• Questions about openid and dotnetauthentication

  Hi I am looking into openid and dotnetauthentication library. However I still go some outstanding questions. the id that comes back is that unique for each user? Can I store this id in a database as the userId(currently this field is a primary key and unique identifier) I read that you can try to request information such as email address but you may not give it to you. What happens if you need this information? I think it kinda sucks if I have to popup another field right away and ask for their email address and whatever else fields I need. Sort of seems to defeat the purpose a bit as I always considered a benefit of openid is that you don't have to fill out registration forms. Is it better to only have some predefined choices(google,yahoo,openid,facebook). Then letting them type in their own ones(ie gray out the field to let them type in a url). I am thinking of this because it goes back to point number 2 if they type in a provider that does not give me the information that I need I am then stuck. How do you a log person out? Do you just kill the form authentication ticket?

  I like to display textView when there are no items in the listView whereas the textView will not display when there are items in the listView. My problem is even there are items in the listView, the textView still will be displayed in a short time and then load the items into listView. So, how to make the TextView invisible when there are items in listView?   I am trying to do a CORS call to a WCF service endpoint hosted on IIS7.5. I have configured custom headers in IIS.   I am receiving this exception in LogCat every time I press the Back button in my app: Activity has leaked ServiceConnection com.android.vending.licensing.LicenseChecker@471cc039 that was originally bound here The code responsible for this leak in onCreate() is: mLicenseCheckerCallback = new MyLicenseCheckerCallback(); mChecker.checkAccess(mLicenseCheckerCallback); How do I get rid of this leak? I tried not assigning MyLicenseCheckerCallback to a member, thinking perhaps when the activity goes onPause() the reference to the callback is responsible for the leak: mChecker.checkAccess(new MyLicenseCheckerCallback()); But that didn't get rid of the leak. • Detect Application Shutdown in C# NET?

  I am writing a small console application (will be ran as a service) that basically starts a Java app when it is running, shuts itself down if the Java app closes, and shuts down the Java app if it closes. I think I have the first two working properly, but I don't know how to detect when the .NET application is shutting down so that I can shutdown the Java app prior to that happening. Google search just returns a bunch of stuff about detecting Windows shutting down. • Compiling scalafx for Java 7u7 (that contains JavaFX 2.2) on OS X

  The compilation instructions of scalafx says to do: export JAVAFX_HOME=/Path/To/javafx-sdk2.1.0-beta sbt clean compile package make-pom package-src However, with the new packaging of JavaFX as part of the Java JDK itself (i.e. 7u7 for OS X) there no longer seems to be such a 'javafx-sdkx.x.x' folder. The Oracle docs say that JavaFX JDK is placed alongside the main Java JDK (in same folders). So I do: $ export JAVAFX_HOME=/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_07.jdk $ sbt clean [warn] Using project/plugins/ (/Users/asko/Sources/scalafx/project/plugins) for plugin configuration is deprecated. • The Function Works But Reports this.refresh() is not a function

  I get this.refresh() is not a function in the error log every time I use this function but it works fine. Also, when I click on this function for the first time, this.value=undefined. When I click the function again in this form and every other form, the value populates just fine with the previous value. What could I be doing wrong? How do I write this function more efficiently? I still don't quite understand how to use this.value to capture and store a value within an array. UITableView (MyMainEntity) UITableView (MyEntity) UITableView (MyEntity) detail view Both MyMainEntity UITableView and MyEntity UITableView use NSFetchedResultsController to show the records. Sometimes it crashes when i'm scrolling the tableView, and sometimes it crashes when i try to open the detail view. I can navigate to the MyEntity detail view multiple times before application crashes. What does this error mean? and how can i fix it!?

