• Toggled() text input field not working in IE6 in Jquery 1.3.2

  In IE6 after showing() or toggling() an initially hidden text input field it is impossible to enter any text in the box. It is also impossible to focus() on the element. I am using jquery 1.3.2 Here is the code... • [Android] Text inserted in the edittext is overwritten

  Hello.. I'm a beginner and am making a calculator (fairly easy), but it's happening the following problem: When Cline in "1" button for example, he enters this number in the EditText, but if you click again the number is overwritten instead of the inserted his side as desired. How do the numbers were placed side by side without overwriting those already there? Note: The layout of buttons and etc. I did in. XML, so I'm not using the keyboard native Android. Thanks!

• aspx page gives viewstate error

  Hi, I have a simple aspx page with one grid view. When deployed on server, and accessed through that machine, it works fine. However, when connected through load balancer, we get this error ( when click on any button). The page however refreshes when pressed F5. Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster. Any idea what is happening here???

• Force reload/refresh when pressing the back button

  I will try my best to explain this. I have an application that show the 50+ projects in my view page. The user can click the individual project and go to the update page to update the project information. Everything works fine except that after user finish updating the individual project information and hit 'back' button on the browser to the previous view page. The old project information (before update) is still there. The user has to hit refresh to see the updated information. It not that bad, but I wish to provide better user experience. Any idea to fix this? Thanks a lot.

• 404 on custom post types after updating Wordpress to 3.7

  Since I updated Wordpress from 3.6 to 3.7, I'm not able to visit the single-pages on my custom post types, then I get a 404 error. I thought this would be a rewrite_rules issue, so I've tried the following: -Go to the Permalink settings, click save (flush rewrites) -Manually deleted the rewrite_rules from the option table in the DB (I was desparate, and it seriously worked for me one time) -Re-check my .htaccess, but this is the exactly same as instructed on the permalink page -switched off the plugins I also tried switching the permalink to the "ugly" url (eg. ?page=35) and check if the articles worked, and they did! So I'm pretty sure it's a permalink issue. Now I rolled back to 3.6 again, but I of course want to upgrade in the near future (security etc.). A remarkable thing was that during the rollback I checked out a single page (notice that I didn't rolled back the database yet, only the files) and surprisingly they worked again. Any suggestions on how to solve this?

• Automating Firefox configuration settings

  Hi All, During web development work, I need to be able to quickly switch various config settings in Firefox. In particular I need to be able to: 1) Switch off cookies 2) Switch off javascript 3) Switch my user agent (I have the user-agent switcher add-on installed) and then back again. Instead of doing this manually, it would be great if i could add a "macro" button to my toolbar that I could simply click to toggle the three settings above. Anyone know if this is possible? Btw - Firefox Profiles doesn't really cut it. You can't dynamically switch profiles within a specific Firefox instance, which I need to be able to do. Btw2 - I got excited when i saw Greasemonkey, Chicken Foot, but it looks like these can only automate browsing/DOM tasks, and not with firefox configuration settings. Thanks Richard.

  I have a data input module where I add the information of my product and its sub information like: product basic info product price info product price details price info and price details are related to product and are lists In my web forms approach I would store my main product object on the view state and I would populate it's pricing info and details while doing ajax postbacks. This way I can create a compact module that is very user friendly in terms of defining a lot of data from one place without the need to enter these data from seperate modules. And when I am done I would do one product.save() and that would persist all the data to the respective tables on db. Now I am building similar app on .net mvc framework and pondering on what would be the good way of handling this on mvc. I don't resonate towards storing all this on client side till I click save. And saving to the db after each action makes me remember the days I was coding on asp. Will appreciate your inputs on ways to approach this on mvc framework

  I have an Asp.NET 3.5 application with security/authentication. I have a second application (built using GWT and running on Windows Tomcat) running on a different machine. I need to make the second application available to the user via a link generated from the .NET application. This part is easy, I have constructed the link in the asp.net page and the user can click on it to start working in the GWT/Tomcat session. My question is this... How do I set it up so that the Tomcat/GWT application is Only Accessible via the link in my asp.NET application? I don't want the user to be able to copy the link from my asp.net page and then share that with someone else who is not authenticated within my asp.net application.

