTo alpha AddHelloMethodTo beta gamma = AnotherClass.new alpha.Hello beta.Hello gamma.Hello (Excuse me if I have syntax errors / typos I'm REALLY new to this!) Notice how I don't call the AddHelloMethodTo on gamma but I expect Hello to be defined because I added it to the class. Is this possible?

    I've managed to set up Django CMS for my website successfully...however, when editing a page in the admin, the trailing / isn't added automatically so my URL's look something like: http://localhost:8000/admin/cms/page/22 When I tried running the example project that comes bundled with the Django-CMS setup, this slash is added automatically....how can I have the same for my project?

  • Google Web Tookit User extensions missing Spinner?

    When I look at the example of the user extensions of GWT-Ext I saw the Spinner as a user extension: http://www.gwt-ext.com/demo-ux/#spinner When I download the library from http://code.google.com/p/gwt-ext-ux/downloads/list (I downloaded the latest build -- 0.3.0) it does not appear to contain the Spinner class. Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to use it?

  • Rails: Generated tokens missing occasionally

    We generate an unique token for each user and store it on database. Everything is working fine in the local environment. However, after we upload the codes to the production server on Engine Yard, things become weird. We tried to register an account right after the deploy. It is working fine and we can see the token in the db. But after that, when we register new accounts, we cannot see any tokens. We only have NULL in the db. Not sure what caused this problem because we can't re-produce this in the local machine. Thanks for your help.

    I am trying to clean the holes out of my Mac address book. As a first step I want to ask all my friends for their birth day, to be able to congratulate them with cheesy Hallmark cards. I need a "group" in my address book, to mailmerge personalized messages from.     I have a GWT app with a bunch of textboxes. In firefox I would expect that when I type a word in a textbox that I have already typed in and submitted, that firefox would offer to autocomplete that text. But for this GWT app it is not happening. Also in IE it seems that none of my css stuff is loaded. And when I IE developer tools on my GWT page, it can focus in on any of the textboxes it just focuses on the encompassing DIV around all the textboxes.

  • Strange profiling results: definitely non-bottleneck method pops up

    I'm profiling a program using sampling profiling in YourKit and JProfiler, and also "manually" (I launch it and press Ctrl-Break several times to get thread dumps). All three methods give me extremely strange results: some tens of percents of time spent in a 3-line method that does not even do any allocation or synchronization and doesn't have loops etc. Moreover, after I made this method into a NOP and even removed its invocation completely, the observable program performance didn't change at all (although it got a negligible memory leak, since it was a method for freeing a cheap resource). I'm thinking that this might be because of the constraints that JVM puts on the moments at which a thread's stacktrace may be taken, and it somehow turns out that in my program it is exactly the moments where this method is invoked, although there is absolutely nothing special about it or the context in which it is invoked. What can be the explanation for this phenomenon? What are the aforementioned constraints? What further measurements can I take to clarify the situation?

  • Xcode missing Command Line Utility section - can't start Foundation project template

    I downloaded the iPhone SDK from the iPhone dev center a couple of days ago and installed it yesterday. I'm following the Stanford iPhone development tutorials available on iTunes U. On Assignment 1B, the first instruction is to open a new Foundation Project template. The screenshot shows several sections in Xcode which my version doesn't seem to have, including the Command Line Utility section which the Foundation Project template is shown to be in. Does this need to be installed manually? I tried searching on Google with no luck. The fact that I'm an OS X newbie doesn't really help any either. Thanks in advance!

However, printing the array in CodeIgniter, it has no value for one field ,seven_profit, where it is there in the SQL query ran in phpMyAdmin, just the discrepancy in this one field, from sql to php array... I just can’t see why, when printing the array, that one field, which should have value of 26, contains nothing? Any ideas? I changed the field name from starting with a number in attempt to fix it, but no difference. I know this is complex and looks horrible, any help or just people coming across something similar would be great to know about, thanks. Sam

  • PHP Missing Function In Older Version

This is working perfect in PHP version 5.3.0 but on the server side it is PHP version 5.2.17 which lacks this function. Is there a way I can fix this efficiently?
