    Hi guys, We've recently upgraded from VS2008 - VS2010 (and hence upgrading from Web Deployment Project to proper deployment templates). Alas - my Workflow skills arent quite up to scratch. Previously, we used a MSBuild task to execute the Yahoo YUI Javascript/CSS compression module to minify/compress javascript and css files. Anyone manage to accomplish this task with Visual Studio 2010 / TFS 2010 ?

    Usually on windows XP if I wanted to know the location of an installed program I would just click 'Properties' and it would show where the executable is located. On windows 7 I do the same thing and I get this: How can I find out where programs are located based on the shortcut? I did however notice that for some programs it does show a shortcut under the 'Target', but not in the case with iTunes for example.

It works properly on another 32bit machine, but on this i have still problem with some .so module. # file /bin/bash /bin/bash: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.18, stripped if i run doctotext.sh it`s return an error: ./doctotext: error while loading shared libraries: libgsf-1.so.114: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory please, can you help?

    I'm about to install "leiningen" which is a bash script for the clojure programming language with a lot of usefulness... ...but I'm not sure where it is appropriate to -put- a executable script in the linux system so that it's permanently and stable-ly available. I don't think that anywhere in /home makes sense, but I don't know which directory/directories are supposed to be used for that. /usr/share?

    I need to multicast an x11 application window to multiple (sai 100) clients in a lossy (wireless) environment. Right now, I was able to do it through screen grabbing (vlc) and h264 compression, but there should be a cleaner solution, something along the lines of a multicast NX session.     I've got many files that I want to store in a single archive file. My first approach was to store the files in a gzipped tarball. The problem is, that I've to rewrite the whole archive if a single file is added. I could get rid of the gzip compression, but adding a file would still be expensive. What other archive format would you suggest that allows fast append operations?

    Hello :) I'm writing a compressor for a long stream of 128 bit numbers. I would like to store the numbers as differences -- storing only the difference between the numbers rather than the numbers themselves because I can pack the differences in fewer bytes because they are smaller. However, for compression then I need to subtract these 128 bit values, and for decompression I need to add these values. Maximum integer size for my compiler is 64 bits wide. Anyone have any ideas for doing this efficiently? Billy3

  • User directory in PATH in zsh: ~ Does Not Work

    I'm doing this in my .zshrc PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" and if I do echo $PATH it appears as the first thing in the path. Yet this directory isn't included in the executable path (nor for tab-completion). What am I doing wrong? ls ~/scripts shows the directory as expected. Edit: This works, though... I guess ~ doesn't work in the path? #PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" PATH="/Users/yar/scripts:$PATH"

    Hi, I am trying to compress multiple files into a single zip archive and I am running into low memory warning. Since the complete zip file is loaded into the memory I guess that's the problem. Is there a way by which I can manage the compression/decompression better using ZipArchive so that not all the data is in the memory at once? Thanks!

  • Scheduled Tasks - how do I handle a user log off?

    I set a new scheduled task to start "when my computer starts". I assigned an Administrator user to run the task. This is an executable that is supposed to run indefinitely in the background. The problem is, that if the Administrator logs in and then logs off, the task stops running. Is there a solution for this? UPDATE: this was caused because the task running was in java. See my own solution.

At the moment I have devised just a simple text-based protocol delimited by special characters. I'd like to adopt a protocol which is designed for fast transfer and supports perhaps compression and minification of the data that travels over the TCP socket.

    I recently had a nasty trojan on my box have one problem that has persisted after getting rid of it using Microsoft Security Essentials. Launching the chrome.exe executable results in iexplore.exe being launched instead. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling chrome several times to no avail. I've found issues with the packages that I've tried in that most of the packages seem to simply list the contents of the Add/Remove Programs list, which is useless with any application that is just a standalone executable. We have a few hundred PCs so the likes of Altiris may be too costly.

    I have a large file I want to transfer using either Internet storage hosting, DVD-Rs or USB storage, which sometimes is limited to FAT file-systems (for example: mobile phones) What I'm basically looking for is a tool that create multiple files/volumes (less than 2GB each - FAT's file size limit) which are packed with a self-extracting executable.   • KeyPass - KeyPassHttp refuses to be recognised as a plugin

    I'm trying to make KeyPass run on my Windows 7 machine, I've downloaded and installed KeePass, aim to use it alongside Passifox However, downloading and copying the KeePassHttp executable to the C:\Program Files (x86)\KeePass Password Safe folder, however it refuses to show up in the KeyPass plugins window. Please help, I've tried download KeePassHttp using multiple links from github and passifox itself using Firefox and even wget. Also I've tried pinging http://localhost:19455 but nothing was found. Any ideas I'm at a loss.
