  • flickr api advice

    - by sico87
    Hi There, I am working with the API from flickr trying to get my photosets into my site, my problem is I am wanting to only show the primary image for each set but current it is showing all the images from each of my sets. Can anyone see where I am going wrong? <?php $f = new phpFlickr(FLICKR_API_KEY); $f->enablecache("fs", $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']. '/../system/cache'); $result = $f->people_findByusername(FLICKR_USERNAME); $user = $result['id']; $photosets = $f->photosets_getList($user); $count = 1; foreach ($photosets['photoset'] as $ph_set): ?> <li> <h2>Images</h2> <h2>Videos</h2> <?php $photoset_id = $ph_set['id']; $photos = $f->photosets_getPhotos($photoset_id); foreach ($photos['photoset']['photo'] as $photo): ?> <a rel="lightbox[album<?=$count;?>]" href="<?= $f->buildPhotoURL($photo, 'medium') ?>" title="<?= $photo['title'] ?>"> <img src="<?= $f->buildPhotoURL($photo, 'rectangle') ?>" alt="<?= $photo['title'] ?>" width="210" height="160" title="<?= $photo['title'] ?>" /> <h3><?=$ph_set['title']?></h3> <p><?=$ph_set['description'];?></p> </a> <?php endforeach; ?> </li> <?php $count++; ?> <?php endforeach; ?>

  • UIWebView in custom UITableViewCell

    - by mlecho
    i am not sure if this is a good route to go,...i have some data i receive from the web which in turn, populates a table view. The problem is, the text is html (p tags, etc). My first thought was to create a uiwebview in the cell, and populate with loadHTMLString. Fact is , it KINDA works. But, i then the cell no longer was the recipient of touches. SO, before we get too deep in code, is there a better way to populate the cells, than using a UIWebView. It feels like a hack, and i fear even if it works, apple would turn it away. //from my custom UITableViewCell class: - (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame reuseIdentifier:(NSString *)reuseIdentifier { if (self = [super initWithFrame:frame reuseIdentifier:reuseIdentifier]) { [self setFrame:frame]; webcell = [[UIWebView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,frame.size.width-20,frame.size.height)]; [self.contentView addSubview:webcell]; //bloack the webview from touches UIView *cover = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:webcell.frame]; [self.contentView addSubview:cover]; [cover release]; } return self; } -(void)setLabelData:(FeedItem *)feedItem { link = feedItem.link; NSMutableString *htmlstring = [NSMutableString string]; [htmlstring appendString:@"<html><head><link rel='stylesheet' href='style.css'/></head><body>"]; [htmlstring appendFormat:@"<p>%@</p>",feedItem.title]; [htmlstring appendFormat:@"<p>%@</p>",feedItem.description]; [htmlstring appendString:@"</body></html>"]; [webcell loadHTMLString:htmlstring baseURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:[[NSBundle mainBundle]bundlePath]]]; } thanks

  • IE8 window.opener problems

    - by fire
    Having problems with IE8... I have a button that onclick fires the showImageBrowser() function. function showImageBrowser(params) { var open = window.open('http://localhost/admin/browse?'+params,'newwin','toolbar=0,location=0,directories=0,status=1,menubar=0,scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=950,height=500'); if (!open) { alert('Could not open the image browser, please disable your popup blocker.'); } } Now in the image browser when you click on an image it calls this function: function selectFile(url, el) { window.opener.replaceImage('Test_Image', url); window.close(); } Which is calling the replaceImage() function in the parent window, as expeted. This is the code: function replaceImage(el, url) { $('#'+el).html('<a href="'+url+'" target="_blank" class="image">'+basename(url)+'</a>'); $("input[name='"+el+"']").val(url); } Now if you click on the original showImageBrowser() button for the second time, IE will bring up the window but this time it freezes for a few seconds and then you get the alert "Could not open the image browser, please disable your popup blocker." This works fine in Firefox (obviously) but not in IE. I haven't even tried it in IE7/6 because if it doesn't work in 8 then I know I'm going to have problems. Any advice?

  • jQuery: loading reCaptcha into a div via ajax

    - by abdullah kahraman
    Hello, I want to create a form that has a div with id "captcha". When the user enters a wrong password, following code is generated in "login.php" $myCaptcha=recaptcha_get_html($publickey, $error); $xml="<captcha><![CDATA[".$myCaptcha ."]]></captcha>"; echo $xml; recaptcha_get_html($publickey, $error); generates this: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/challenge?k=xxxx"></script> <noscript> <iframe src="http://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/noscript?k=xxxx" height="300" width="500" frameborder="0"></iframe><br/> <textarea name="recaptcha_challenge_field" rows="3" cols="40"></textarea> <input type="hidden" name="recaptcha_response_field" value="manual_challenge"/> </noscript> I want to get this code with $.post() and insert it into div "captcha". Doing something like this: $.post("login.php", {requestCaptcha:"yes"}, function(returned){ $("#captcha").html($(returned).text(),"xml"); }); In IE, it does nothing. In Chrome, it clears up whole page and there is only the called reCaptcha script working like a charm. Any ideas?

