  I'm working within a skin for a button that has some <s:State> normal over In the tag, I'm drawing a circle private var theshape:Sprite; private function drawShape():void { theshape = new Sprite(); theshape.graphics.beginFill(0x666666); theshape.graphics.drawCircle(3,5,10); theshape.graphics.endFill(); //i then add it to a Spite Visual Element that's defined in mxml canv.addChild(theshape); } This works fine, until I try to control under which states that canv SpriteVisualElement appears. If I just add an includeIn like this <s:SpriteVisualElement id="canv" includeIn="over" /> I get a run-time error TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. Any ideas what the problem is, or a different way I can accomplish the same thing. What I need is to simply include the circle in the button when it's in the hover state.

  Okay, so I have classes class B<T> : A<T> class L : K and a method void Method(A<K> a) {...} What I would like to do is this b = new B<L>(); Method(b); //error But it is not possible to b to the correct type. Indeed it is not possible to make this cast A<K> t = new A<L>(); //error I would really like to not have to change the internals of Method. I have no problems making changes to B and/or L. Do I have any options for making some sort of workaround? I guess it should be possible for Method to execute all of its method calls etc. on b, since B derives from A and L derives from K?

• Factorising program not working. Help required.

  I am working on a factorisation problem using Fermat's Factorization and for small numbers it is working well. I've been able to calculate the factors (getting the answers from Wolfram Alpha) for small numbers, like the one on the Wikipedia page (5959). Just when I thought I had the problem licked I soon realised that my program was not working when it came to larger numbers. The program follows through the examples from the Wikipedia page, printing out the values a, b, a2 and b2; the results printed for large numbers are not correct. I've followed the pseudocode provided on the Wikipedia page, but am struggling to understand where to go next. Along with the Wikipedia page I have been following this guide. Once again, as my Math knowledge is pretty poor I cannot follow what I need to do next. Therefore when my method under test adds an event handler to _mockedService.ServiceHandler.OnMessageReceived, I get an 'Object reference not set' error. How can I ensure that ServiceHandler is assigned a value in the mocked IService instance? This is likely Rhino Mocks 101, but I'm just getting up to speed on it...

  Hello community i have a big problem. i implemented an NSAlert in the viewDidLoad() of my app: UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:title message:alertMessage delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:ok otherButtonTitles:nil]; But the Alert pops up for 3 times, and then i can klick on it. Could it be that the viewDidLoad() starts for 3 times? What's going on and how can I fix it? We're on ASP.NET 2.0, and I'm using http://stackoverflow.com/questions/549016/user-impersonation-with-asp-net-forms-authentication as a guide. UPDATE: It appears that the user actually is impersonated successfully but is loosing their Role as admin (only Admin Role's can access this impersonation page).

  I return empty collections vs. null whenever possible. I switch between two methods for doing so using java.util.Collections: return Collections.EMPTY_LIST; return Collections.emptyList(); where emptyList() is supposed to be type-safe. But I recently discovered: return Collections.<ComplexObject> emptyList(); return Collections.<ComplexObject> singletonList(new ComplexObject()); etc. I see this method in Eclipse Package Explorer: <clinit> () : void but I don't see how this is done in the source code (1.5). How is this magic tomfoolerie happening!!
