  • Need help debugging a very basic PHP SOAP Hello world app

    I have been breaking my head at this, reading almost every article and tutorial there is on the web, but nothing doing.. i still cannot get my first web service application to work. I would really appreciate it if anyone could debug this code for me and provide me with a good explanation as to what is wrong and why. This will help indeed ! Thanks ! The below code enables me to show and hide row data categorised as "QUO" and "CAL" (eventually there will be other categories.   • ASP.Net JSON Web Service Post Form Data

    I have a ASP.NET web service decorated with System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService() so it can return json formatted data. This much is working for me, but ASP.Net has a requirement that parameters to the web service must be in json in order to get json out. I'm using jquery to run my ajax calls and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to create a nice javascript object from the form elements. I have looked at serialiseArray in the json2 library but it doesn't encode the field names as property name in the object. If you have 2 form elements like this <input type="text" name="namefirst" id="namefirst" value="John"/> <input type="text" name="namelast" id="namelast" value="Doe"/> calling $("form").serialize() will get you the standard query string namefirst=John&namelast=Doe calling JSON.stringify($("form").serializeArray()) will get you the (bulky) json representation [{"name":"namefirst","value":"John"},{"name":"namelast","value":"Doe"}] This will work when passing to the web service but its ugly as you have to have code like this to read it in: Public Class NameValuePair Public name As String Public value As String End Class <WebMethod()> _ Public Function GetQuote(ByVal nvp As NameValuePair()) As String End Function You would also have to wrap that json text inside another object nameed nvp to make the web service happy. Then its more work as all you have is an array of NameValuePair when you want an associative array. I might be kidding myself but i imagined something more elegant when i started this project - more like this Public Class Person Public namefirst As String Public namelast As String End Class which would require the json to look something like this: {"namefirst":"John","namelast":"Doe"} Is there an easy way to do this? Obviously it is simple for a form with two parameters but when you have a very large form concatenating strings gets ugly. Having nested objects would also complicate things The cludge I have settled on for the moment is to use the standard name value pair format stuffed inside a json object. This is compact and fast {"q":"namefirst=John&namelast=Doe"} then have a web method like this on the server that parses the query string into an associate array. <WebMethod()> _ Public Function AjaxForm(ByVal q As String) as string Dim params As NameValueCollection = HttpUtility.ParseQueryString(q) 'do stuff return "Hello" End Sub As far a cludges go this one seems reasonably elegant in terms of amount of code, but my question is: is there a better way? Is there a generally accepted way of passing form data to asp.net web/script services?

    I have a situation where I think I need to daisy chain my xslt transformation (i.e. that output of one xslt transform being input into another). The first transform is rather complex with lots of xsl:choice and ancestor xpaths. My thought is to transform the xml into xml that can then be easily transformed to html.     I have a bomb project where I need to defuse certain phases by finding "pas phrases" that will defuse the bomb. Right now I have been working with phase_2, for which the assembly code is shown below. Phase_2 requires as an input 6 numbers, which I need to find in order to defuse this phase. I analyzed this assembly, and I came up with the C code below, that covers lines from 40101c to 401044. It is basically a for loop that makes sure that elements t[0]==t[3], t[1]==t[4] and t[2]==t[5] that the user inputs, are equal. According to my logic, the user can input any 6 numbers as long as the above condition is satisfied. Say 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 would be a valid "pas phrase". However this solution does not convince me for some reason.     In Ror or Django or web2py you can "describe" a database (as a set of classes that remaps to tables) and the framework (having being provided with a connection string to the desired database) generates the tables, fields, relations and in the case of RoR and web2py it also keeps it up-to-date (eg, removing a class drops the table, adding a property to the class triggers an "alter table add" etc). Is there any Perl module that does the same? Eg, it takes the YAML/XML/JSON description of a database as input and modifies/generates the database schema accordingly?

I have googled and reorganized with my code countless times but have not found a suitable solution. (The code just doesn't "feel right".) Here's how I'm going about it right now.   • Is JSON.stringify() reliable for serializing JSON objects?

    I need to send full objects from Javascript to PHP. It seemed pretty obvious to do JSON.stringify() and then json_decode() on the PHP end, but will this allow for strings with ":" and ","? Do I need to run an escape() function on big user input strings that may cause an issue? What would that escape function be? I don't think escape works for my purposes. Are there any downsides to JSON.stringify() I need to know about? Thanks
