    I'm writing a program which needs to traverse a set of directories. Tried to use the following code: file.eachDirMatch(/.*[^.svn]/){ //some code here } But that ended up match none of my directories. I realize this boils down figuring out the right regex hang head in shame but even after revisiting some Java Regular Expression documentation I thought this should work.

  • c++ Function pointer inlining

    I know I can pass a function pointer as a template parameter and get a call to it inlined but I wondered if any compilers these days can inline an 'obvious' inline-able function like: inline static void Print() { std::cout << "Hello\n"; } .... void (*func)() = Print; func(); Under Visual Studio 2008 its clever enough to get it down to a direct call instruction so it seems a shame it can't take it a step further?

    I'm getting the following line in the disassembly from objdump -d of an x86 linux program... 4000b0: ba 0e 00 00 00 mov $0xe,%edx I'm trying to understand how the machine code "ba 0e 00 00 00" maps to "mov $0xe,%edx" In the manual move immediate 32-bit is: B8 + rd ... MOV r32, imm32 ie "B8" not "BA" In fact none of the MOV opcodes are "BA". If someone could break down "ba 0e 00 00 00" and explain bit-wise how to get to "mov $0xe,%edx" it would be most helpful.

    Just looking on resources that break down how frames per second work. I know it has something to do with keeping track of Ticks and figure out how many ticks occured between each frame. But I never ran into any resources on why exactly you have to use the methods you use in order to get a smooth frame work. I am trying to get a thourough understanding of this.     Here is my code so far: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#slider").click(function() { $("#insight").animate({ top: "25px",}, 300, function() { $("#insight").animate({ top: "89px",}, 300); }); }); }); I want this to act like .toggle(), where by on click #div1 slides up to top:25px and then stops, but when clicked again slides down to top:89px. Can anyone expand the function above to achieve this?

  • Deleteing cache upon submit

    I have an asp.net web form (c#, .NET framework 3.5) that returns to itself after the user clicks the submit button. I think that some values of the form are cached (some controls in a "placeholder" are out of position... meaning they have moved slightly up or down on the web form). How can I delete the cache after user clicks submit, and ensure that the form reloads fresh, after submit?

I want that if someone click on hyperlink inside the accordion , then that accordion should slide up slowly and only after that the nect accordion falls down or open $(".accord").live('click', function(){ $('#rr1').next().slideUp('slow'); $('#rr3').next().slideDown('slow'); But i have seen that the other accordion starts opening up at the same time when the other is closing.   • Highlight table view cells when user drags across rows

    I have a grouped table view that does not need to scroll. I'd like each cell to highlight as the user moves their finger down the screen and call didSelectRowAtIndexPath on release. This behaviour can be seen done by apple in 'settings mail add account'? I can't seem to replicate it myself, all I can get is the default, where the cell deselects as soon as the user moves their finger.

  • Are there any scripts to synchronize sites?

    I've just set up a fail-over DNS to switch the site to a second host if the first is down. This is great for showing an old / archived version of the site, but I suspect maintenance is going to be a real pain. I moved the files over with rsync in the first place. Is this the kinda thing that could be run as a cron job, automatically moving over newer files?

    Under certain circumstances, I wish to display an error message to the user if the application didn't shut down, but MessageBox.Show() doesn't actually do anything after calling Application.Exit(). Is there a way to convince it to show a dialog after Application.Exit()?

  • Click to select from a list of tags in jQuery

    I'm struggling to find a tag selection UI for a rails app. Ideally it would be something like the selection here on Stackoverflow, or on Delicious or Digg. I want users to be able to select multiple tags with a single click. We're already using jQuery, so it makes sense to use something that takes advantage of that. I've used the selection ui in jQuery and I'm not thrilled about having users need to hold down ctrl to select multiple tags.
