I need to connect to a local table in Access and find a an entry in the name field then find the id of that name. I know how to connect to access and create the connection there, but actually manipulating the table I am lost. I can use this to connect to access, but how would I access the table and find the field I am looking for? The data structure of the table I want to connect to is: name text, address text, id autonumber. My data: category_id | category_name 1 bikes 2 cars 3 books 4 computers Array: $category=array(); $query = "SELECT * FROM categories ORDER BY name ASC"; $result = $db->query($query); $category=array('category_id'=>$category_id, 'category_name'=>$category_name); while ($row = $result->fetch_array()){ $category_id=$row['category_id']; $category_name=$row['name']; } I want to create an array so that I can echo the data in a radio list like... <input type='radio' value='<?PHP echo $category['category_id']; ?>' name='category[]'><?PHP echo $category['category_name']; ?> o bikes o cars o books o computers The problem is that the array only consists of one pair (1, bikes) and not all the data. I want to get a subject, and get its related past questions of a particular year. I was thinking of fetching a subject and getting its related past question. Currently am implementing my code such that I rather get the past question whose subject and year correspond to any specified subject like this_subject=Subject.objects.get(name=the_subject) thepastQ=Pastquestion.objects.get(year=2000,subject=this_subject) I was thinking there is a better way to do this. Or is this already a better way? Please Do tell ?

Embedded YouTube video slows down page load

Hi, total newbie here - trying to figure out how to make a page load faster with 1 embedded YouTube video on it - a very modest page takes an extra 5 seconds to completely load with the YouTube player showing up. I'd either like the page to load first or to only load the video when user clicks on it - don't know how to do that.. Hi, In VS2003, I am trying to find out the particular page where the request is coming from. I want to identify the exact aspx page name. Is there a way to only get the page name or some how strip the page name? Currently I am using the following instruction... string referencepage = HttpContext.Current.Request.UrlReferrer.ToString(); and I get the following result... "http://localhost/MyPage123.aspx?myval1=3333&myval2=4444; I want to get the result back with out any query string parameters and be able to identify the page MyPage123.aspx accurately... Assume you have a list item, <li id="foo"> which you want to fade from one color to another when moused over, and that you are using jQuery. This is fairly easy: $('li#foo').bind('mouseenter' , function(e) { $(this).animate({backgroundColor: '#F00'} , 300); }); However, what if you wanted to get the resulting color or other style rules from a class defined in CSS without also declaring them in JavaScript? It seems there's no way to learn style information from CSS rules without having an example of the rule already in the document, which would require you to animate the <li> to the target appearance, then in the animation-finished callback, set the class which leads to redundant style declarations and can foul up your CSS at "runtime". Sorry if this question's unclear: It doesn't occur in the context of any specific project, I'm just curious how you'd go about this. Also, I know CSS3 hypothetically includes support for such transitions but using CSS for dynamic behavior like this seems such an ugly hack.

b'h i will be programmatically importing a text file into a table. i have saved the import steps. i will use this: DoCmd.TransferText(TransferType, SpecificationName, TableName, FileName, HasFieldNames, HTMLTableName, CodePage) to do the import. this is what SpecificationName means: Specification Name The specification name for the set of options that determines how a text file is imported, exported, or linked. For a fixed-width text file, you must either specify a specification name or use a schema.ini file, which should be stored in the same directory as the imported, linked, or exported text file. i do need a specific specification; however i do not know how to specify one. when i manually imported a table, i did save the specifications for my import, however i do not know how to call this in the TransferText. does anyone know how to specify SpecificationName ?

I tried to solve this by using a unique id and name for the attributes: <a href="#bottom" id="4656" name="4656"> But this hasn't worked. Suggestions? P.S. Don't use the URL bar, yes that works. Visit the page and click on a link in a post that says "Bottom of the page". This is where it isn't working.

Problems deleting cookies, won't unset (PHP).

I've tried searching the php manual and internet on how to delete cookies and I've tried it the exact same way they all say: setcookie("name", '', 1); or setcookie("name", '', time()-3600); But when I check the cookies in the cookies dialog in Firefox, it's still there with the same value. I set this cookie using the following line: setcookie("name", $value, time() + 259200, $path); I found this question on stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2497501/cookie-wont-unset, but none of the answers solved the problem. I also tried putting all paramaters in, like the author said, but it had no effect. Does anyone see the problem?

How to find the real problem line in my code with Application Verifier ?

I am now trying to use this Application Verifier debugging tool, but i am stuck, first of all: it breaks the program at a line that is simple variable set line (s = 1; for example) Secondly, now when i run this program under debugger, my program seems to have changed its behaviour: i am drawing image, and now one of the colors has changed o_O, all those parts of the image that i dont draw on, has changed the color to #CDCDCD when it should be #000000, and i already set the default color to zero, still it becomes to #CDCDCD. How do i make any sense to this? Here is the output AV gave me: VERIFIER STOP 00000002: pid 0x8C0: Access violation exception. 14873000 : Invalid address causing the exception 004E422C : Code address executing the invalid access 0012EB08 : Exception record 0012EB24 : Context record AVRF: Noncontinuable verifier stop 00000002 encountered. I want to find the word AVG (case insensitive) which is not surrounded by <font color='black'> </font>. It can be part the word or single whole word. In the case of part of the text, the whole word containing the word AVG should not surrounded by that html tag How can I do it with Java?

Why isn't this message subject encoded properly? (php mail)

I use this code to send an email: $headers="MIME-Version: 1.0"."\n"; $headers.="Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8"."\n"; $headers.="From: $name <$email>"."\n"; mail($to, '=?UTF-8?B?'.base64_encode($subject).'?=', $text, $headers, '[email protected]'); If I use special characters Å Ä Ö from the swedish alphabet, they are not encoded properly, so they turn up like Ã¶ for ö. However, this doesn't happen if I change the $to variable to a gmail account email, then they are shown correctly. Anybody got any idea? Thanks UPDATE: When I echo $name, the name is displayed correctly, in utf8, with all special chars nicely shown.

I am using the new JQuery 1.7 on feature to say "hey for all labels in the CancelSurvey id element call this notify function when they are clicked." function notify(event) { console.log(event.data.name); } $('#CancelSurvey').on('click', 'label', { name: $(this).attr("id") }, notify); I want to pass the id of the label as parameter "name". When I try to alert this it is undefined (they are defined in the html created). I believe that using the $(this) is not referencing the label selector in this case. It actually seems to be referencing the document itself. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I have a classifieds website, and on the page where ads are showed, I am creating a "Send a tip to a friend" form... So anybody who wants can send a tip of the ad to some friends email-adress. we are using free-ipaserver(192.168.0.200) on fedora, clients are windows xp. we are successfully added two xp clients(m01(192.168.0.60, m02(192.168.0.61) on test environment. and also our server name is ipaserver & domain name is xyz.com , samba has been configured working fine. problem is whenever we access from one xp machine another xp machine we are getting this error, There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request, please give the solutions.
