The problem I'm having is that with the in-place editor, I just can't figure out how to set a custom display value.   is there any way to create one animation with ObjectAnimator to change the background of a View with a crossfade animation? Something like ObjectAnimator.ofObject(<myView.background>, <crossfade or fade in -fade out>, <resources_1>, <resources_2>); I know I can do a fade out of one image, set a listener to detect the end of the animation, and fade in the other image. I'd just like to know if there's a more elegant way... Thanks

  I'm playing around with URL schemes in my app. I easily made one to open my app, just adding the necessary items to info.plist. This current URL "myappname://" takes the user to the initial view controller, FirstTableViewController, but I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that URL scheme so it I can have one that takes the user to a certain view controller, such as ThirdTableViewController. I would use this as a handy feature in something like Launch Center.

  I hear a lot of Emacs users have their init file under git version control and sync the git repository over Dropbox, when they run Emacs on multiple systems. Why would you use git in this situation exactly? Usually checking which system you're on and which things to load and set depending on that can happen in one and the same init file for all systems, right? So, isn't it simply enough to put your init file in a Dropbox directory and load that one directly from Emacs then?

• Having two sets of input combined on hadoop

  I have a rather simple hadoop question which i'll try to present with an example say you have a list of strings and a large file and you want each mapper to process a piece of the file and one of the strings in a grep like program. how are you supposed to do that? I am under the impression that the number of mappers is a result of the inputsplits produced. I could run subsequent jobs, one for each string, but it seems kinda... messy?