  • Inline image and caption in article - conform caption's width to image's width

    - by Micah
    Here's my code: <div class="image"> <img src="image.jpg" alt="Image description" /> <p class="caption">This is the image caption</p> </div> Here's my CSS: .image { position: relative; float: right; margin: 8px 0 10px 10px; } .caption { font-weight: bold; color: #444666; } As is above, the caption will conform to the width of div.image. My problem is often the img varies in size, from 100px width to 250px width. I'd like to make the caption width conform to the corresponding width of the image, no matter the size. While I'd love for this to be more semantic as well, I'm not sure how easy it would be to switch p.caption with img. Of course, I'd prefer that method but am taking this a step at a time. Is there some jquery code that I can use to detect the width of the image and add that width as an inline style to the caption tag? Is there a better way to do this? I'm open to suggestions.

  • iOS iPad UIActionSheet Issue

    - by hart1994
    I am currently developing an application which needs an option to 'share' using multiple services; such as email, twitter. To to this, I have a UIBarButtonItem coded in and when touched, it triggers this: UIActionSheet *sheet = [[UIActionSheet alloc] initWithTitle:@"" delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:nil destructiveButtonTitle:nil otherButtonTitles:nil]; [sheet addButtonWithTitle:@"Email"]; [sheet addButtonWithTitle:@"Tweet"]; [sheet addButtonWithTitle:@"Cancel"]; sheet.cancelButtonIndex = sheet.numberOfButtons-1; [sheet showFromRect:self.view.bounds inView:self.view animated:YES]; [sheet release]; In conjunction with this to detect which button is selected: clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex { if (buttonIndex == actionSheet.cancelButtonIndex) { return; } switch (buttonIndex) { case 0: { [self emailThis]; break; } case 1: { [self tweetThis]; break; } } This works a treat on the iPhone. But unfortunately it displays incorrectly on the iPad. It looks like it is trying to display the UIPopoverController, but it is positioned center of the navbar with practically no height. I have looked into using the UIPopoverController, but I cannot seem to find out how to use it with buttons. Is there anyway I can adapt the code above to properly display the buttons, as it's trying to already. Many thanks, Ryan PS: I'm new to objective-c/iOS coding, so please be specific. Thank you :)

  • jsf submit button not wrking

  • ASP.NET MVC - Data Annotations - Why add a default RequiredAttribute?

    - by redsquare
    Can anyone explain why it is assumed that a non nullable type property should always have a RequiredAttribue? I am trying to write a label helper that will auto append * or change the css class so that I can indicate to the user that the field is required. However when querying the metadata the non nullable properties end up with a required attribute. MVC Source Code: protected override IEnumerable<ModelValidator> GetValidators( ModelMetadata metadata, ControllerContext context, IEnumerable<Attribute> attributes) { _adaptersLock.EnterReadLock(); try { List<ModelValidator> results = new List<ModelValidator>(); if (metadata.IsRequired && !attributes.Any(a => a is RequiredAttribute)) { //******* Why Do this? attributes = attributes.Concat(new[] { new RequiredAttribute() }); } foreach (ValidationAttribute attribute in attributes.OfType<ValidationAttribute>()) { DataAnnotationsModelValidationFactory factory; if (!_adapters.TryGetValue(attribute.GetType(), out factory)) factory = _defaultFactory; results.Add(factory(metadata, context, attribute)); } return results; } finally { _adaptersLock.ExitReadLock(); } }

  • Getting browser to make an AJAX call ASAP, while page is still loading

    - by Chris
    I'm looking for tips on how to get the browser to kick off an AJAX call as soon as possible into processing a web page, ideally before the page is fully downloaded. Here's my approximate motivation: I have a web page that takes, say, 5 seconds to load. It calls a web service that takes, say, 10 seconds to load. If loading the page and calling the web service happened sequentially, the user would have to wait 15 seconds to see all the information. However, if I can get the web service call started before the 5 second page load is complete, then at least some of the work can happened in parallel. Ideally I'd like as much of the work to happen in parallel as possible. My initial theory was that I should place the AJAX-calling javascript as high up as possible in the web page HTML source (being mindful of putting it after the jquery.js include, because I'm making the call using jquery ajax). I'm also being mindful not to wrap the AJAX call in a jquery ready event handler. (I mention this because ready events are popular in a lot of jquery example code.) However, the AJAX call still doesn't seem to get kicked off as early as I'm hoping (at least as judged by the Google Chrome "Timeline" feature), so I'm wondering what other considerations apply. One thing that might potentially be detrimental is that the AJAX call is back to the same web server that's serving the original web page, so I might be in danger of hitting a browser limit on the # of HTTP connections back to that one machine? (The HTML page loads a number of images, css files, etc..)

