Unable to install Xdebug

I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? Problem installing PyQt4 on Windows 7

I have a problem installing PyQt4. I have Windows 7 with Python 3.1.2 installed. When I execute the PyQt-Py3.1-gpl-4.7.3-2.exe it shows the warning: This copy of PyQt has been built against Python v3.1 which doesn't seem to be installed. Do you wish to continue with the installation? Why the installer can't see my python installtion???, I set the PYTHONHOME env variable and added python to the PATH variable but is always the same warn. I don't know if the last .2 in my python's version is the problem. If I ignore the warning and install the PyQt, when I try to run the Examples and Demos from the All Programs menu it doesn't show anything. Im new to python and Qt, I don't know how to debug or something to solve this problem =S

Cannot build/create dll in Visual Studio because of admin rights??

I have local admin rights on the PC I am using - but some things are not allowed i.e. I can't right click on My Computer and see the properties! Anyway I was trying to build my solution in Visual Studio - I just added a simple class library with barely any code in it and it won't build, it gives the error: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.Common.targets(3019,9): error MSB3216: Cannot register assembly "C:\Documents and Settings\fooUser\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\FooSolution\Foo.Bar\bin\Debug\Foo.Bar.Utility.dll" - access denied. Please make sure you're running the application as administrator. Access to the registry key 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Record' is denied. I take it I need FULL admin rights?? - although the project did compile before I made this class library - so I dont' understand why the addition of this library has had such a drastic effect now!

What I have? I have a ASP.NET page deployed in layouts folder of 12 hive in SharePoint. This page makes use of Accordion control in AjaxControlToolkit.dll V3.5.40412.2. I have placed the page code behind class assembly and AjaxControlToolkit.dll in Virtual Directory bin folder. What I want? I want to load this page when a link clicked from a web part for users of "Visitors" site group when the DLLs are placed in virtual directory bin folder. What problem am I facing? The page loads properly for administrator. But, for "Visitors", it shows "The website declined to show this webpage" error message. In these scenarios the page works fine for "Visitors": If I place both the assemblies in GAC If I give Everyone read permission to AjaxControlToolkit.dll (in bin) Am I missing something here?

I am using logback/slf4j to handle logging in my application. Everything was working perfectly until I started using EJBs. Once I added a stateless EJB to my app, the logger started ignoring my logback.xml and stopped using my appenders. I switched to a programmatic logger configuration to see what was wrong and now I am getting the following error when I try to use my logger within the EJB: org.slf4j.impl.JDK14LoggerFactory cannot be cast to ch.qos.logback.classic.LoggerContext stemming from the line: LoggerContext lc = (LoggerContext) LoggerFactory.getILoggerFactory(); Is there any special configuration necessary to get logback to work with EJBs? Can't get msbuild.exe path correct with Hudson's MSBuild plugin

I have the msbuild plugin installed on my Hudson server, and it's attempting to execute the command, but for some reason the path I'm setting in my configuration is not being used when the msbuild task gets fired. I have the following set in the configuration of hudson's msbuild plugin: Path To msbuild.exe C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\msbuild.exe I left the name property blank. When I do a build it outputs this: Executing command: cmd.exe /C msbuild.exe /p:Configuration=Release ... Which I know is wrong because all the other examples show the [msbuild.exe] part fully qualified. I've been searching everywhere trying to figure out why this isn't getting set properly and I've hit a brick wall. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Trouble Deploying .Net Framework 4 Website on IIS7

Okay, I am trying to deploy a .Net framework 4 website on IIS7 server. I have already changed the application-pool's target framework to .Net 4, but the app is still showing me the error: "The configuration section 'system.web.extensions' cannot be read because it is missing a section declaration" I am guessing that has something to do with the new feature of .Net4 that lets me have a compact Web config file. I think for some reason IIS7 is not happy with this. What can I do to deploy this app successfully or do I have to scale back to v3.5? I am sure there is a solution out there. Do you have any suggestions?

MSBuild cannot find SGen when compiling a solution

I've looked at several other SGen-related questions on here and either their answers don't apply or their answers don't fix this for me. I have installed several SDKs to fix this issue with no luck. Reference types should not be changed since this is the only place this is a problem. Once suggestion is to put SGen.exe into the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5 folder, but that's not been done on the box where this is not a problem. In this scenario, SGen.exe actually exists and is right where it's supposed to be, but MSBuild still is having issues with finding it for some reason! Background: We have a NAnt script that automates our builds. In this scenario, NAnt is calling MSBuild and MSBuild is generating the error claiming to be unable to find SGen. The project is .NET 3.5-based. I have my primary dev environment (64-bit Vista Ultimate) where the script works perfectly and I am attempting to duplicate it in a VM (64-bit Win 7 Ultimate). I THINK I have everything to the point where I should be good-to-go but this fails on the Win7 box (works perfectly on the Vista box). I have done some comparisons between the two boxes and they both look identical in this regard, but it still fails. For example, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework's sdkInstallRootv2.0 value is set to C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0 64bit\ on both machines. In both machines, SGen.exe is in that path's bin subdirectory. How do I create reusable custom new item form + preferrably, i don't want to tie this form to content type? I want to force render one hidden field (it could be render on the page, but make invisible or render on the page and display) and set field value programmatically (that's why it has to be rendered - to set it's value). Google has tons of information on how to create custom list form with sharepoint designer, but in my case, i don't want sharepoint designer for the advantages you see below. What i'm trying to achieve I want to be able to have a custom newform to create item (i don't want it to be as default). To open this newForm i would use CustomAction in item's ECB menu. In this form, i want to force render one hidden field and set it's value programmatically. Cleanup vs Dispose(bool) in MVVM-light

