• No Matching Function Error for inserting into a list in c++

  I am getting an error when I try to insert an item into a list (in C++). The error is that there is no matching function for call to the insert(). I also tried push_front() but got the same error. • Sony Vaio CPU fan runs at full speed after installing Windows 8.1 preview

  I installed the Windows 8.1 preview on my Sony Vaio E Series 14P (http://www.sony.com.au/product/sve14a27cg) and now my CPU fan is running at full speed all the time. When I first start my computer it runs normally, but a few seconds after reaching the Windows login screen the fan speed will suddenly jump up to max. It's pretty loud, so I'm hoping there's a solution! I've tried updating my bios to the latest version but that didn't help. I've tried programs like SpeedFan, but that wasn't able to detect my CPU fan at all. My CPU usage and temperature is normal and doesn't warrant the max fan speed.   I have a dispute on my hands in which the other party (landlord's real estate agent) dishonestly claims to not have received an email that I truly did send. My questions is, what are the ways to prove that the email was indeed sent? Thus far, the methods that I have already thought of are: Screenshot of the mail in the outbox Forwarding a copy of the original email I am aware of other things like HTTP/ SMTP headers etc that would exist as well. Are these useful for my purposes, and if so how do I extract these? The email in question was sent using Yahoo webmail ( http://au.mail.yahoo.com/ ). Edit: I am not seeking legal advice here, just technical advice as to how to gather this information.

  I'm trying to pick an IP telephony technology to learn. I heard of Asterisk, trixbox, freePBX, and my head was already spinning being not sure what to learn. I haven't built a PC from scratch in about 3 years, and I'm wondering the following Do DDR3 ram chips need to be installed in three at a time? Or can I just install one or two now and install more later without any particular pattern? If I buy 2000MHz RAM from Corsair, will that work at 1866 MHz? (which is the highest frequency the motherboard supports) Is it just me or is 1866 RAM not around? Any help is greatly appreciated.

• USB AutoRun Dialog: Open a webpage option not shown in dialog

  I am attempting to make our webpage open when someone plugs in our USB device. My Problem: When we plug in the USB device the autorun dialog appears but there is never an option to open/run the webpage we have specified. See below pic of the dialog we see. Isn't there meant to be an option that says something like "Open in Internet Explorer" or etc.? What we are hoping to achieve is to have another option below 'Use this drive for backup' that says something like 'Open in Web Browser' or something that will ultimately open our webpage when the users decides to. • Is there any way of preventing .csv files being converted into excel format

  I'm trying to work with an automated testing tool which can use .csv files as its data sourse. After saving a notepad file containing a number of fields and data seperated by commas as .csv it appears to have been converted to an excel file. When I run the test, only the first line of values is identified and can be run within the automated test. Not sure if this is expected with the testing product (www.badboy.co.au), but just wondered if there was a way of preventing excel from taking control of the .csv file? Any helpfull feedback would be great.

  The following URL doesn't display for me in Internet Explorer 8. I even tried compatibility mode and it didn't fix the issue. http://beat.com.au/sites/default/files/images/_DSC5596.jpg It appears just fine in Chrome/Safari/Firefox. I suspect it has something to do with the filename starting with _ but that seems like a fairly big stretch to me. Is this error repeatable on other people's computers? And why on earth would such a strange thing happen anyway?

• How can i lock images to a cell in excel 2010

  Ok, so i am using microsoft excel 2010 and have a set up currently where i have 2 views expanded and deflated using the Group or +/- function. My problem is that ui have images on the workbook too. The images are over the cells which are to be "hidden" when the - button is pressed and i would like the images to disappear with them. This is not curently happening instead they are moving to the next visible cell. I have included an example below incase i wasn't clear. I wish to hide Columns M:AU and the images are in various cells suchas N5 and O5. When i colapse (hide) the column range all of the images move to "AV5" the next row along that isn't hidden. This means the workbooks is looking messy when colapsed which is the oposite of what i was trying to do. Can anyone advise on a way around this?