  • IE9 selectAllChildren on an out-of-view element

    - by MrSlayer
    I am trying to replicate a service that is provided by Tynt.com that appends some text to a user's selection when copying. I understand that users don't particularly like this, but it is a client's request to append the URL and copyright notice whenever a user copies something from their website. In current browsers, I am able to do this by creating a DOM element, adding the selected text, appending the copyright text and then selecting the new node: var newSelection = document.createElement( 'div' ); newSelection.style.cssText = "height: 1px; width: 1px; overflow: hidden;"; if( window.getSelection ) { var selection = window.getSelection( ); if( selection.getRangeAt ) { var range = selection.getRangeAt( 0 ); newSelection.appendChild( range.cloneContents( ) ); appendCopyright( ); document.body.appendChild( newSelection ); selection.selectAllChildren( newSelection ); // ... remove element, return selection } } In IE9, this errors out on the selection.selectAllChildren( newSelection ) statement and I was able to figure out that this is because newSelection was effectively "hidden" from the viewport due to the styles applied in the second line above. Commenting that out works, but obviously the new node is shown to the end user. It appears that this was resolved in later versions of IE, but I am having trouble coming up with a workaround that is sufficient for IE9, a browser that I need to support. I've tried a variety of alternatives, like setting visibility: hidden;, positioning it off-screen, and trying some alternative selection functions, but they each present different problems. The error thrown by IE is: SCRIPT16389: Unspecified error.

  • Problems getting text from an openWysiwyg enabled TextBox

    - by stephenbayer
    I have a multiline text box on a form. I dropped in the js file for openWYSIWYG and attached it to the textbox. When I submit the form, the text box has no value. I'm having problems finding documentation on this library. Has anyone else used this who would be able to direct me as to where I can troubleshoot this issue. The HTML is here: <table> <tr><td>Comment</td> <td><asp:TextBox ID="txtComment" Height="150px" TextMode="MultiLine" runat="server" /> </td> </tr> <tr><td colspan="2"><asp:Button ID="btnSubmit" runat="server" OnClick="btnSumbit_Click" Text="Submit" /> </table> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> WYSIWYG.attach('<%= txtComment.ClientID %>', full); </script> The codebehind for the method is: public void btnSumbit_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { //txtComment.Text is "" The text is not available }

  • Is there a more useful explanation for UITableViewStylePlain?

    - by mystify
    From the docs: In the plain style, section headers and footers float above the content if the part of a complete section is visible. A table view can have an index that appears as a bar on the right hand side of the table (for example, "a" through "z"). You can touch a particular label to jump to the target section. I find that very hard to grasp. First, this one: if the part of a complete section is visible What do they mean by this? This is paradox. Which one is it? A) Table must be exactly the height of that section. If I have 5 Rows, and each row is 50px high, I must make it 5*50 high. The full section must be visible on the screen. Otherwise, if I have 100 rows but my table view is only 400 high, this will not apply. Nothing will float above my content. Sounds wrong. B) It doesn't matter how high my table view actually is. Header and Footer is floating above the content and I can scroll the section. Makes more sense. But is completely against this nonsense making sentence: 'if the part of a complete section is visible' Can anyone explain it better than they did?

  • jquery access sibling TD in table

  • Help matching fields between two classes

    - by Michael
    I'm not too experienced with Java yet, and I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction because right now I feel like I'm just beating my head against a wall... The first class is called MeasuredParams, and it's got 40+ numeric fields (height, weight, waistSize, wristSize - some int, but mostly double). The second class is a statistical classifier called Classifier. It's been trained on a subset of the MeasuredParams fields. The names of the fields that the Classifier has been trained on is stored, in order, in an array called reqdFields. What I need to do is load a new array, toClassify, with the values stored in the fields from MeasuredParams that match the field list (including order) found in reqdFields. I can make any changes necessary to the MeasuredParams class, but I'm stuck with Classifier as it is. My brute-force approach was to get rid of the fields in MeasuredParams and use an arrayList instead, and store the field names in an Enum object to act as an index pointer. Then loop through the reqdFields list, one element at a time, and find the matching name in the Enum object to find the correct position in the arrayList. Load the value stored at that positon into toClassify, and then continue on to the next element in reqdFields. I'm not sure how exactly I would search through the Enum object - it would be a lot easier if the field names were stored in a second arrayList. But then the index positions between the two would have to stay matched, and I'm back to using an Enum. I think. I've been running around in circles all afternoon, and I keep thinking there must be an easier way of doing it. I'm just stuck right now and can't see past what I've started. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much! Michael

  • Binding WPF ComboBox in XAML - Why is it Empty?

