  • Accessing a control in asp.net content page through Javascript

    Hi, I have a form in my content page for which I am doing some client side validations via Javascript. The Javascript behaves as expected if I place the JS code directly in the content page. But if I place the JS code in it's own file and try accessing that from the content/master page (through the script tag's src attribute), I get a run time error when the validation function in JS being called. To be specific, I get the below error. Microsoft JScript runtime error: Objected expected/required at this line - document.getElementById('<%=txtemailId.ClientID %').value txtemailId is in the content page. Javascript code is placed in validation.js and accessed via master page. The reason I guess is that when .net is parsing the files, it is unable to substitute txtemailId.ClientID with the client side value that would be generated later on. So, how should one go about it?     Hi, Im using the Microsoft.Office.Interop.MSProject.Resource assembly which has a "UniqueID" property, it has a get but not set. How can I actually set a value? An example would be very much appreciated. --Update-- Ok I can get the value for a property "Name" and set, but Im intersted in the "UniqueId" property that does not have a public set (get only): int ii = (int)resource.GetType().InvokeMember("UniqueID", BindingFlags.GetProperty, null, resource, new object[] { }); resource.GetType().InvokeMember("UniqueID", BindingFlags.SetProperty, null, resource, new object[] {iUid,}); I get the following error {"Number of parameters specified does not match the expected number."} anyway for me to work out how many paramters it needs?

  • NSMutableDictionary is adding quotes to keys and values - why?

    I'm trying to add some additional key/value pairs to an NSMutableDictionary, using: Tag *tag1 = [results1 objectAtIndex:0]; [resultsDict setObject:[tag1 retrieveTextUpToDepth:1] forKey:@"image_url"]; Tag *tag2 = [results2 objectAtIndex:0]; [resultsDict setValue:[tag2 retrieveTextUpToDepth:1] forKey:@"majority"]; This adds the k/v pairs with no problem, except when I come to retrieve them, some of the values have been wrapped with double quotes: po extendedDataDictionary: "image_url" = "/images/mpsL/11727.jpeg"; majority = 3460; Both keys and values are NSStrings, with no quotes - so I'm stumped as to where they're appearing from. Is there any way of preventing this? Or am I going to have to live with it and try to strip off the quotes once I've retrieved the value? Thanks...

    Hi, I have a problem, I created a full text search query which return a record(s), in which the paramater I have supplied match(es) in every fields(full-text indexed) of multiple tables. The problem is , when the user.id is equal to ceritification.AId it returns a records eventhough it was not satisfied with the parameter supplied. For this example I supplied a value "xandrick" which return an Id=184, but the problem is it returns two ids which is 184 and 154.What is the best way to return an ID(s) that satisfied of the supplied given value?   • Avoid IF statement after condition has been met

    I have a division operation inside a cycle that repeats many times. It so happens that in the first few passes through the loop (more or less first 10 loops) the divisor is zero. Once it gains value, a div by zero error is not longer possible. I have an if condition to test the divisor value in order to avoid the div by zero, but I am wondering that there is a performance impact that evaluating this if will have for each run in subsequent loops, especially since I know it's of no use anymore. How should this be coded? in Python?

    I have a large Javascript codebase to convert to jQuery. The code is structured such that DOM elements are created in Javascript (using a library called DomBuilder), and saved to variables if they will be needed later, before being added to the DOM. Eg. var inputs = { submitConfirm: INPUT({type: 'button', value: 'Submit'}), submitCancel : INPUT({type: 'button', value: 'Cancel'}) }; document.appendChild(inputs.submitConfirm); Then later for example... inputs.submitCancel.style.display = 'none'; inputs.submitCancel.addEventListener('click', onClickSubmitCancel, false); My problem is that jQuery seems to lack a way of manipulating DOM elements directly, as opposed to selecting them first (with for example $('#submitCancel'). Can anyone suggest a way to directly translate the last two Javascript lines given above to use jQuery, given that the DOM elements are already available, and so do not need to be selected?

    Im using the following code to adjust the brightness of the screen: public void SetBright(float value) { Window mywindow = getWindow(); WindowManager.LayoutParams lp = mywindow.getAttributes(); lp.screenBrightness = value; mywindow.setAttributes(lp); } But i want the brightness to be 0% for a specific time. But when i use SetBright(0.0f), i cant change it back. I made a timer that runs for a minute with 0% brightness, then turns it back to 100%. Works when i use 10% for example. But when i turn it to 0% i cant seem to wake it up again. Any ideas how to solve this?

    hi, i have ruby code to parse data in excel file using Parseexcel gem. I need to save 2 columns in that file into a Hash, here is my code: worksheet.each { |row| if row != nil key = row.at(1).to_s.strip value = row.at(0).to_s.strip if !parts.has_key?(key) and key.length 0 parts[key] = value end end } however it still save duplicate keys into the hash: "020098-10". I checked the excel file at the specified row and found the difference are " 020098-10" and "020098-10". the first one has a leading space while the second doesn't. I dont' understand is it true that .strip function already remove all leading and trailing white space? also when i tried to print out key.length, it gave me these weird number: 020098-10 length 18 020098-10 length 17 which should be 9....

Can someone point me to somewhere in the docs where this is explained?

    Hello I just got started looking at Lua as an easy way to access the SQLite DLL, but I ran into an error while trying to use the DB-agnostic LuaSQL module: require "luasql.sqlite" module "luasql.sqlite" print("Content-type: Text/html\n") print("Hello!") Note that I'm trying to start from the most basic setup, so only have the following files in the work directory, and sqlite.dll is actually the renamed sqlite3.dll from the LuaForge site: Directory of C:\Temp <DIR> luasql lua5.1.exe lua5.1.dll hello.lua Directory of C:\Temp\luasql sqlite.dll Am I missing some binaries that would explain the error? Thank you. Edit: I renamed the DLL to its original sqlite3.dll and updated the source to reflect this (originally renamed it because that's how it was called in a sample I found).   • Why can't I retrieve the entities I've just persisted?

