  Greeting, I'm a C# programmer guy. I'm planning to start developing app for iphone but I'm not sure if I should use C# under MonoTouch or just use the native language for iphone OS Objective C. Is there a different to program for iphone app using C# or Objective C? Is there limitation using C# to program app for iphone or it can do as much as Objective C can do to develop iphone app?

  Long winded title, short question: If one wants to develop for Windows but not have to rely on any external dependency (no runtime, thus ruling out .net), what supported, alive and fully functioning* alternatives are there? Visual Basic 6 is dead, Visual C++ is obvious and Delphi seems to be the prime choice for that, but I wonder if there are any other alternatives? *as in: Being able to use all the Windows Features like putting an icon in the Notification Area, making the Taskbar Icon flash etc.

  I've been looking for a good book for windows shell programming, and the only one I could find is Visual C++ Windows Shell Programming by Dino Eposito: http://www.wintellect.com/BookInformation.aspx?ASIN=1861001843 It is an old book, and I'd like to know if you know of any good resources which could help. I need to develop a couple of windows explorer extensions, and apparently managed code is not recommended by Microsoft at least for some of these tasks. • Could not load the following font issue in ireports

  We have our own fonts for our application. We are using Windows Vista operating system to develop the Reports using iReport. We are using iReports 3.7.1. I kept all my fonts in a folder in C:\ drive. I gave fonts path in iReport. Still I am getting 'Could not load the font' error while generating the report. The same worked fine on Windows 2000 and with iReport 2.x versions.

  Hello, I currently develop an application in C# with framework .NET 3.5 SP1. In my app, I have satellite assemblies which are not in the same folder as the exe, and that causes me some trouble with FullTrust, as explained here. In order to solve that problem, I wish to use .NET 4.0 whose Code Access Security Policy should allow my satellite assemblies to be FullyTrusted. So my question is: is just installing the framework enough, or do I need to rebuild the solution with VS2010? Thanks

  I'm trying to develop a grid-like application for the iPad. Has anyone seen a control that displays info in a grid? In the demos they use a grid-like layout in both the iBooks store and the pictures application. Specifically in pictures, they are displaying a dynamic list of data in a grid. I can work around it, of course, but I'd rather use a control if one exists. Thanks!
