  • Guide Text Not working when text is entered using another control

    I have a textbox used to enter the text by user, which guide-text which disappears when user starts to write. But when I use a dropdown & select a text from it, & this text is automatically entered in the textbox, the guide-text is not fading away.   • Been asked a dozen times, but no luck from what I've read. Prevent Anchor Jumping on page load

    I'm currently working with WP theme that can be found here: sanjay.dmediastudios.com I'm currently using 'smooth scroll' on my page, I'm attempting to have the page smoothly scroll to the requested section when coming from an external link (for instance coming from the blog page takes you to sanjay.dmediastudios.com/#portfolio) from there I want the page to start at the top and THEN scroll to the portfolio section. What's happening is it briefly displays the 'portfolio section' (anchor jump) and THEN resets to the top and scrolls down. It's driving me nuts :(.     I am trying to create a function which takes values from various html elements of the page to create a string and pass on to a variable. now this works great for all browsers except IE 8 and 9. I have a textbox with a keyup event that filters the tag cloud div (It actually just hides the tags if not in filter condition).   • In Jeditable, how do I make it so that when I click the div to edit, the text box content has initial value that is processed?

    When the user clicks on the div, jeditable will make a text box. However, I want the initial text to be done with function stripTags(), instead of what's on the page. The reason is that I'm using some URL techniques to turn plain text links into URLs. In short: My external javascript file doesn't seem to get the variables which I defined in the main.php file..   • Slick PHP based image manager for managing user profile images

    Hi, I'm just throwing this out there as I'm plodding my way through creating a Member Photo album on a site i'm working on, where they can login and upload their photos to a personal gallery. I want this to be nice and lightweight, but still slick and "modern" with a modal based interface for the user. I'm surprised though that there is seemingly nothing open source out there which fits the bill - I've done a few searches on Google to no avail and can't seem to find anything. Lots of bloated photo galleries out there but nothing looks like it has been developed using more recent technologies. Is anyone aware of anything which might suit what I'm looking for? I'm fully prepared to try and code it myself but I'd be delighted if I didn't have to! Pure laziness you might say, but there's no point reinventing the wheel.

  • Links in rounded boxes? In ALL browsers (yep included IE8)

    I tried maaaany script but every time I get stuck in something bad. My goal is to create rounded boxes for links. You can see an example of I'm talking about here in the read more link (effects not necessary). Very common I know, but I want to make it work in eeeevery browsers at least safari, FF, chrome and most important IE7+ (IE6 not necessary...). The script that took me closest to the solution is Cornerz but I can't fix a very bad issue on IE8. Does anybody knows a way to get rid of this or to achieve my goal?     I got an IFrame, in the onload event i set the height of the frame: function resizeFrame() { $("#iframeID").height($("#iframeID").contents().find("body").outerHeight(true)); } Problem is: When the content of the frame is increasing without a postback (javascript or Async Postback with Ajax), a scrollbar appears. I found a solution for Firefox: document.getElementById("iframeID").contentWindow.addEventListener("overflow", resizeFrame, false); But i can't find a solution for IE 7+8 Anyone got an idea?