  One day I came in to work and found that our development server - a Ubuntu box had a full hard disk. I did a bit of investigation using the du command and it seems like mozilla thunderbird is the major culprit. One of the mailboxes used to get a lot of spam so I guess this accounts for the 667GB. I opened up Thunderbird to see how much space the inbox actually takes up and it turns out to be approximately 500MB - over 1000 times less than the stuff that has not been compacted over the years. So i right clicked on the inbox directory in the tree on the left of Thunderbird and selected 'compact'. I left it for about 12hours but even after that it still said 'compacting folder' on the status bar. I don't use Thunderbird on this PC - it belonged to a colleague who has left the company, however I do occasionally need to look through the inbox for references to the project I am working on, so deleting all traces of Thunderbird is not an option. My question is - is there any way I can monitor the progress of Thunderbird's compacting function? I would really like to know how long it is going to take. Also is there any way I can speed up the compacting process?

• The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle Client

  There was a recent upgrade of the Oracle client on a production web server housing serveral app pools each containing multiple web sites.  The upgrade consisted of adding the 11.2 client tools on the web server, but leaving the 9.2 and 10.2 versions alone.   After learning the upgrade occured, I updated Oracle.DataAccess.dll on my site to the 11.2 dll, and the web site ran smoothly.   The next day I discover the site is throwing an error:   Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException:   The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle Client   The App Pool will connect with an installed version of the Oracle client provider, and coordinate database interactions.  If a request comes in for a web site configured using an earlier version of the provider, that is the version the App Pool will use for Oracle interactions.  If a request is made for a site configured for a different version of the provider, the App Pool will see a conflict and throw the above error.   This web site: http://splinter.com.au/blog/?p=156 described the steps to grab the DLLs for a provider and bring them local (for Oracle 11.1), but even when I brought the DLLs for the Oracle Provider into the local bin directory, the App Pool would still determine the version of the oracle client and continue to throw the exception.   My only resolution for the above problem has been to have dedicated IIS app pools per version of Oracle client being leveraged.

  Questions should be used to reinforce concepts throughout the title. You have the option to include questions in the course, in assessments, in Knowledge Checks, or in any combination. Questions are required for creating knowledge checks and assessments. It is important to remember that questions that are not in assessments are not tracked. Be sure to structure your outline so that questions are added to the appropriate assignable unit. I usually recommend that questions appear directly below their relative section. This serves two purposes. First, it helps ensure that the related content and question stay relative to one another. Secondly, it ensures that when the "link to subject" option is used it will relate back to the relative content. Knowledge checks are created using the questions that have been added to the related assignable unit. Use Knowledge Checks to give users an additional opportunity to review what they have learned. Knowledge Check allows users to check their own knowledge without being tracked or scored. Many users like having this self check option, especially if they know they are going to be tested later. Each assignable unit can have its own Knowledge Check. Assessments provide a way to measure knowledge or understanding of the course material. The results of each assessment are scored and tracked. Assessments are created using the questions that have been added to the relative assignable unit(s). Each assignable unit, including the Title AU, can have multiple assessments. Consider how your knowledge paths will be structured when planning your assessments. For instance, you can create a multiple-activity knowledge path, with multiple assessments from the same title or assignable unit. Also remember, in Manager an assessment can be either a pre or post assessment. Pre-assessments allow the student to discover what is already known in a specific topic or subject and important if the personal course feature is being used. Nous discutons avec Bernard Fedotoff sur comment jumeler la gestion de projet et les méthodes de développement agile. Entre autres, avec les méthodes agiles on se demande où est la place du responsable de projet. Bernard Fedotoff est Microsoft Regional Director depuis 1996 ; il a animé les Devdays et Techdays en Suisse et en France depuis 1997. Il a été fondateur et PDG de PSEngineering depuis 1990, société qu’il a revendue en 2004. En 2005, il a fondé la société Agilcom. Bernard a mené auprès de clients français, suisses, et d'afrique du nord de nombreuses missions en technologie .Net, d'architecture et de coaching d'équipes de dévoppement. Son passé de Pdg et son expertise technologique apportent aux projets qu'il accompagne deux points de vue riches d'expériences et de convictions. Il a aussi accompagné la mise en place de plateaux offshores vers la Tunisie, en implémentant des approches Agile avec Team Foundation Server. Enfin, il est aussi co-auteur de nombreux ateliers des coachs publiés sur le site MSDN de Microsoft France. Bernard est titulaire d’un diplôme d’ingénieur ainsi que d’un troisième cycle universitaire en robotique.
