    - by Jeff
    Hello, I'm developing a program on Microsoft Surface. And I didn't succeed to make disable completely the shadow. Here is my problem : http://i61.servimg.com/u/f61/11/31/25/01/sans_t10.png Heres is the XAML code : <s:ScatterViewItem Height="130" x:Name="jetons1" Width="180" CanScale="False" BorderThickness="0" ShowsActivationEffects="False" StaysActive="True" SnapsToDevicePixels="True" Foreground="{x:Null}" Background="{x:Null}" BorderBrush="{x:Null}" />

  • My images are blurry! Why isn't WPF's SnapsToDevicePixels working?

    - by Zack Peterson
    I'm using some Images in my WPF applcation. XAML: <Image Name="ImageOrderedList" Source="images/OrderedList.png" ToolTip="Ordered List" Margin="0,0,5,5" Width="20" Height="20" SnapsToDevicePixels="True" MouseUp="Image_MouseUp" MouseEnter="Image_MouseEnter" MouseLeave="Image_MouseLeave" /> But, they appear fuzzy: Here's a zoomed-in, side-by-side comparison. An original is on the left: Why doesn't that SnapsToDevicePixels="True" line prevent this problem?

  • After Effect - Triangle Wave (JavaScript)

    - by PJ Palomaki
    Hi, I'm trying to control a parameter with AE expressions and I need a triangle wave. I've got this so far: freq = 20; amplitude = 8; m = amplitude; i = time*freq; m - (i % (2*m) - m); Unfortunately this gives a saw wave (see below) and my math's a bit rusty, any takers? Thanks! I'd appreciate some feedback on the compression and caching configuration below. Trying to come up with a general purpose, optimized compression and caching configuration. If possible: Note your PageSpeed and YSlow grades Add configuration to your .htaccess Clear your cache Note your PageSpeed and YSlow grades to see if there are any improvements (or degradations) NOTE: Make sure you have appropriate modules loaded. • Can I apply a texture to UIToolbar?

    - by Ben
    I tried doing this: [toolbar setTint:[UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"thingFromMyBundle.png"]]]; but it just ended up black. At first I assumed you weren't allowed to "tint" with a texture, but I've seen apps recently that can do this. Am I missing something? Thanks.

  • CSS sliding doors technique for buttons, IE8 problem

    - by Kelvin
    Hello All! I used sliding doors technique, explained here: http://www.oscaralexander.com/tutorials/how-to-make-sexy-buttons-with-css.html With only one exception, that I decided to add one more image for "hover" effect. My code works well for all browsers, except IE8 (and maybe earlier versions). a.submit-button:active and a.submit-button:active span are simply blocked by "hover" and never work. Does anyone knows solution for this? Thanks a lot in advance! <style type="text/css"> .clear { /* generic container (i.e. div) for floating buttons */ overflow: hidden; width: 100%; } a.submit-button { background: transparent url('images/button-1b.png') no-repeat scroll top right; color: #fff; display: block; float: left; font: bold 13px sans-serif, arial; height: 28px; margin-right: 6px; padding-right: 18px; /* sliding doors padding */ text-decoration: none; outline: none; } a.submit-button span { background: transparent url('images/button-1a.png') no-repeat; display: block; line-height: 14px; padding: 6px 0 8px 24px; } a.submit-button:hover { background-position: right -28px; outline: none; /* hide dotted outline in Firefox */ color: #fff; } a.submit-button:hover span { background-position: 0px -28px; } a.submit-button:active { background-position: right -56px; color: #e5e5e5; outline: none; } a.submit-button:active span { background-position: 0px -56px; padding: 7px 0 7px 24px; /* push text down 1px */ } </style> And this is the button: <div class="clear"> <a class="submit-button" href="#" onclick="this.blur();"><span>Hello All</span></a> </div>

  • What are unusual and creative usages of html5 canvas

    - by stej
    Canvas from html5 was introduced some time ago. Currently it's used (almost) only for demonstrations how cool it is - it's mainly related to painting, games and charts. Many of them can be found at Canvas demos. How creatively / unusually can canvas be used? Some examples: jsAscii - ASCII art from images with Javascript and Canvas (yea, I know, it's painting but not the classic one) Javascript compression using PNG and Canvas

  • Do fluent interfaces violate the Law of Demeter?

    - by Jakub Šturc
    The wikipedia article about Law of Demeter says: The law can be stated simply as "use only one dot". However a simple example of a fluent interface may look like this: static void Main(string[] args) { new ZRLabs.Yael.Pipeline("cat.jpg") .Rotate(90) .Watermark("Monkey") .RoundCorners(100, Color.Bisque) .Save("test.png"); } So does this goes together?
