I have my Java site running under IIS 7. I need to install wordpress blog in it. I've installed and configured PHP in IIS. I have tested the PHP handler by creating a separate site, everything works fine, phpinfo() gives the desired output. However, I'm having problem running the PHP files inside my Java web application. I've put my test PHP file inside a folder called blog. When I access this folder in the browser as /mysite/blog I get a 404 page from my Java application. When I try to invoke the php page directly, http://mysite/blog/index.php, I get an unprocessed php page. I'm using isapi_handler for the reidrects. How do I tell my isapi_handler to ignore /blog folder? In my IIS handler mapping, *.php is mapped with Fast CGI. I'm not sure how to approach this problem and any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I want items which were POSTED to be selected after form was submited. How to do such thing? Floated element not included in parent, causing margin-bottom problems

Each one of these article divs needs to be separated from its siblings by 5px or so. However, the author div is extending beyond the technical "height" of the div. The margin-bottom is doing nothing, as the space is being taken up by the floated author. This is somewhat difficult to envision, so I've placed it on my web server Is there any way to force the parent to be at least as tall as all of the floated elements within? If anyone figures out what I'm saying, thanks.

Silverlight ClientAccessPolicy issue...I think

Fisrt of all I have my ClientAccessPolicy.xml file in the root of my website. If I access my website using the public domain name like this: h t t p://www.mydomain.com and then go to the page where my SL control is, I get the spinning % numbers up until about 98%, then it quits and my SL control does not appear on the page. If I access my website using the machine name (website is at datacenter, we have vpn setup) like this: h t t p://machinename and then go to the page where my SL control is everything works fine. this must be a ClientAccess Policy issue don't your think? Or what DO you thnik the issue is? Thanks in advance. IE7 modal dialog scrollbars overlap content

What's even worse, because it draws the scrollbar on top of the margin, it also causes a horizontal scrollbar to be drawn. How do I work around this? I absolutely must use the IE modal dialog, I'm not at liberty to change that.

Unable to pass variables from one view to another

I have a detail view that includes three UIButtons, each of which pushes a different view on to the stack. One of the buttons is connected to a MKMapView. When that button is pushed I need to send the latitude and longitude variables from the detail view to the map view. I'm trying to add the string declaration in the IBAction: - (IBAction)goToMapView { MapViewController *mapController = [[MapViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MapViewController" bundle:nil]; mapController.address = self.address; mapController.Title = self.Title; mapController.lat = self.lat; mapController.lng = self.lng; //Push the new view on the stack [[self navigationController] pushViewController:mapController animated:YES]; [mapController release]; mapController = nil; } But I get this when I try to build: 'error: incompatible types in assignment' for both lat and lng variables. So my questions are am I going about passing the variables from one view to another the right way? And does the MKMapView accept latitude and longitude as a string or a number?

My list view layout is similar to Pinterest, with absolutely positioned blocks. Unfortunately, this seems to require a full re-initialization at refresh. If reload only the store (as below) the new blocks are incorrectly positioned. How do I reload the app when the user clicks on refresh? How to make an AJAX call immediately on document loading

I want to execute an ajax call as soon as a document is loaded. What I am doing is loading a string that contains data that I will use for an autocomplete feature. This is what I have done, but it is not calling the servlet. I have removed the calls to the various JS scripts to make it clearer. Google Maps API v3 not working

I've been banging my head on the wall after going through the documentation on this several times! I can't seem to get past the API error to get the map to appear on my site. I am getting the following error message from the web page where I want the map to be displayed: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Google has disabled use of the Maps API for this application. The provided key is not a valid Google API Key, or it is not authorized for the Google Maps Javascript API v3 on this site. If you are the owner of this application, you can learn about obtaining a valid key here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial#Obtaining_Key ~~~~~~~~~~~ I have (several times now) gone into my account and 1) enabled the Maps v3 API service. 2) Generated a new API key. and 3) added my allowed referrers to the key. I need to display a pop with a UISwitch and a Done button when user taps on a button and save the state of the switch when the done button in the pop up is tapped. NSLog(@"Switch is on") : NSLog(@"Switch if off"); } } All this works great. I have problem with positioning. Unfortunately, I don't have a screen shot at the moment to post here. But the switch appears at the very top on the same line with the Action Sheet title and then below that is the Done button. Please someone help me how to position the switch below the Title and increase the Action Sheet size so it looks neat. I need this asap. Thanks.

