• Partial sync of Mysql databases on two remote computers

  Does mysql replication supports delayed sync if remote slave server is OFF? For example I want to make my developing server have a fresh copy of databases each morning. It should be partial sync, not full copy of databases each morning. And synchronization should be only ONE way, not duplex, to avoid deleting something of master server. What utilities are out there or native functionality of mysql itself? Thanks!

  I have a MySQL database on my server and I"m pretty sure it's an int over flow on one table with an auto_increment field that's crashing it. I can delete the table, it's not very important, but I can't get into the server. Is there anyway to delete that database from the file system or without logging into MySQL? HELP! THE WORLD IS ENDING!

  Here I am, day three... attempting to sync a data view on a Windows Vista box (64 bit) running MSSQL 2012 and Visual Studio 2010. Sanity is slipping and hunger for progress fills my attention. I went through hell trying to get the MySQL ODBC drivers to get the job but to no avail...everyone seems to be lost and all the threads I can find are solutions that do not work for me. The problem: System DSN's not being seen by SSIS. SSIS DSN Not Showing as ODBC Data Source I make the decision to try out the ADO.NET connector...and to my surprise it is actually in the selection list in data sources in SSIS. So I take off running to create a Data Flow Task, create an ADO.NET Source (a local MSSQL DB)...all is good as usual. Then I move swiftly to creating a ADO.NET Destination, enter my credentials...wow, I am selecting a database finally on my linux server! Happy thinking that I finally have figured a way to get the job done. Then I move to mappings...nope, something is wrong...I am getting an error that hurts my eyes: Pipeline component has returned HRESULT error code 0xC0208457 from a a method call. Error at Data Flow Task [ADO NET Destination [81]]: Failed to get properties of external columns. The table name you entered may not exist or you do not have SELECT permission on the table object and an alternative attempt to get column properties through connection has failed. Detailed error messages are" You have an error in your SQL syntax check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near "database".tablename" at line 1. The descriptor files on path C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\ProviderDescriptors\ does not contain schema information for connection of type MySQL.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection. So it looks like it can't the information and therefore I cannot map the tables properly. Any ideas on this would be ultra helpful...thanks in advance to All!

• Error in mysql "max_allowed_packet" VPS godaddy

  I am getting error "Serious session error detected. Please notify administrator, this problem is most probably caused by small value in max_allowed_packet MySQL setting. " This error generally comes after every 20-25 minutes and when it comes , it logs out the user and then logs in again, starts again and then after sometime the same issue occurs again. I tried changing max_allowed_packet setting but getting error "access denied; You need SUPER privilege for this operation'. I even tried SET SESSION too but error "SESSION variable 'max_allowed_packet' is read-only. Use SET GLOBAL to assign the value" I have hosted the website on godaddy VPS centos and access it via putty or cpanel. Website is made in moodle 2.0.3 i.e. php. My developers use to fix this but warned will occur when server restart. As godaddy ppl say move to dedicated and then i can do but as I don't have any money so can't at present. I trying to find how developers used to do for temporary fix that is until server restart.

  We have an application running with CodeIgniter and MySQL in cestacerta.com. Ther are two versions: One that is in production and it works perfectly, and one that is our Development version. This runs locally on my machine and the other developers. The development version needs to remotely connect to the database, and it rather suddenly stopped working. I've given permission to access any IP settings on the server. I can access the database through the MySQL Gui Tools. I have tested access to several different codes, including a newly downloaded version of CodeIgniter and always got the same error: "A Database Error Occurred Unable to connect to your database server using the provided settings. Filename: C: \ xampp \ htdocs \ cestacerta \ system \ database \ DB_driver.php Line Number: 119 " What troubleshooting steps can I take determine if the error is on our workstations (which all have the same error) or on our server.

  From what I can tell this is recent error that has started to occur on my localserver: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10048). My site will work for a while then it will randomly throw this error then start working again. Any advice on how to fix this? I have searched online and most people claim that it is a windows based error which needs a registry fix but I wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this issue and has any better advice? • Issue with aborted MySQL connections (error code: 4)

  Some of the connections between my application server (Ubuntu, Apache, PHP) and my DB server (Ubuntu, MySQL) are failing with error code 4. According to the documentation error code 4 is: OS error code 4: Interrupted system call At first I thought that maybe the issue is that the DB server has too many connections and fails because there are too much open files. But it seems not to be the case because: Too many open files has different error code (24). I've checked and during peak time the server had 497 files open (checked using lsof command) while the maximum is 1024. The TCP settings were already checked (see prior question). Any ideas what this can be or what should I check?

  I am trying to setup a MySQL server and when I went to create a second user it wouldn't give it permissions for the database. I can connect fine as long as I don't specify a database.   I have few Drupal 6 websites on webhosting, which causes this strange problem: some tables, especially Cache and Watchdog, tend to overhead, when overhead is bigger than some amount of kB, MySQL server is refusing connection to given Drupal database or connection is broken during query execution, Optimizing table (just overheaded rows) in phpMyAdmin is putting all back to normal. But - until database is optimized, site is showing just MySQL errors, which is ugly... Where is a problem? Thank you for any hints I could pass back to the hosting admins!

  I am working on an Asset Database problem. I receive $id from $_GET["id"]; I then query the database and display the results.   Hi There, When I try to run my site it gives error as Internal Server error, when I refresh the page I get my result properly.The error page looks like this: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
