  • Jquery date in a adropdown with interval

    I am trying to use Jquery to display dates in a dropdown with interval of half month... so the first value would be the coming month's 1st, then second will be the coming month's 15th and third value would be next to next month's first and so on... If today date is less than 15th then the first value would be the 15th of current month. What will be the best or a cleaner way to do this... (want to display in the dropdown) Thanks

  • Using NHibernate to insert/update using a SQL server-side DEFAULT value

    Several of our database tables contain LastModifiedDate columns. We would like these to stay synchronized based on a single time-source. Our best time-source, in this case, is the SQL Server itself since there is only one database server but multiple application servers which could potentially be off sync. I would like to be able to use NHibernate, but have it use either GETUTCDATE() or DEFAULT for the column value when updating or inserting rows on these tables. Thoughts?

    I want to build a social network, with some of the users being able to put up some stuff up for sale. So basically, a social network + multiple sellers e-commerce. What is the best technology solution for that? I was thinking of going Rails route, using CommunityEngine and ActiveMerchant. Another option is going PHP and using something like X-Cart, which already has multiple sellers interface. Any recommendations? Thanks!

  • Windows Service WebBrowser DocumentCompleted Bug

    I've been building a Windows Service to create a WebBrowser object to navigate, login, and download a site's HTML. However, I recently discovered this bug which prevents the DocumentCompleted event from firing if the WebBrowser is not visible: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259935 I've got to assume this is because the Windows Service doesn't allow for a GUI and therefore this bug is tripped. What is the best workaround for this? Thanks for your help.

    Hey guys, My boss has some interesting requirements for his next project and insists that we try to implement some Crystal Reports on our Access database (on his computer) into a FrontPage document (for ease of maintenance). After that, he wants an MP3 to be embedded using a RealPlayer widget because that's the only one that he likes. I'm not really sure how to do any of this. What's the best way to go about this?     Hi I have a large index, on which Highlighter.Net works fine, but FastVectorHighlighter returns null as a Best Fragment on Some documents. the searcher works fine. It is just the highlighter. The field has been indexed in the same manner for all documents, so I fail to understand Why it highlights some documents but not all. Using Lucene.Net 2.9.2, built from trunk rev942061

    Hi, we are starting a new smart client project, which is .net winform as client, connecting web service at application server in win 2003. currently, all developers are using win xp pro, to enalbe debugging at both client and server side, we try to get both client and web service installed on XP pc, but the web server require service account to be used for authentication to Active Directory which need IIS6, so it won't work on XP(xp only support IIS5). What is best way to work around this?

  • Identifying and removing null characters in UNIX

    I have a text file containing unwanted null characters. When I try to view it in I see ^@ symbols, interleaved in normal text. How can I: a) Identify which lines in the file contains null characters? I have tried grepping for \0 and \x0, but this did not work. b) Remove the null characters? Running strings on the file cleaned it up, but I'm just wondering if this is the best way? Thanks

To the best of my knowledge this isn't possible using the WP_Query object, and would require a custom $wpdb query, which I can easily write. However, I then don't know how to setup the loop to run off this object. Can anyone help?

  • C# DateTime Class and Datetime in database

    Hello . I have the following problem. I have an object with some DateTime properties , and a Table in database that I store all that objects , in Sql server I want to store the DateTime properties in some columns of DateTime Datatype, but the format of datetime in sql server is different from the DateTime class in c# and I got an sql exception saying "DateTime cannot be parsed". I know how to solve this by making the format yyyy-MM-dd but is this the proper and best solution to do this?

  • Intercepting touch events on activity and button on Android

    I have an Android activity with an ImageButton. I would like to execute some logic when the button is clicked and show a different image for the pressed state, but also receive the touch event on the activity. By default only the button receives the touch event. If I set the clickable attribute of the button to false then only the activity receives the touch event. What's the best way to receive the touch event in both the activity and the button?

    I'd like to do much the same thing as the Struts2 sitemesh servlet-filter does, i.e. wrap the output of an action with some chosen content. The "problem" with the sitemesh approach is that it AFIK it does not have any relationship to the ActionInvocation, and I would like to be able to query information from the ActionInvocation when determining which content to add. I have looked through the ServletDispatcherResult, and I'm not entirly sure what's the best way to achieve this. Any suggestions ?

I've read countless theory and tutorials on ANTLR and JavaCC, but I can't figure out how to actually make it do something useful. I learn best by "taking something apart and putting it back together again", so, are there any working examples of simple languages implemented with the help of tools such as ANTLR, or similar?