Is it possible to guarantee a unique id for multiple items using the same id variable at a point in

First of all, do not be overwhelmed by the long code, I just put it for reference...I have a function that preg_replaces content and puts it in a jquery dialog box with a matching open-link. For example, if there is a paragraph with two matches, they will be put inside two divs, and a jquery dialog function will be echoed twice; one for each div. While this works for one match, if there are multiple matches, it does not. I am not sure how to distribute unique ids at a point in time for each of the divs and matching dialog open-scripts. Keep in mind, I removed the preg replace function since it kind of complicates the problem. What are the arguments against the inclusion of server side scripting in JavaScript code blocks?

I've been arguing for some time against embedding server-side tags in JavaScript code, but was put on the spot today by a developer who seemed unconvinced The code in question was a legacy ASP application, although this is largely unimportant as it could equally apply to ASP.NET or PHP (for example). The example in question revolved around the use of a constant that they had defined in ServerSide code. 'VB Const MY_CONST: MY_CONST = 1 If sMyVbVar = MY_CONST Then 'Do Something End If //JavaScript if (sMyJsVar === "<%= MY_CONST%>"){ //DoSomething } My standard arguments against this are: Script injection: The server-side tag could include code that can break the JavaScript code Unit testing. Harder to isolate units of code for testing Code Separation : We should keep web page technologies apart as much as possible. The reason for doing this was so that the developer did not have to define the constant in two places. They reasoned that as it was a value that they controlled, that it wasn't subject to script injection. This reduced my justification for (1) to "We're trying to keep the standards simple, and defining exception cases would confuse people" The unit testing and code separation arguments did not hold water either, as the page itself was a horrible amalgam of HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, CSS, XML....you name it, it was there. No code that was every going to be included in this page could possibly be unit tested. So I found myself feeling like a bit of a pedant insisting that the code was changed, given the circumstances. Are there any further arguments that might support my reasoning, or am I, in fact being a bit pedantic in this insistence?

How to disable server-side caching on IIS 7.5 (asp net mvc3)

I'm struggling with my IIS setup regarding caching, here's a brief description of my problem: I'm making a site for mobile and non-mobile, sharing the same controllers. IE: mysite/page will serve either mysite/page.cshtml, or mysite/M/page.cshtml, depending on the device. Here's the catch, it worked fine with my local and integration environment (cassiini and iis 6), but on another machine (2008r2/iis 7.5), apparently there is an aggressive server-side caching policy: If I access the website from a desktop machine, I have the correct pages (desktop version) If now I use my mobile phone to access the site, I will have the desktop version, (which implies a server-side cache, my phone is not using the same network). On the contrary, if I were to restart the server and access the site using my phone first, then I will get the mobile version on my desktop (only for the pages I already visited of course). I tried 2 solutions so far: Disabling OutputCache from my Web.config: <httpModules> [..] <remove name="OutputCache" /> </httpModules> And unchecking "Enable output cache" in "Output Caching" for my site in IIS. What's bugging me is that I do not have this problem with my other server (iis 6.0), although caching is enabled on this one, which leads me to think it is related to iis 7 caching addition. My question is simple: how does one disable server-side caching on IIS 7.5? Thanks in advance for your iis lights!

Today, i created an iframe-Tab on our Facebook Page as a landingpage. On this tab we display a video, implemented from Facebook. Open a dialog box in same window on selectOneMenu change

I have a jsf page where I have a selectOneMenu and , I want to open a dialog box on selectOneMenu changes. As a example if user selects a value ="passive" from jsf selectOneMenu it should open a dialog box or a light box on same page where I want to display a small jsf form like as here done. http://www.primefaces.org/showcase-labs/ui/dialogLogin.jsf and I also want save that submitted data in my backing bean somewhere so I can store it in to database later. I dont know how to open a dialog box or light box from backing bean in same window,as we will identify value change using valueChangeListener event or by using ajax event. Is www.example.com/post/21/edit a RESTful URI? I think I know the answer, but have another question.

I'm almost afraid to post this question, there has to be an obvious answer I've overlooked, but here I go: Context: I am creating a blog for educational purposes (want to learn python and web.py). I've decided that my blog have posts, so I've created a Post class. I've also decided that posts can be created, read, updated, or deleted (so CRUD). So in my Post class, I've created methods that respond to POST, GET, PUT, and DELETE HTTP methods). So far so good. The current problem I'm having is a conceptual one, I know that sending a PUT HTTP message (with an edited Post) to, e.g., /post/52 should update post with id 52 with the body contents of the HTTP message. What I do not know is how to conceptually correctly serve the (HTML) edit page. Will doing it like this: /post/52/edit violate the idea of URI, as 'edit' is not a resource, but an action? On the other side though, could it be considered a resource since all that URI will respond to is a GET method, that will only return an HTML page? So my ultimate question is this: How do I serve an HTML page intended for user editing in a RESTful manner?
