• jQuery UI sortable issue with helper Y offset value being same as scroll offset on FireFox only

  I have a problem with a jQuery UI 1.7.2 sortable list in Firefox, IE7-8 work fine. When I'm scrolled down a bit, the helper element seems to have an offset of the same height that I'm scrolled down from the mouse pointer which makes it impossible to see which item you originally started dragging. How do I fix this or work around the issue? If there is no fix what is a really good alternative drag-able plugin?   I have set up a list using this css... #navlist li { list-style-type: none; padding: 7px; float: left; } I have shown the page using jquery ui with other div containers... the page here the page named friend.jsp?all=true Im using a clearing div... .clear { clear:left; overflow:hidden; height:1px; } Now when i use a clearing div i get the page like this... the clearing div is clearing up to the end of the page... but on the 1st tab, that is on the freinds tab, when i m not using a clearing div i get the tab pane with no height...   I have a page that uses JQuery UI; in particular the Sortable interaction. The page works fine for desktop web browsers with mice, however I can't get the drag-drop functionality to work on Mobile Safari on the iPhone. Any dragging action simply scrolls the page. The functionality on my page is extremely similar to the Sortable Empty-Lists demo on the JQuery UI site. This page also doesn't work on the iPhone. Is there any way to get the drag-drop functions working on the iPhone?

• Jquery UI Autocomplete widget conflict qith jqeury.menu widget - how can I solve it?

  My app already has a completed menu using jquery.menu.js found at http://wiki.jqueryui.com/Menu. I'm now also trying to add the jquery autocomplete widget from jquery ui 1.8.1 - but both of these have a .menu() function that conflicts with each other. If I put jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.js first in the head, then autocomplete works but the menu does not. If I put jquery-menu.js first in the head, then the menu works but autocomplete doesnt. Is there a way to solve this without editing either plugin? (If I edit, I will probably lose those changes the next time either plugin is upgraded)

• Datepicker BeforeShowDay CSS problem with content styling

  I think I'm not the only one having this problem. Whenever I try to apply a BeforeShowDay a new CSS class, the content of the "special date" is not being modified. I tried changing the default theme, adding a new class, but this is affecting only the outside border and not the inside content. Using Firebug I found that the html code being printed is the following: <td class=" ui-state-content ui-state-anulados" onclick="DP_jQuery.datepicker._selectDay('#datepicker',9,2009, this);return false;" title="Paddle"> <a class="ui-state-default" href="#">16</a> </td> So, my class would be ui-state-content ui-state-anulados but I notice that the ui-state-default class is being applied automatically and I suspect that this may be the problem. I really don't know how to solve this. I've been looking inside ui.datepicker.js code and I think I found the line that is giving me this problems. It is line number 1394 and it has the following code. (ui.datepicker.js) (unselectable ? • Wifi not working after a few minutes

  I'm using a few MacBooks and iPads connected to a router via WiFi. The problem is that a few minutes after they connect via WiFi the connection stops working. This happens on all devices. I went into the router settings by connecting via cable and everything seems in order. Connecting a laptop via cable to the router I can use internet as normal, the problem is only with WiFi. What can be the problem here? • IPSec VPN's being dropped by router and will not re-establish

  We have 3 sites, with our two remote sites connection to head office via LAN-to-LAN VPN's. All 3 sites use DrayTek 2900's with firware version v3.3.1.1_RC2 (this is a release candidate that DrayTek suggested I try, but sadly it made no difference). The only way to re-establish the VPN's once they have been dropped is to restart the router. Head office is set to dial out to both sites, with both the 'Always on' and 'Enable PING to keep alive' (pinging a server in the remote offices) options ticked. However, at random intervals the VPN's drop, logging IKE_RELEASE VPN : Dial-out Profile Index = 7, Name = Shepton (for one connection, and '6' & 'Wincanton' for the other connection). I first tried swapping the router with one at another site, and then had all three replaced, but that failed to solve the problem. Is anyone aware of anything that could cause the VPN's to drop randomly like this? Thanks.

  I have a Juniper EX3300 switch in a data center. And I have connected one of the uplink ports (ge-0/1/0) to my ISP's router. I want to configure it so that all the devices connected to ports in the same VLAN as ge-0/1/0 can access the Internet. I have done some research, and I haven't gotten anywhere really. I have configured the interface as follows: ge-0/1/0 { ether-options { no-auto-negotiation; link-mode full-duplex; speed { 1g; } } unit 0 { family inet { address xx.xx.xx.xx/32; } } } where xx.xx.xx.xx is the "Customer Router Port IP" assigned by my ISP. When I try to commit, I get the following error: Interface ge-0/1/0.0 not enabled for switching Can some one tell me what is the right way to configure it?

