  • How we run a .NET 32-bit application in a 64-bit Windows server?

    We are installing a third party application in one of our 64-bit Windows servers. This application apparently was build with the compiler option set to choose the platform at run time. When we run the application it gives us an error: System.BadImageFormatException: is not a valid Win32 application. I have seen in MSDN forums that in order to fix this error I have to build the application set to 32-bit, and that way it will run fine on a 64-bit server. I check on other StackOverflow links Other Posts. How to get around this situation? For everyone that wants to know more information: The application is running fine in a 32-bit test server. IIS version 6 using SQL Server Express 2005 On the Web Service Extension there are both Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll and Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll

  • Add widgets to custom WordPress sidebars on theme activation?

    I'm working on a WordPress 3.0 multi-site installation. Each new blog will use the same theme with slight modifications (a custom Thesis install, if it matters). I'm trying to automate the set-up process for each new blog as much as possible. To that end, I'd like to automatically add widgets to my custom sidebars and widget-enabled footers. It'd be even better if the widgets could have pre-set parameters/content, that I or the blog owner could then go into the Widgets panel and edit. I've searched high and low and haven't been able to figure out a way to make this work. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks so much!

  • Asp.Net error reporting with stacktrace

    I have an Asp.Net web site set up to log errors using Log4Net (in global.asax) and redirect users to a custom error page (set up in web.config with: ). On this error page the users have the opportunity to write about what they did when the error occurred and post the description back to us to help fix the problem. My question is this: How do i connect the error stacktrace to the users error report? It appears that .Net has handled the error when it was written to the log file and the custom error page has no information about the stacktrace. If only I could see the stacktrace from the custom error page code-behind my problem would be solved.

    I follow the technique specified in Roy Osherove's The Art Of Unit Testing book while naming test methods - MethodName_Scenario_Expectation. It suits perfectly well for my 'unit' tests. But,for tests that I write in 'controller' or 'coordinator' class, there isn't necessarily a method which I want to test. For these tests, I generate multiple conditions which make up one scenario and then I verify the expectation. For example, I may set some properties on different instances, generate an event and then verify that my expectation from controller/coordinator is being met. Now, my controller handles events using a private event handler. Here my scenario is that, I set some properties, say 3 condition1,condition2 and condition3 Also, my scenario includes an event is raised I don't have a method name as my event handler is private. How do I name such a test method?

  • FFmpeg + iPhone - Interesting (incorrect?) video encoding results

    I'm encoding some video on the iPhone by running the png image data through swscale to get YUV420P data then encoding that frame using the MSMPEG4V1 codec. In the api docs, avcodec_encode_video should return the number of bytes used from the output buffer by that encode operation. There are 234,000 bytes going into the encoder, but the result returned by avcodec_encode_video is simply "4". The result is exactly the same over 24 frames. Something seems fishy here...any insight? Here's a pastebin link to the code: http://pastebin.com/ht94FWva (sorry for the link away from SO, I just didn't want to have the code duplicated in several places) EDIT: Also, I've set up a custom log callback for ffmpeg to use and I have the log level set to "Verbose" (libavutil/log.h), so libavcodec should be logging any goofs to the console, but avcodec is quiet throught he whole operation. (note: I did test to make sure my log callback was working)

    I can't seem to set a default background color for all of my windows in my application. Does anyone know how to do this? Currently I'm setting a theme in my App.xaml file like this. <Application> <Application.Resources> <ResourceDictionary Source="Themes/SomeTheme.xaml" /> This basically styles my entire application. Inside of SomeTheme.xaml I am trying to set a default color for all of my windows like this. <Style TargetType="{x:Type Window}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource MainColor}" /> </Style> This syntax works on a type of Button, but is completely ignored for Window. What am I doing wrong? Is there something special I have to do for a Window type.

  • Rendering problem with UITableview

    I have a very strange problem with a UITableview within a navigation controller on the iPhone simulator. Of the cells displayed, only some are correctly rendered. They are all supposed to look the same but the majority are missing the accessory I've set, scrolling the view changes which cell has the accessory so I suspect it's some sort of cell caching happening, although the contents are correct for each cell. I also set an image as the background and that was also only displaying sporadically but I fixed that by changing cell.backgroundView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"yellow-bar_short.png"]]; (which also only rendered a random cell with the background) to cell.backgroundColor = [[UIColor alloc] initWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"yellow-bar_short.png"]]; I now need to fix the problem with the accessory only showing on a random cell. I tried moving the code from cellForRowAtIndex to willDisplayCell but it made no difference. I put in a log command to confirm that it is running through each frame. Basically it's a table view (UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle) that gets its info from a server & is then updated by a delegate method calling reload.   • EPOC EMOTIV cognitive suite is user dependent or independent

    After working a bit with EPOC EMOTIV, i suspect that its cognitive suite is user dependent, though its other suites are not and work absolutely well in all cases. It's use in cognitive area is wide and many such applications have also been developed. BCI CAD 3D geometry shapes are also a good example. But the main issue i want to highlight is that is it's cognitive suite depends on a particular set of data( same set always). I want to work more deeper with cognitive suite so any help(suggestions, research papers, EEG data processing), anything which can be a great source to deal with. Thanks!

However when I try to use curl or file_get_contents from a script in my zend 'public' folder I get a 500 Internal error message.     Let us say I have a table (everything is very much simplified): create table OriginalData ( bla char(10) not null ) And I would like to insert its data (set based!) into two tables which model inheritance create table Statements ( Id int IDENTITY NOT NULL, ProposalDateTime DATETIME null ) create table Items ( StatementFk INT not null, ItemName NVARCHAR(255) null, primary key (StatementFk) ) Statements is the parent table and Items is the child table. I have no problem doing this with one row which involves the use of IDENT_CURRENT but I have no idea how to do this set based (i.e. enter several rows into both tables). Thanks. If not, the default icon will be displayed. However it is natural to think that icons to the files of the registered type (such as pdf, txt, doc, etc.), should be taken from the OS after installation. What I want: What I get: How to implement this? PS: Of course, I can get the pdf and txt icons from somewhere, add them to the VS project and set to the shortcuts, but I believe that there should be a better solution.

  • Differing form size between XP and 7

    I am developing a C# WinForms app on my XP dev machine with Visual C# Express 2008. I set the form to have a size of my liking with Width and Height on the designer and all looks good. I also set these dimensions to the MaximumSize property. Deploying the app to another XP machine, and the app looks like it does on my dev. However, in testing the app on a Win7 machine, the form has both horizontal and vertical scrollbars applied. I assume that this is due to the changed non-client size of the form, as determined by Win7. I can resize the window, but I would like it to be displayed correctly to begin with. So, my question is: What is the best way to correctly maintain a form size client area across OS'es? Thanks all.

    I have ItemRenderers that need to listen for events. When they hear an event (and when data changes), they dispatch an event with their current data value. As item renderers are reused, each of them is going to add its callback in set data(value...)and pass the callback function in the event as well as the current data value. So, the listener of the item renderer's bubbling event will set someEventDispatcher.addEventListener("someEvent", itemRendererEvent.callbackListener). This will happen more than once. Does setting the same event listener on the same event for the same dispatcher waste resources? Does the displatcher see that it already has the listener?