    I've got this web service that basically queries the database and returns all persisted entities. For testing purposes, I've created a TestDataManager that persists 2 example entities after Spring context is loaded (BTW, I'm using JAX-WS, Spring, Hibernate and HSQLDB). I should have 2 entities in the DB by now. Afterwards, I invoke the endpoint by a SOAP client, and the request goes all the way up to the DAO. The Hibernate invocation does not raise any exception, but the returned list is empty. The odd thing is, in TestDataManager, if I switch from sf.openSession() to sf.getCurrentSession(), I get an error message: "No Hibernate Session bound to thread, and configuration does not allow creation of non-transactional one here". What I am doing wrong here? Why is the query "not seeing" the persisted entities? Why do I need to invoke sf.openSession() on TestDataManager although it's annotated with @Transactional? I have done some tests with hibernate.current_session_context_class=thread in application.xml, but then I just switch problems in each class. I'd like not needing to manually invoke sf.openSession() and leave that for Hibernate to take care. Thanks a lot for any help!

    I've hit a bit of a weird issue in Safari in regards to setting a js cookie. The cookie itself is just a rgb colour value, which gets set using .click(), and is working fine in Chrome and Firefox, yet in Safari the value of the cookie is incomplete, showing up as rgb(193 instead of rgb(193, 184, 76) as the other browsers do.   • linux container bridge filters ARP reply

    I am using kernel 3.0, and I have configured a linux container that is bridged to a tap interface in my host computer. This is the bridge configuration: :~$ brctl show bridge-1 bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces bridge-1 8000.9249c78a510b no ns3-mesh-tap-1 vethjUErij My problem is that this bridge is dropping ARP replies that come from the ns3-mesh-tap-1 interface. Instead, if I statically populate the ARP tables and ping directly everything works, so it has to be something related to ARP. I have read about similar problems in related posts, and I have tried with the solutions explained therein but nothing seems to work. Specifically: ~$ grep net.bridge /etc/sysctl.conf net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-arptables = 0 net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-iptables = 0 net.bridge.bridge-nf-call-ip6tables = 0 net.bridge.bridge-nf-filter-vlan-tagged = 0 net.bridge.bridge-nf-filter-pppoe-tagged = 0 arptables and ebtables are not installed. iptables FORWARD is all set to accept: Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination The bridged interfaces are set to PROMISC: ~$ ifconfig ns3-mesh-tap-1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 1a:c7:24:ef:36:1a ...   • Upload and preview image in client side without posting back

    I need to upload an image and then preview it without posting back as i need to have a file upload control(even HTMLinputfile or ASPfileupload) then the user will browse to select image after selecting (browsing) there will a button(HTMLInputButton) that will save the uploaded image and preview it. I have the following code : <div> <input id="UploadInput" type="file" value="Upload" /> <br /> <input id="PreviewBtnInput" type="button" value="Preview" onclick="ShowPreview()" /> <br /> <img id="ImgUploaded" /> </div> So how can i do this task ?   • Babel Django Off By 1 Cent

    I ran into a problem today while using BabelDjango and thought I would ask if anyone has ran into anything similar. I was using the tags in my templates, {% load babel %} and then {{amount_owed|currencyfmt:"USD"}} which returned the amount_owed minus one-cent. I thought maybe the returned value was 9.949999 which should still be $9.95 but when I returned the raw value it returned "9.95". However when I formatted it using the babel tags the rsult was off by one-cent. My 9.95 returned "$9.94" Anyone have any advice where to look to troubleshoot this problem?   • How to parse an XML string in TDI

    I am new to TDI. I have a TDI assembly line that calls a web service (ibmdi.InvokeSoapWS) which returns the result as a string in the work attribute 'xmlString'. I then have an AttributeMap that attempts to parse the xml and extract a value (the node it seeks is a few nodes deep). var parser = system.getParser('ibmdi.SOAP'); var xmlString = work.getString('xmlString'); var entity = parser.parseRequest(xmlString); task.dump(entity); The trouble is, the parsed object does not contain an accurate representation of the XML. It contains only two attributes, the first is correctly the first node following the soap body (e.g., ns0:SomeNodeReply), the second being a node inside the first (e.g., ns0:DetailCount). And as far as I can determine, both attributes are just strings so I cannot recurse into the object graph. Below is a sample soap reply: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <ns0:SomeNodeReply xmlns:ns0="http://xmlns.example.com/unique/default/namespace/1136581686664"> <ns0:Status> <ns0:StatusCD>000</ns0:StatusCD> <ns0:StatusDesc /> </ns0:Status> <ns0:DetailCount>1</ns0:DetailCount> <ns0:SomeDetail> <ns0:CodeA>Foo</ns0:CodeA> <ns0:CodeB>Bar</ns0:CodeB> </ns0:SomeDetail> </ns0:SomeNodeReply> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> And below is a sample dump of the parsed string: 19:03:23 CTGDIS003I *** Start dumping Entry 19:03:23 Operation: generic 19:03:23 Entry attributes: 19:03:23 SOAP_CALL (replace): 'ns0:SomeNodeReply' 19:03:23 ns0:DetailCount(replace): '1' 19:03:23 CTGDIS004I *** Finished dumping Entry All I really need to do is be able to parse out a value that may or may not be there, depending on the value of another node (e.g., DetailCount == 1, get CodeA otherwise return empty string). I am open to changing anything about how this works if I can extract the data into the work Entry.