• MTU, DSL router and stalling TCP

  I am discovering stalling TCP connection problem. The problem arises when I try to scp stuff from remote system from my home network. My home network is connected to internet via PPPoE (ADSL+) and everything works perfectly once working from my home network. The ADSL router has MTU set to 1492 but with that setting the scp from remote system does not work - stalling! When I change the MTU on my router to 1500 the that scp works perfectly but internet accesses from my home network is very slow to most of the www sites - even local ones. Just wondering where the problem exists - my ISP blocking ICMP, etc? Thanks!

• Trouble with setting up Mac SSH with TP-LINK router

  I have a Mac running OS X 10.7.2, and a TP-Link TL-WR740N (whose control panel looks like this). Remote Login is on in the Mac's System Preferences, and port 22 is set to forward on the router. I can access my Mac as a web server using the external IP on port 80, which I have set up through the same port-forwarding mechanism provided by the router, but when I try to ssh server@external-ip, it just times out after a long while. (The same thing happens when I try vnc.) I can, however, ssh and vnc successfully into that computer while I'm on the same network when using its internal IP. Since ssh appears to work and port forwarding appears to work, I can't figure out what's causing the problem. Does anyone have any idea what might cause this?

• Why is port 444 open on this router?

  I have a Cisco RV110W. I ran nmap at it from the outside and nmap reports that the router has tcp port 444 open. Yet there are no port forwarding rules specifying this port. It should as far as I can tell, be closed. There's even a service listening to that port which I can connect to through telnet. I threw some SNPP commands at it but the service doesn't respond to any of them so I don't believe it's SNPP. Does anyone have any idea why this particular router has tcp port 444 open? I haven't been able to find anything in the manual or on Cisco's website.

  I'm working on a project to replace my organisation's aging Slackware gateway/router/firewall machine in our colo rack. Previously we used rc.firewall but we are now looking for something more modern and easily configurable. The requirements are: Act as a gateway router & firewall Port forwarding to a Terminal Server in the colo IP/traffic accounting, preferably accessible via SNMP (already using cacti for other servers) Possibility of acting as a PPTP server & routing these connections Is not an out-of-the-box Cisco product (don't have the finances or support to maintain it) I'd prefer to use Ubuntu or some other Debian-based distro but something that integrates everything we're looking for is certainly an option if it offers all the desired features and is easy to configure. Is there a simple set of packages that will provide me with the Firewall & Accounting features, or am I best served with a custom-built distro / other solution?

• Connect server to router with workstation in between?

  I have a server (9 yr old Dell with Ubuntu 10.04 Server Edition) and a workstation (Laptop with Vista) which are both connected to a router. The workstation is able to access the server via web browser for testing my web development projects. Since the server is old and does not have a wireless card, I am wondering if it is possible to connect the server directly to the workstation while maintaining the ability to connect to the server from the workstation. The reason is that the computers are in a separate room from the router and I am trying to limit the amount of wires on the floor, along with trying to avoid buying more hardware (like a wireless card).   Hi, I have a belkin wireless-g router, model F5D7230-4. about every 10-15 minutes, for about 1-1.5 mins I won't be able to browse any web sites. during this period, I usually get replys from "ping google.com". maybe 4/5 times I'll get a reply, 1/5 times i don't. I have changed the router DNS entries from "get DNS server from ISP" to 8.8.8.8, google's DNS and that hasn't fixed the situation. This happens on several computers, running windows7, xp, ubuntu, and a mac, so it is definitely NOT an issue with a computer configuration. any ideas?

  I am trying to setup a server at customer's location that has the Actiontec GT704-WG DSL router. The port forwarding it not working at all. Here's the details: Server: OpenSuse Linux box with a static IP address of 192.168.1.200 Application running accepting connections on port 8060 Firewall disabled Local connections (within the network) working properly Router: Updated to latest firmware available DHCP range set to 192.168.1.69-192.168.1.199 to not have any conflicts with the server Firewall set to "off" Rule set in the "Applications" setting to forward 8060 TCP and UDP to 192.168.1.200 machine (I've tried using the "TCP,UDP" option as well as both individual options) I've also tried just simply putting the server in the DMZ to see if I could connect to anything, but still nothing. Looking for any clues before I call and waste hours explaining the issue to tech support.

• SSH not working after Restoring Running-Config to a Replacement Cisco Router

  One of my Cisco routers died over the weekend, Cisco sent the replacement and I restored the the config using copy tftp: running-config. Everything seems to work fine but I can no longer ssh into the router (I can telnet). The connection is refused, so it isn't listening on port 22 it seems like. I had previously backed up the config by just doing ssh router 'show run' > backup_config from my workstation. So: Is there anything wrong with my method of backup vs copy running-config tftp:? I know I haven't given any debug information, but is there something typical I need to do to get ssh working?