• Call load using a div id that has been passed into a function, div id is a parameter

  I am dynamically creating divs within a jquery accordion that are loaded with data as when the user clicks on the accordion title. I have this all working except that when I pass the div id into the load details method, the call to .load() does not work. What can I do to fix this? It seems like a simple javascript string eval would work but I can not find what I am looking for. Code: Here is the basic function: function loadDetails(div_id) { var load_string = "ajax/get_details.aspx"; $(div_id).load(load_string); } This function is called correctly on the click event and the div_id is passed in correctly but the load function is not working.   action: User/Details View: Details In my 'Details' view, a user can click on an actionlink that goes to the action :User/UserBehavior From which I again return a "Details" View. the url shows http://User/UserBehavior If I return redirectToAction to the Details action, I still get the "UserBehavior" action in the url. how do I redirect and present the new url of the action? isnt that the way its supposed to be?   I'm writing some backend script for a twitter app and heres how it's going On the app you click a button that sends you to login.php on my server which logs into my database connects to twitter with my consumer key and secret: $to = new TwitterOAuth($consumer_key, $consumer_secret); $tok = $to->getRequestToken(); $request_link = $to->getAuthorizeURL($tok); and then writes the token and secret to the database, sets a session equal to the id in the database of the token and secret and then redirects to the "$request_link" You then go through the process of logging in and such on twitter and it redirects you to callback.php on my server Callback.php consists of logging into the database again, getting the new token and secret, and then writing the new token and secret to the database and then prompts you to go back to the app Then on the app, all I'm trying to do is access the basic credentials$to->get('account/verify_credentials') and it keeps coming back "could not authenticate you" What am I doing wrong??   Is it possible to use a flash document embedded in HTML as a link? I tried just wrapping the object element with an a like this: <a href="http://whatever.com"> <object ...> <embed ... /> </object> </a> In Internet Explorer, that made it show the location in the status bar like a link, but it doesn't do anything. I just have the .swf file, so I can't add a click handler in ActionScript.

• Controling the visibility of a Bitmap in .NET

  Hi everyone, I am trying to create this simple application in c#: when the user double clicks on specific location in the form, a little circle will be drawn. By one click, if the current location is marked by a circle - the circle will be removed. I am trying to do this by simply register the MouseDoubleClick and MouseClick events, and to draw the circle from a .bmp file the following way: private void MouseDoubleClick (object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { Graphics g = this.CreateGraphics(); Bitmap myImage = (Bitmap)Bitmap.FromFile("Circle.bmp"); g.DrawImage(myImage, e.X, e.Y); } My problem is that I dont know how to make the circle unvisible when the user clicks its location: I know how to check if the selected location contains a circle (by managing a list of all the locations containig circles...), but I dont know how exactly to delete it. Another question: should I call the method this.CreateGraphics() everytime the user double-clicks a location, as I wrote in my code snippet, or should I call it once on initialization?

• jQuery mobile swipe spamming and animation

  I have say 5 list items with images inside placed 200px from eachother. I am trying to animate these list items to slide horizontally left if one presses a link with the id = #next or if one swipes left. And vice versa for sliding the list items right. Every click or swipe results in a slide animation of 200px on every list item. I ran into a problem where spamming the #next or #prev button would cancel the current animation and start a new one. This results in list items not sliding 200px+200px+200... but something like this 200px+140px+120... This because like I said the animation is cut and therefore the sliding distance will be shorter. Now I solved this for the clicking event by disabling the button before the animation starts and then re'enabling it on the end callbak function. But this problem is remaining for the swipe event. How can I solve this problem for the swipe event?

  Hi friends, I have a button, while clicking the button i just produce a div containing some checkbox. If the user select the required checkbox, it will produce a iframe according to the value of the checkbox and the div will disappear. Its placed immediately below the button. Up to this its working fine. If the user again click the button, the droping div is comes behind the frame. Please help me to make it visible above the frame. • How do you get the File:// protocol to work in IE8?

  I am running a website on my local machine ("http://localhost/asdf") and trying to get some file:// protocol links to work. In reality I'm trying to open a folder, not a specific file, but I can't get either to work. I've put localhost in my "trusted zone", I've tried every combo of "file" ,":", some number of "/" and then a whole bunch of different paths, but encoded and not encoded. Nothing I do causes anything to open when I click on the link. If I copy the link destination, and paste that in the browser address window, then it works as expected. Anyone know the secret?
