    I can't figure out why this statement is not working SELECT myChurches.id AS id, myChurches.church_name AS church_name FROM myChurches INNER JOIN church_staff ON church_staff.church_id=myChurches.id WHERE church_staff.mem_id='$logOptions_id' ORDER BY myChurches.church_name ASC Basically I need to find the person's that are staff members of a church from one table and want to get the 'name' of that church FROM the 'myChurches' table. Of course there's an error. Look at the double single quotes in there. What the heck could be causing that? I tried using adDBDate and adDBTime as data types for the date parameter, and they give the same results. When I make the parameters adParamInputOutput, then I get this: declare @p1 int set @p1=default declare @p2 datetime set @p2=default exec ErrorAlertCollect @ErrorAlertID=@p1 output,@CreateTime=@p2 output select @p1, @p2 Running that as a separate batch yields: Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 2 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'default'. Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 4 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'default'. What the heck? SQL Server doesn't support this kind of syntax. You can only use the DEFAULT keyword in the actual SP execution statement. I should note that removing the extra single quotes from the above statement makes the SP run fine. ... Oh my. I just figured it out. I guess it's worth posting anyway.

For eg. deviceId, pollDate, status 1, 2010-95-06 10:53:28, 1 3, 2010-95-06 10:26:28, 1 I tried to run the following query but the distinct only selects the first records, not the latest SELECT DISTINCT deviceId, pollDate, status FROM logs GROUP By deviceId ORDER BY pollDate DESC So, could you please help me to extract the latest entries from the table?     I know I can use System.DirectoryServices to roll my own GAL Name/email selector control and I've seen plenty of people explaining the basics of how to do that, but surly someone knows of one that I can download from somewhere. It just seems like a waste to have to remake it when so many people need it. Something remotely similar to Outlooks GAL Select Names dialog. It could be simpler.

    I do a select from table [V_RPT_BelegungKostenstelleDetail] WHERE SO_UID = '7C7035C8-56DD-4A44-93CC-F16FD66280A3' AND GB_UID = '4FF1B0EE-A5DD-4699-94B7-760922666CE2' AND GS_UID = '1188759A-54E1-4323-8BF2-85E71B3C796E' AND RM_UID = '088C3559-6E6E-468A-9554-6740840FCBA1' AND NA_UID= '96A2A8DB-8C83-4C60-9060-F0F55719AF5C' GROUP BY KST_UID How can I get SO_UID? It is the same everywhere, but I get an error when I try to get SO_UID with the return values... SO_UID is not necessarely given like '7C7035C8-56DD-4A44-93CC-F16FD66280A3' here, so I can't just add it manually as string.

  • Cryastl Reports is not recognizing that a new parameter has been added to the report's stored proc

    i have added another input parameter to a stored proc used by a crystal report. i've had our dba recompile the stp to be sure that the new parameter is cached and "really there". i cannot get my crystal report to recognize the new parameter -- i've tried verifying database and using the Set Datasource Location/Update to re-select the stp. i'm using cr11 against a 2005 sql server db. any other suggestions?

I'm retrieving a list of manufacturers from the database, and for each one, creating a link - using a different field in the Database. So currently, I leave the connection open, then do a new SELECT by each letter, WHERE the Name LIKE that letter. It's very slow, though. What's a better way to do this? TIA
