• inject a mockups to a bean that has @autowired annotations

  I have a bean that has a couple of beans injected with the autowire annotation (no qualifier). Now, for testing reasons I want to inject some mocks to the bean instead of the ones being autowired (some DAOs). Is there any way I can change which bean is being injected without modifying my bean? I don't like the idea of adding annotations my code just to test it and then remove then for production. I am using spring 2.5. • What is this obscure error in Google Analytics tracking code on a _trackEvent() call?

  I am calling the Google Analytics _trackEvent() function on a web page, and get back an error from the obfuscated Google code. In Firebug, it comes back "q is undefined". In Safari developer console: "TypeError: Result of expression 'q' [undefined] is not an object." As a test, I have reduced the page to only this call, and still get the error back. Besides the necessary elements and the standard Google tracking code, my page is: <script> pageTracker._trackEvent('Survey', 'Checkout - Survey', 'Rating', 3); </script> Results is that error. What's going on here?

  I am trying to detect a midair collision problem (simultaneous editin) using selenium. (eg. #FFAABB) But it can have multiple nulls. • How to use Page Object pattern with Cucumber and Webrat / Selenium?

  I'm looking at a cucumber test suite that is somewhat brittle right now; many small steps, and no knowledge of the page itself. I'd like to factor out the logic involved in the step definitions inside a series of Selenium PageObjects. As seen here. However, because I'm using Webrat and not Selenium, everything has to go through the Webrat model. So I cannot do class MyPage < Selenium::WebPage end because that adds a direct dependency. So I have to route everything through Webrat while still maintaining the Selenium Page object goodness. No documentation on this that I can see: if someone has anything on Webrat + PageModel I'd love to see it.

• Chnaging Displayed Image on a Webpage Using Javascript

  Hi all, I'm having some trouble changing an image being displayed on a page by way of a dropdown menu selection. This works fine.. getting the dropdown menu to give me an alert when I make a selection. Even though the menu is embedded within a division, paragraph, and label tag, it still works. "availableImages" is the name of my menu. function imageSelect() { var index = document.getElementById("myForm").availableImages.selectedIndex; var value = document.getElementById("myForm").availableImages.options[index].value; alert("test " + value); // alert box pops up upon list item selection } However, within the same division, I am having an issue with changing the source of my image tag... • Write data to an xml file.

  My aim is to write an XML file with few tags whose values are the regional language. I'm using Python to do this and using IDLE(Pythong GUI) for programming. While I try to write the words in an xmls file it gives the following error. UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 0-4: ordinal not in range(128) For now, I'm not using any xml writer library instead I'm opening a file "test.xml" and writing the data into it. This error is encountered by the line: f.write("\t\" + data + "\"). If I replace the above write statement with print statement then it prints the data properly on Python Shell. I'm reading the data from an excel file which is not in the UTF8,16, or 32 encoding formats. Its in some other format. cp1252 is reading the data properly. Any help in getting this data writtent oan xml would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bob

• In a digital photo, detecting if a mountain is obscured by clouds.

  The problem I have a collection of digital photos of a mountain in Japan. However the mountain is often obscured by clouds or fog. What techniques can I use to detect that the mountain is visible in the image? I am currently using Perl with the Imager module, but open to alternatives. All the images are taken from the exact same position - these are some samples. My naïve solution I started by taking several horizontal pixel samples of the mountain cone and comparing the brightness values to other samples from the sky. This worked well for differentiating good image 1 and bad image 2. However in the autumn it snowed and the mountain became brighter than the sky, like image 3, and my simple brightness test started to fail. Image 4 is an example of an edge case. I would classify this as a good image since some of the mountain is clearly visible.