• Data structure to build and lookup set of integer ranges

  I have a set of uint32 integers, there may be millions of items in the set. 50-70% of them are consecutive, but in input stream they appear in unpredictable order. I need to: Compress this set into ranges to achieve space efficient representation. Already implemented this using trivial algorithm, since ranges computed only once speed is not important here. After this transformation number of resulting ranges is typically within 5 000-10 000, many of them are single-item, of course. Test membership of some integer, information about specific range in the set is not required. This one must be very fast -- O(1). Was thinking about minimal perfect hash functions, but they do not play well with ranges. Bitsets are very space inefficient. Other structures, like binary trees, has complexity of O(log n), worst thing with them that implementation make many conditional jumps and processor can not predict them well giving poor performance. Is there any data structure or algorithm specialized in integer ranges to solve this task?

When I print the $code variable, I am getting 256. • Looking for: nosql (redis/mongodb) based event logging for Django

  I'm looking for a flexible event logging platform to store both pre-defined (username, ip address) and non-pre-defined (can be generated as needed by any piece of code) events for Django. I'm currently doing some of this with log files, but it ends up requiring various analysis scripts and ends up in a DB anyway, so I'm considering throwing it immediately into a nosql store such as MongoDB or Redis. The idea is to be easily able to query, for example, which ip address the user most commonly comes from, whether the user has ever performed some action, lookup the outcome for a specific event, etc. Is there something that already does this? If not, I'm thinking of this: The "event" is a dictionary attached to the request object. Middleware fills in various pieces (username, ip, sql timing), code fills in the rest as needed. After the request is served a post-request hook drops the event into mongodb/redis, normalizing various fields (eg. incrementing the username:ip address counter) and dropping the rest in as is. Words of wisdom / pointers to code that does some/all of this would be appreciated.

• Migrating MachineKey from iis6 on old server to iis7 on new server

  I am migrating our hosting environment to a totally new data center with new boxes and hardware and software... the whole deal. Our website cookies are encrypted using the machineKey, so when I make a request to my domain and point it to the new web server (by overriding the local hosts file), I get an error because the cookie cannot be decrypted, since the Machine Key is different. I'd like to avoid any problems a frequent user might have when they arrive at the new server for the first time. To the best of my knowledge, at this point I think I need to set the same MachineKey from our current servers on our new servers. This way when past visitors with a cookie arrive at our website served by the new server, the cookie will be decrypted properly with the MachineKey it was encrypted with and then log them in properly. My question is where do I find my MachineKey value (in IIS 6 win2k3 server) so I can use that value to set it statically on my new servers? I've pulled up my machine.config file, but it doesn't specify the key, it only specifies a configSection where the key can be defined. It's not in my web.config for the app or elsewhere. I did find this great article on some MachineKey and Web Garden woes (which could explain some other bugs I've been experiencing with regard to the machineKey). Update I am back to this issue and am still faced with a similar problem. I have the MachineKey auto-generated on the IIS6 server but I need to get that exact key so I can set it explicitly and not have it auto-generated anymore. Any help is appreciated...

• Silverlight logging out causes "Object reference not set to an instance"

  I am using the Silverlight 4 Business Application Template. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I assume that because I've logged out, User.UserLoginID is now null and is causing the exception. So... anybody know a good way for me to solve this? I don't really want to set the QueryParameter programmatically.

• Preventing a child process (HandbrakeCLI) from causing the parent script to exit

  I have a batch conversion script to turn .mkvs of various dimensions into ipod/iphone sized .mp4s, cropping/scaling to suit. Determining the original dimensions, required crop, output file is all working fine. However, on successful completion of the first conversion, HandbrakeCLI causes the parent script to exit. • How would I authenticate against a local windows user on another machine in an ASP.NET application?

  In my ASP.NET application, I need to be able to authenticate/authorise against local Windows users/groups (ie. not Active Directory) on a different machine, as well as be able to change the passwords of said remote local Windows accounts. Yes, I know Active Directory is built for this sort of thing, but unfortunately the higher ups have decreed it needs to be done this way (so authentication against users in a database is out as well). I've tried using DirectoryEntry and WinNT like so: DirectoryEntry user = new DirectoryEntry(String.Format("WinNT://{0}/{1},User", serverName, username), username, password, AuthenticationTypes.Secure) but this results in an exception when you try to log in more than one user: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. I've tried making sure my DirectoryEntries are used inside a using block, so they're disposed properly, but this doesn't seem to fix the issue. Plus, even if that did work it is possible that two users could hit that line of code concurrently and therefore try to create multiple connections, so it would be fragile anyway. Is there a better way to authenticate against local Windows accounts on a remote machine, authorise against their groups, and change their passwords? Thanks for your help in advance.