    - by mdiehl13
    I am trying to learn how to bind my simple database (.sdf) to a combobox. I created a dataset with my tables in it. I then dragged a table from the DataSource onto my control. There are no build warnings/errors, and when it runs, the ComboBox is empty. <UserControl x:Class="OurFamilyFinances.TabItems.TransactionTab" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="414" d:DesignWidth="578" xmlns:my="clr-namespace:OurFamilyFinances" Loaded="UserControl_Loaded_1"> <UserControl.Resources> <my:FinancesDataDataSet x:Key="financesDataDataSet" /> <CollectionViewSource x:Key="accountViewSource" Source="{Binding Path=Account, Source={StaticResource financesDataDataSet}}" /> </UserControl.Resources> <Grid> <ComboBox DisplayMemberPath="Name" Height="23" HorizontalAlignment="Left" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource accountViewSource}}" Margin="3,141,0,0" Name="accountComboBox" SelectedValuePath="ID" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="120"> <ComboBox.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <VirtualizingStackPanel /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </ComboBox.ItemsPanel> </ComboBox> </Grid> The paths that is shows are correct, the selectedPath is "ID" and the displaypath is "Name". If I do this in Linq to Sql, the combo box does populate: this.accountComboBox.ItemsSource = from o in db.Account select new { o.ID, o.Name }; But I would like to learn how to do this in XAML. I have dragged datagrids from the DataSource as well, but they are not populated either. Any idea?

  • vHost RewriteRule is creating a 500 Error

    - by Andrew Ellis
    Hello, Below you will find my current vHost entry that I am using for a site that I currently have under development. This vHost entry works fine when I have it on my local machine, but when I push my code to my staging server that is running this same vHost record I receive a 500 Internal Server error. The machine I'm running this vHost on is running Apache 2.2.9 (Debian). <VirtualHost 206.217.196.61:80> SuExecUserGroup 13labs 13labs ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName admin.13labs.net ServerAlias admin.13labs.net DirectoryIndex index.php DocumentRoot /var/www/13labs.net/html/admin/ ErrorLog /var/www/13labs.net/logs/error.log # Hide .svn Directories <DirectoryMatch "\.svn"> Order deny,allow deny from all </DirectoryMatch> # FastCGI Alias /fcgi-bin/ /var/www/13labs.net/fcgi-bin/ AddHandler php-fastcgi .php AddType application/x-httpd-php .php Action php-fastcgi /fcgi-bin/admin-php.fcgi <Directory /var/www/13labs.net/fcgi-bin/> SetHandler fcgid-script AllowOverride None Options -Indexes +ExecCGI -FollowSymlinks -SymLinksIfOwnerMatch Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> <Directory /var/www/13labs.net/html/admin/> AllowOverride None Options -Indexes -FollowSymlinks -SymLinksIfOwnerMatch FileETag All </Directory> # Rewrite Logic RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !\.(gif|jpe?g|png|js|css|swf|php|ico|txt|pdf)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l RewriteRule ^/(.+)$ /index.php/$1 [PT,QSA,L] Thanks for any help that you can provide. • Selecting a Java framework for large application w/ only ONE user

    - by Bijan
    I am building a large application that will be hosted on an AWS server. I'm trying to select a web framework for assisting me with code organization, template design, and generally presentation aspects. Here are some points of consideration: Require security/login/user authentication. I may add the ability in the future to allow more than just an administrator to access the web app, but it is not a public facing website. AJAX support would be helpful. There are a couple widgets that I don't want to recreate. One is a tree object, where the user can expand/contract items in the list, can create new branches, add/edit objects. This would be better off in some dynamic view rather than all done in ugly html. Generally, this is just to provide the application with a face for control, management, and monitoring. Having an easier time adding buttons, CSS, AJAX widgets are great additions though, but not the primary purpose. I'm considering: Wicket Spring Seam GWT Stripe and the list goes on, as I'm sure you all know. I originally planned on using GWT, but then started to feel that GWT didn't cover my primary needs. I could be wrong about this, but there seems to be a lot of support for GWT AND Wicket/Spring. All of this 'getting lost in java frameworks' got me thinking outside the java realm for a framework that would suit my needs that was a clear option, like: JRuby/Rails Jython/Django Groovy/Grails Guice (just throwing this in there... I don't clearly understand the main purposes of all these frameworks. It doesn't seem like DInjection is something I need for a single purpose application) Thanks as always. This community makes Googling for esoteric programming information an order of magnitude better.