  I'm looking for the best way to store per-Build configuration information for an iPhone app. In my iPhone app there are several url's and storage location settings that are specific to a particular build (DEBUG RELEASE etc) Currently i have three recipients for my app, QA/Test, myself and the customer, each has specific settings for the url's and storage locations mentioned above. whats the best way to do this? NOTE: they don't necessarily have to be defined in the build but what im looking for is advice on the best way to store alternate configuration settings. • Update frequency for dynamic favicons

  I wanted to learn how to dynamically update the favicon using the Google Chrome browser and I've noticed that the browser seems to throttle how often you can update the favicon per second and that sort of makes things look sloppy. The test page I've made for this is: http://staticadmin.com/countdown.html Which is simply a scrolling message displaying the results of a countdown. I added an input field to tweak how many pixels per second are moved by the script and I've eyeballed the max to be about 5 frames per second smoothly in Google Chrome and I have not tested it in any other browsers. My question is what is the maximum frequency, are there any ways to change, is there a particular reason behind it? NOTE: I've also noticed that this value changes based on window focus as well. It seems to drop to about 1 update per second when the browser's window isn't in focus and returns to "max" when you return.

  i am using movable type 4.23 (publishing system) and have been testing my site on a PC and discovered that internet explorer (IE) browsers are unable to view my site due to a conflict in the javascript of the signin widget (initially i thought it was in the mt.js file). i receive this error: "Error 80004004"...as well as in the Javascript itself: "Element is not an object" (or object is not an element?)... function mtUpdateSignInWidget(u) { var el = document.getElementById('signin-widget-content'); if i put in "id" where 'sign-widget-content' goes, it will say its not an object. all other browsers work perfectly (firefox, safari and opera on my mac and firefox on pc). if anyone wants a link to the test page, i can provide that... someone please help! thanks.

  Hello All, My Application is crashing due to low memory [ Received memory warning level 1 + 2] To trace this I have used Instrument and come with following points Test Enviorment : Single view controller added on Window When I don't use UIImageView Real Memory is used 3.66 MB When I uses UIImageView with Image having size 25 KB : Real Memory is used 4.24 MB. almost 560 KB extra when compare to w/o UIImageView and which keep on adding as I am adding more UIImageview on the view. below is sample code for adding UIImageview which I am refering UIImageView* iSplashImage = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"Default-Landscape.png"]]; iSplashImage.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 480); [self.window addSubview:iSplashImage]; AND dealloc if(iSplashImage) { [iSplashImage release]; iSplashImage = nil; } Issue is this 560 KB is not getting release and after some time application receives low memory warning. I'm trying this to match the first two just as a test: "/meadinkent/record/comp_div[.='" & comp_div & "'] and /meadinkent/record/sty_ret_type[.='" & sty_ret_type & "']" Which is failing, saying no nodes are returned.   Hello! I am stuck on the CSS part, am helping a friend to implement one thing on her webpage. Its a dropdown menu and i got everything working the way i want it to. My problem is that it moves itself to the beginning of the row? http://gazet.se/TestPages/Test.aspx Its just below the logo and as you can see, its on the correct line but not in the correct position (should be between the purple "Nyhetsbrev" and the black "Experthörnan"-images, but it ends up on the beginning of the row instead? Any ideas?

  we are building a template for our eBay listings. eBay allows users to upload a description as HTML code and allows that code to link your external CSS files. eBay displays the user's HTML code in an iframe, it looks like eBay calculates the height of your page on load and then and resizes the iframe according to that height.   Hi, I've come to learn that you cannot push a byte directly onto the Intel Pentium's stack, can anyone explain this to me please? The reason that I've been given is because the esp register is word-addressable (or, that is the assumption in our model) and it must be an "even address". I would have assumed decrementing the value of some 32-bit binary number wouldn't mess with the alignment of the register, but apparently I don't understand enough. I have tried some NASM tests and come up that if I declare a variable (bite db 123) and push it on to the stack, esp is decremented by 4 (indicating that it pushed 32-bits?). But, "push byte bite" (sorry for my choice of variable names) will result in a kind error: test.asm:10: error: Unsupported non-32-bit ELF relocation Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated during this troubled time. I am first year undergraduate so sorry for my naivety in any of this. Tim

  I have two tables: t_promo_program and t_promo_program_param. I'm at a loss for where to start looking for the source of the problem.

• Connecting to Python XML RPC from the Mac

  Hi, I wrote an XML RPC server in python and a simple Test Client for it in python. The Server runs on a linux box. I tested it by running the python client on the same linux machine and it works. I then tried to run the python client on a Mac and i get the following error socket.error: (61, 'Connection Refused') I can ping and ssh into the linux machine from the Mac. So i dont think its a configuration or firewall error. Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong?