In the lastest version of MVVM-light (V3 SP1) both "Dispose()" and "Dipose(bool)" methods in ViewModel class are marked Do not use this method anymore, it will be removed in a future version. Use ICleanup.Cleanup() instead Does this mean that IDisposable interface must not be implemented in all ViewModel classes that are derived from GalaSoft.MvvmLight.ViewModelBase (and cleanup must be overrided)? If yes, using can't be used for view-model instances... Probably I didn't understand something... Please clarify... What are the benefits of such cleaning up? Thanks.

Visual Studio 2010 and TFS 2008: Building unit test projects

Hi, We are currently taking VS2010 for a testdrive and so far we are a little stumped with how it just won't cooperate with our existing Team Foundation Server 2008. We still have all our projects on .NET 3.5 and whenever we are now building a solution that contains a unit test project (which automatically builds in .NET 4.0) the TFS won't build it. The .NET 4.0 framework is installed on the TFS 2008. The error we're receiving is: [Any CPU/Release] c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.Common.targets(0,0): warning MSB3245: Could not resolve this reference. Could not locate the assembly "Microsoft.VisualStudio.QualityTools.UnitTestFramework, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a, processorArchitecture=MSIL". Check to make sure the assembly exists on disk. If this reference is required by your code, you may get compilation errors. As a temporary workaround we are now forced to remove all our test projects in order for our solutions to build.

I seem to be having an issue with Jax-WS and Jax-b playing nicely together. I need to consume a web-service, which has a predefined WSDL. When executing the generated client I am receiving the following error: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: javax.xml.bind.MarshalException - with linked exception: [com.sun.istack.SAXException2: unable to marshal type "java.lang.String" as an element because it is missing an @XmlRootElement annotation] This started occurring when I used an external custom binding file to map needlessly complex types to java.lang.string. Finally, one other thing I tried was setting a globalBinding definition: <globalBindings generateValueClass="false"></globalBindings> This caused the server to through an argument mismatch exception since the Soap Message was using xs:string xml types instead of passing the defined complex types, so I abandoned that idea. Any insight into what is causing the MarshalException or how to go about solving the issue of calling the webservice and mapping these objects more easily, is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for days and I sadly think I am stumped.

Hi I'm getting a strange error when building my WCF RIA Services Silverlight project in VS2008. In the output I have this message: C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft\Silverlight\v3.0\Microsoft.Ria.Client.targets(261,5): error : Failed to write the generated contents of 'C:\projects\[Path_To_Silverlight_Project]\Generated_Code\Analytics.Web.g.cs' to Visual Studio. ...and Visual Studio opens a dialog while building with the following: An editor or project is attempting to save a file that is modified in memory. Saving files during a build is dangerous and may result in incorrect build outputs in the future. Continue with save? The other members on my team seems to be doing just fine, but I can't get past this point (I can if I click 'Continue' which then generate the file just fine but I'm reluclant to do so). There must be some setup or similar that I'm missing here... PS: I'm currently on WinXP and WCF RIA Service beta

And it just appears without animation. But if I press a link inside the TTStyledTextLabel the animation works, the navigationItem will be shown. How can I make the animation, the navigationItem and the tabBar be shown?

JavaEE in netbeans giving BUILD FAILED error upon deployment

When I try to run my Java EE program in Netbeans consisting of servlets (java pages), JSP's, beans(java pages) and HTML pages I get this error in the output: In-place deployment at C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\EJBProject-war\build\web Initializing... deploy?path=C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\EJBProject-war\build\web&name=EJBProject-war&force=true failed on Personal GlassFish v3 Domain C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\EJBProject-war\nbproject\build-impl.xml:611: The module has not been deployed. BUILD FAILED (total time: 1 second) And then in the command prompt when I run asant run in the appropriate directory, I get: C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\nbproject\build-impl.xml:19: Class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.condition.Not doesn't support the nested "antversion" element. Do you know why this would be? Why won't netbeans deploy my application so I can run and test it?

rpm installation error

im trying to install an RPM compat-db-4.1.25-9 on oracle linux enterprise, since its required to install WebCenter...however the rpm installation is throwing a warning and then not working [root@devsebl downloads]# rpm -i compat-db-4.1.25-9.rpm warning: compat-db-4.1.25-9.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 9b3c94f4 [root@devsebl downloads]# rpm -q compat-db-4.1.25-9.rpm package compat-db-4.1.25-9.rpm is not installed any idea what that warning means and why its crashing there? i tried to use Yum, but its not available i guess: [root@devsebl downloads]# yum search compat-db Loaded plugins: security Warning: No matches found for: compat-db No Matches found

Extending a DropDownList control

I have a rather large application that has literally a hundred DDLs with Yes / No ListItems. In an attempt to same myself some time, I created a Custom Control that extends the standard DDL. It all seems to work fine but I am having some issues when assigning the SelectedValue property in code where the selected value does not seem to have an affect on the control. I wonder if I should be adding my items during Init or PagePreLoad? Should I be calling base.OnInit before or after I add the list items? This mostly works but not 100%.