  • Getting value from href using jQuery

    - by bateman_ap
    Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with a jQuery problem I am having. I am using the tooltips from the Jquery Tools library to create a popup window when mousing over an hrefed image, this I want to use to cusomise the call to change the content in the DIV. The links I am using are in the form: <a href="/venue/1313.htm" class="quickView"><img src="/images/site/quickView83.png" alt="Quick View" width="83" height="20" /></a> The code I am using to trigger the tip is: $(".quickView").live('mouseover', function() { if (!$(this).data('init')) { $(this).data('init', true); ajax_quickView(); $(this).tooltip ({ /* tooltip configuration goes here */ tip: "#quickViewWindow", position: "right", offset: [0, -300], effect: 'slide' }); $(this).trigger('mouseover'); } }); I have tried the following function to grab the ID (in the example above, 1313) from the link: function ajax_quickView(){ var pageNum = $("a.quickView").attr("href").match(/venue/([0-9]+)/).htm[1]; $("#quickViewWindow").load("/quick-view/", function(){}) } However I think this is where it falls down, I think my regex is prob to blame... Once I get the var pageNum I presume I can just pass it into the .load as: $("#quickViewWindow").load("/quick-view/", {id : pageNum }, function(){}) Many thanks

  • Why is 1px sometimes 2px when specified in Android XML?

    - by Daniel Lew
    I've got a desire for a one-pixel divider line, just for looks. I thought I could accomplish this using a View of height 1px, with a defined background. However, I'm getting some very odd behavior on different devices - sometimes the 1px ends up as 2px. Take this sample layout for example: <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> <View android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="1px" android:background="@android:color/white" android:layout_marginBottom="4dp" /> </LinearLayout> When run on my G1, this comes out fine. But on the Nexus One, it alternates between 1px lines and 2px lines. Does anyone know where this is going awry? Why does Android sometimes make 1px into 2px?

  • Soft Paint Bucket Fill: Colour Equality

    - by Bart van Heukelom
    I'm making a small app where children can fill preset illustrations with colours. I've succesfully implemented an MS-paint style paint bucket using the flood fill argorithm. However, near the edges of image elements pixels are left unfilled, because the lines are anti-aliased. This is because the current condition on whether to fill is colourAtCurrentPixel == colourToReplace (the colours are RGB uints) I'd like to add a smoothing/treshold option like in Photoshop and other sophisticated tools, but what's the algorithm to determine the equality/distance between two colours? if (match(pixel(x,y), colourToReplace) setpixel(x,y,colourToReplaceWith) How to fill in match()? Here's my current full code: var b:BitmapData = settings.background; b.lock(); var from:uint = b.getPixel(x,y); var q:Array = []; var xx:int; var yy:int; var w:int = b.width; var h:int = b.height; q.push(y*w + x); while (q.length != 0) { var xy:int = q.shift(); xx = xy % w; yy = (xy - xx) / w; if (b.getPixel(xx,yy) == from) { b.setPixel(xx,yy,to); if (xx != 0) q.push(xy-1); if (xx != w-1) q.push(xy+1); if (yy != 0) q.push(xy-w); if (yy != h-1) q.push(xy+w); } } b.unlock(null);

  • Using Haml & Sass with Eclipse

    - by Sam Hasler
    Are there any plugins for eclipse that add syntax highlighting and other niceties for editing Haml and Sass? Google searches only seem to point to a dead project on lucky-dip.net. Note: it's Sass I'm most interested in. A solution for using just Sass (or something similar to it like less) in Eclipse would suit my needs. Also, I'm developing for Google App Engine (Java), using the App Engine plugin for Eclipse. So switching to another IDE isn't an option. Update: So I've got syntax highlighting now using Pascal's answer and I've installed Ruby and Compass to compile sass into css. However I'm aware that the syntax of sass will be changing with 2.4 so I'd still like to get the Haml and Sass Editors that come with Aptana to work. When I tried to use them they threw an exception and wouldn't display the files. I'd be interested to know if that's because I misconfigured Aptana or is an actual bug in the editors. I'd also be very interested in any way of compiling Sass that integrated with Ecplise so that I didn't have to run something separate from it. (or a way of putting Sass/Compass in the Ecplise build process.)