• IIS 6.0 Rewrite rules for Wordpress (Forward slash not working and other things)

  Hi, I am using Wordpress 3.0.4 on IIS 6.0 and Windows Server 2003, hosted by a company. I was having lots of issues using permalinks. I have fixed most, but now I have an issue with a forward-slash not being added to the address. This would be fine on most websites, but not on IIS for some reason. Specifically, if I go to "mysite.com/wp-admin" I can log-in and get to the dashboard, but as soon as I click anything there i am redirected to a broken link. For example: "mysite.com/post-new.php". If I add the slash at the end it's fine. So I tried to have a rewrite rule to automatically add the slash to such address: RewriteRule /wp-admin /wp-admin/ [L] But it still doesn't work.   Hi all, I have a mapped entity wich has an enum property. By loking at log file, whenever I run a select statement on such entity, the result is an immediately following update. For example if my result set contains 100 records, then I have: [INFO org... select...] [INFO org... update... where id=?] [INFO org... update... where id=?] .... repeated 100 times If I mark the property as update=false the problem disappear. The enum is assigned trough an enum converter class, which I copied from a well known book. So I don't know if I just copy and paste the code. I am able to send the file as a GMail attachment. The following file name is working fine: /storage/sdcard0/myapp/transfer/Net worth over time _ Forecast (2012-11-19 11070).pdf I tried the following troubleshooting: It's not the overall length of the file name, as if I shorten the base name, the same behavior remains It's not GMail, uploading the file to Google Drive fails similarly 16 characters inside the parentheses work, but not 17 It's not the space character inside the parentheses that causes the issue, as I replaced it with a dash and it's the same problem. Anybody has any ideas on what's going on here?

  Hello, I am trying to understand how to use Zend_DB in my program but I have some problem. The class below (DatabaseService) work when I pass it a simple query. However, if I pass it it query with a join clause my page just hangs and not error is return. • When do Symfony's user attributes get written to session?

  I have a Symfony app that populates the "widgets" of a portal application and I'm noticing something (that seems) odd. The portal app has iframes that make calls to the Symfony app. On each of those calls, a random user key is passed on the query string. The Symfony app stores that key its session using myUser->setAttribute(). If the incoming value is different from what it has in session, it overwrites the session value. In pseudo-code (and applying a synchronous nature for clarity even though it may not exist): # Widget request arrives with ?foo=bar if the user attribute 'foo' does not equal 'bar' overwrite the user attribute 'foo' with 'bar' end What I'm noticing is that, on a portal page with multiple widgets (read: multiple requests coming in more or less simultaneously) where the value needs to be overwritten, each request is trying to overwrite. Is this a timing problem? When I look at the log prints, I'd expect the first request that arrives to overwrite and subsequent requests to see that the user attribute they received matches what was just put into cache by the initial request. In this scenario, it could be that subsequent requests begin (and are checked) even before the first one--the one that should overwrite the cached value--has completely finished. Are session values not really available to subsequent requests until one request has completed entirely or could there be something else that I'm missing? Thanks.

• Using map() on a _set in a template?

[87.0, 87.5, 88.5, 90] So my question is this, is there any way I can achieve the same effect using Django's _set functionality to keep the amount of data I'm passing into the template, up until now I've been passing in a single KPI object to be graphed but now I want to pass in a whole bunch so is there anything I can do with _set {{ kpi.kpihistory_set }} dumps the whole model out, but I just want the measure field. I can't see any of the built in template methods that will let me pull out just the single field I want. How have other people handled this situation?
