  • Java mouse motion anywhere on screen

    I'm sure this is possible but all my searching is coming up blank. In Java is it possible to register for a mouse motion event outside of a Java app? So if the mouse pointer moves anywhere on the screen I get a call back. An approximation is possible with polling MouseInfo.getPointerInfo but there must be a better way. Thanks

    You know how in Firefox, if something happens that requires your attention but isn't immediately urgent enough to require a modal dialog, it will drop down a little strip at the top of the tab with a question on it? I'd like to be able to put functionality like that in a Delphi app, but I don't know if there's a component for that. Does anyone know of one?

  • Combine two content encodings sections in a single page

    I developed a web application that allows users to modify existing web pages. When a user type a url of an existing web page, I read the content of this page and using an ajax call, i display the content in a div inside my web application. Now my problem is that often the content encoding of the existing web page is different than my web app (I use utf-8) Is there a way to load content using an ajax call with different content encoding than the one of the main page?   • Prevent PowerPoint from pausing when focus is lost

    I've written an app that allows me to start multiple PowerPoint presentations, each on its own monitor (this particular config has 4 monitors). The problem I have now is that only the presentation that has focus has any animation. The other 3 pause until they receive focus via mouse click. Is there any way to keep this pause behavior from happening? (trick PowerPoint into thinking that all 4 retain focus, or anything else to accomplish 4 simultaneously animated presentations...)

    I am looking to use ogg vorbis, instead of mp3s to stream audio. It seems that Flash player does not natively support ogg. Is there a codec engine that can be embedded with the app itself that can play .ogg instead of .mp3? In general, what would be a better format than mp3 for streaming audio and that is supported by Flash?

I've create the database from my DMBL using DataContext.CreateDatabase() (not the other way around, as I found out to be the more common scenario later) I there a facility in LINQ in which I can update my SQL database scheme?

  • gtk2 auto translation is choosing the wrong language

    Not sure if yall can help this time, as I'm just using this particular program not coding with it... I downloaded Deluge, a free torrent app, and it requires GTK2 Runtime which I've also installed. Unfortunately, on my English WinXP with East Asian Language support Deluge sets itself to Chinese menus and has no option to alter the language. A bit of poking around on the internet suggests this is due to GTK2 selecting the wrong default language. Does anyone know how I can override this?

    Hi there, Just built myself a mvvmlight app and if i press f5 TO COMPILE and run all works ok, it displays the wpf window but if i do a BUILD i get an error Error 1 The target "RunCodeAnalysis" does not exist in the project. I am using the visual studio 2010 professional version RTM The only thing i see strange is the target framework which is set to .NET framework 4 client profile Anybody know why this happens??

    The guys at the top want sort order to be customizable in our app. So I have a table that effectively defines the data type. What is the best way to store our sort order. If I just created a new column called 'Order' or something, every time I updated the order of one row I imagine I would have to update the order of every row to ensure posterity. I can create a text file with this information, but we need design time support as well, and it is not practical to have a connection string in every App.Config and Web.config file in the solution.     Hi folks, I'm trying to run an app from a remote X session (Ubuntu, 9.04) on a handheld device powered by Windows Mobile. I want to do this by running an X-server of some description on the mobile device and using SSH/PocketPuTTY or similar for a tunnel, as you'd do it on a standard PC/Mac. Can anyone pls. point me in the direction of some X servers for Windows Mobile, if they exist? Having a hard time finding them. Cheers
