  • find: missing argument to -exec in bash script

    The following works fine when I type it exactly in the command line: find /<some_path>/{epson,epson_laser,epson_inkjet} -iname "*.ppd" -exec grep "\*ModelName\:" {} \; | sed 's/.*\"\(.*\)\"/\1/' However, when I try to call the following from a bash script I get find: missing argument to -exec'. I have also tried the following (in many variants): eval find "$1" -iname "*.ppd" -exec 'bash -c grep "\*ModelName\:" "$1" | sed "s/.*\"\(.*\)\"/\1/" \; as was mentioned in find-exec-echo-missing-argument-to-exec.

I know the article says Depending on the compiler and settings but I just want to clear this.

    In an interpreted language like PHP it is possible in theory to set up some sort of callback function that would be run indiscriminately after every line of code. I am wondering if such a thing exists in PHP or if such a thing could be accomplished in any way? Such a feature could be useful for diagnostics or performance tests. Does anyone know of such a mechanism in PHP?

  • Need to display my code in stack trace. I see only System... lines.

    Sometimes when I get an Exception while debugging in Visual Studio, all the code lines in the stack trace belong to the System.. name space. It doesn't display my line of code which was responsible for the exception. Is there a way to be make the stack trace show more lines or to ignore stack trace from the system namespace? Something like Just-My-Code for stack trace?

As there are multiple text styles within the each line of text, and I don't need any interactivity except scrolling, it seems it would be easier to build with HTML and display it in a UIWebView. Is there a css library which matches this need?

    I'm working with big blobs of JSON. These blobs change slightly over time and a revision history is kept. I'd really like to be able to do a visual diff on them, but my problem is they're being stored without any formatting at all - everything is on one line, so that makes it a little hard to see what changed.     Hello, I have a php-file which includes another html-file: <? virtual("../top.html");?> The problem is that any code before this include compiles and runs well, after - nothing. There aren't any errors etc. After commenting this line, everything works. Code was written under local computer with ArchLinux + LAMP. Now I have ubuntu 10.04 with the same configuration. What could it be?

  • Z-index bug with IE6.. can't seem to figure this one out

    I am working on this gorgeous header here at : http://kayaskitchenbelmar.com/test/header.html Unfortunately, in IE6, the drop downs that come off of the Print and View buttons collapse on to a new line. This is because of the common z-index bug. I tried resolving this by making the parent div have a higher z-index and position relative with its child a lower z-index and position absolute, but that didn't seem to work. Possibly I'm missing something obvious? Thanks so much

What would be the best way to do this? Would I read one line from the file and then split each characters separately and transfer it to the new array? Or perhaps read a line, and then read each character and put that in the array? Thanks for any help.

    Below is my code. when open the page in ie browser, then select the text in div, the text will be replaced by some shadow quad blank . If you delete a line z-index:0, in css class test1, the ie will perform correctly. In my project , the z-index must be set greater than zero, so I couldn't delete the line. I found a solution is to set bg_img.filter = "" when pannel.z-index greater than 0, then ie will also working good. But unfortunately, the bg_img.filter.alpha must be set, too.   • jQuery $().find problem

    I'm trying to get the contents of a XML document element, but the element has a colon in it's name. This line works for every element but the ones with a colon in the name: $(this).find("geo:lat").text(); I assume that the colon needs escaping. How do I fix this?
