  Hi, I'd like to paint some Bezier curves with the alpha channel that is changing during the curve painting. Right now I'm able to draw bezier paths, with a fixed alpha channel. What I'd like to do is to draw a single bezier curve that uses a certain value of the alpha channel for the first n points of the path another, alpha value for the subsequent m points and so on. The code I'm using for drawing bezier path is: CGContextSetStrokeColorWithColor(context, curva.color.CGColor); .... CGContextAddCurveToPoint(context, cp1.x, cp1.y, cp2.x, cp2.y, endPoint.x, endPoint.y); .... CGContextStrokePath(context); Is there a way to achieve what I'm describing? Many thanks, Giovanni

  I have a proxy object generated by Visual Studio (client side) named ServerClient. I am attempting to set ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName/Password before opening up a new connection using this code: InstanceContext context = new InstanceContext(this); m_client = new ServerClient(context); m_client.ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName = "Sample"; As soon as the code hits the UserName line it fails with an "Object is read-only" error. I know this can happen if the connection is already open or faulted, but at this point I haven't called context.Open() yet. I have configured the Bindings (which uses netTcpBinding) to use Message as it's security mode, and MessageClientCredentialType is set to UserName. Any ideas?

  Hi All, I have an Entity model with Invoices, AffiliateCommissions and AffiliateCommissionPayments. Invoice to AffiliateCommission is a one to many, AffiliateCommission to AffiliateCommissionPayment is also a one to many I am trying to make a query that will return All Invoices that HAVE a commission but not necessarily have a related commissionPayment. I want to show the invoices with commissions whether they have a commission payment or not.   I have a service that accepts Xmla queries for Analysis services, often times those queries themselves will have a string that contains a fragment that looks something like {{[Time].[Year].[All]}} Recording these requests works fine but when I try to re-run the test I get an error from the test runner... Request failed: Exception occurred: There is no context parameter with the name ' [Time].[Year].[All]' in the WebTestContext This was confusing for some time but when I asked VS to generate a coded version of the test I was able to see the problem a bit better. VS searches for the '{{' and '}}' tokens and makes changes, considering those areas to refer to Context parameters, the code looks like this.Context["\n\t[Time].[Year].[All]"].ToString() Anyone know how to instruct Visual Studio to not perform this replacement operation? Or another way around this issue?

  I have a flex application in which I have a TabNavigator with multiple tabs and a datagrid in each of those tabs. I have bound s single array of data to each grid. What I want to do is to bind each grid with a particular set of data in that array i.e. to distribute array contents among grids based on data type. For example items starting with letter A could be displayed in first grid, B in second, starting with C in third and so on. Hence you can say alphabetically distribute the data on different grids. The problem is that the data will be added randomly by the user. To make one data array for each grid is not an option (due to design restrictions). Any suggestions please? Thanks in advance

  Hi everyone. I have a UITableView that has two modes. When we switch between the modes I have a different number of sections and cells per section. Ideally, it would do some cool animation when the table grows or shrinks. • Generate non-identity primary key

  My workplace doesn't use identity columns or GUIDs for primary keys. Instead, we retrieve "next IDs" from a table as needed, and increment the value for each insert. Unfortunatly for me, LINQ-TO-SQL appears to be optimized around using identity columns. So I need to query and update the "NextId" table whenever I perform an insert. For simplicity, I do this immediately creating the new object. Since all operations between creation of the data context and the call to SubmitChanges are part of one transaction, do I need to create a separate data context for retrieving next IDs? Each time I need an ID, I need to query and update a table inside a transaction to prevent multiple apps from grabbing the same value. Is a separate data context the only way, or is there something better I could try?

• Handling newline character in input between Windows and Linux

  I think this is a standard problem which may have been asked before but I could not get the exact answer so posting the issue. The issue is that our server is running on a linux box. We access the server over the browser on a window box to enter data into field which is supposed to contain multiple lines which user can enter by pressing the enter key after each line Abc Def GHI When this input field (this is a text area),is read on the linux machine, we want to split the data based on new line character. I had three question on this. Does the incoming data contain "\r\n" or "\n" If incoming data does contain "\r\n", the linux line.separator property (vm property) would not work for me as it would say "\n" and therefore may leave "\r" in the data. If "\r" is left in the data, if I open the file on a windows machine, will this mean a newline character? Finally can anyone tell me the standard way to deal with this issue?

  Hi Ok dealing with Partial Loops I want to do several things Perhaps pass in extra variables - seen it done like this echo $this-partialLoop('Loop.phtml', array('data' = $data, 'var1' = foo)); But this does not seem to work - I can not extra the data using $this-var $this-data-var or $data-var not sure how to access the data in the loop Sutotals for columns - need a way of resetting variables or passing in a default value - linked to the above I suppose ie $subtotal += rowTotal; In the view that calls the partial I would like to get access to the subtotal values generated so I can display these in another table below. Any help appreciated the docs on partialLoop seems incomplete. Ian

Great. But while doing some research for speeding up my database access, I ran into this blog post... Improving Entity Framework Performance The post argues that EFs poor performance compared to other frameworks is often due to the EntityConnection object being created each time a new EntityContext object is needed. To test this I manually created a static EntityConnection in Global.asax.cs Application_Start(). I then converted all my context using statements to using( MyObjContext currContext = new MyObjeContext(globalStaticEFConnection) { .... } This seems to have sped things up a bit without any errors so far as far as I can tell.   I'm doing a calculator. So I made my own Buttons with numbers and functions. The expression that has to be calculated, is in an EditText, because I want users can add numbers or functions also in the middle of the expression, so with the EditText I have the cursor. But I want to disable the Keyboard when users click on the EditText. • How should I handle incomplete packet buffers?

  I am writing a client for a server that typically sends data as strings in 500 or less bytes. However, the data will occasionally exceed that, and a single set of data could contain 200,000 bytes, for all the client knows (on initialization or significant events). However, I would like to not have to have each client running with a 50 MB socket buffer (if it's even possible). Each set of data is delimited by a null \0 character. What kind of structure should I look at for storing partially sent data sets? For example, the server may send ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUV\0WXYZ\0123!\0. I would want to process ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUV, WXYZ, and 123! independently. Also, the server could send ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890LOL123HAHATHISISREALLYLONG without the terminating character. I would want that data set stored somewhere for later appending and processing. Also, I'm using asynchronous socket methods (BeginSend, EndSend, BeginReceive, EndReceive) if that matters.

When I select a value from A, B is being populated accordingly using AJAX In the same page I have a button, that when pressed, posts the values of the selected items of the dropdownlists to another PHP page. • AsyncListViewAdapter + SimplePager, why is inactive pager clearing the table?

  I'm trying to make CellTable work together with AsyncListViewAdapter<T> and SimplePager<T>. The data gets displayed, but when the pager should be 'deaf' (meaning when all existing data are displayed) it still receives clicks and, more importantly, makes the displayed data go away. Instead of my data 'loading' indicator gets displayed, and it keep loading and loading... Obviously nothing gets loaded, as it doesn't even call the onRangeChanged handler. I went through the code-snippets in this thread, but I can't see anything suspicions on what I've been doing. Is there some obvious answer to a rookie mistake? • sqlite no such table

  can anyone please help. I've seen many people with the same problem and looked at all suggestions but still cannot get this to work. I have tried to unistall the application and install again, I have tried to change the version number and start again. I've debugged the code and it does go into the onCreate function, but when I go to make a select query it says the users table does not exist. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
