  • Showing an image after loading it from sql database

    I have a problem showing the image form database in a view Details and a ImageController. Inside the view I have: img src=Url.Action("GetFile","Image", new {id= Model.id}) and in controller: public FileContentResult GetFile(int idl) { //int idl = 32; SqlDataReader rdr; byte[] fileContent = null; ........... return File(,,); } When the view is called, function GetFile it just won't work. But if I cut out the parameter int id1 and I instantiate it as a variable it does work. public FileContentResult GetFile() { int idl = 32; SqlDataReader rdr; byte[] fileContent = null; ........... return File(,,); } Why?

  • Customizing TabWidget in SDK 1.5, API 3

    I'm aware that API 3 doesn't allow a view to be set for a tab, but I still need to modify the TextView displayed as the indicator. I'd also like to change the Drawable for the tab, but I don't see a way to do it without a custom tab view as allowed in 1.6, API 4. Working with this generic example below, is there way to retrieve the TextView and modify its properties or change the drawable?   • Django - raw_id_fields title not refreshing.

    Hi, I am currently having an issue when using the raw_id_field within admin.py in my Django project. My site's admin area has a number of image upload fields for various different model pages which are all ForeignKey fields to an Image model where all images for the site are stored. As the site will eventually be dealing with a large quantity of images (100s, maybe 1000s) the default select box would be unusable. I created various admin.ModelAdmin classes e.g class InfoSlideAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): raw_id_fields=('image',) These change the image selector within my Edit pages from a Select Box to a Raw ID Field. However when I select a different image using this control although the ID of the new image is shown the title from the previous image still displays. Any ideas?

  • Android -- Object Creation/Memory Allocation vs. Performance

    Hello all, This is probably an easy one. I have about 20 TextViews/ImageViews in my current project that I access like this: ((TextView)multiLayout.findViewById(R.id.GameBoard_Multi_Answer1_Text)).setText(""); //or ((ImageView)multiLayout.findViewById(R.id.GameBoard_Multi_Answer1_Right)).setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE); My question is this, am I better off, from a performance standpoint, just assigning these object variables? Further, am I losing some performance to the constant "search" process that goes on as a part of the findViewById(...) method? (i.e. Does findsViewById(...) use some sort of hashtable/hashmap for look-ups or does it implement an iterative search over the view hierarchy?) At present, my program never uses more than 2.5MB of RAM, so will assigning 20 or so more object variables drastically affect this? I don't think so, but I figured I'd ask. Thanks.

    I am reviewing implementation choices for FIX when using .NET. A few obvious choices come to mind, but I want to know if there are other options, better choices or if we've made the same decision as a lot of you. QuickFIX - Stable, C++ implementation - so you've got unmanaged code to interop with. FIX4NET - C# implementation - seems to have some gaps in its implementation. DIY - Chime in here if you've made your own FIX engine Let me throw in some caveats here. I'm not looking for sub 100 microsecond processing. Performance is a requirement, but not so much that it's driving my decisions. A solid product that is stable, performs well and is flexible enough to deal with vendor specific dialects is the sweet spot. The more we can do in .NET the better.

  • Joomla Session Variable as Plugin Parameter

    I have a Joomla plugin which takes varying parameters. I need to retrieve one of these parameters from the current session. I've tried using Jumi and a little PHP snipped to retrieve the value and output it in the plugin's parameter list, but the Joomla plugin parser only handles the outter-most set of curly braces. ex. {fabrik view=table id=62 resetfilters=1 fab_tours_ro___tour_id=[tour_id]} [tour_id] I need to retrieve from the current session. I've tried {fabrik view=table id=62 resetfilters=1 fab_tours_ro___tour_id={jumi [scripts/get_tour_id.php]}} In that case the {jumi} tag never gets parsed. I could hack the {fabrik} plugin, but I'd prefer to do this without making any core or component changes, especially since I update Fabrik quite regularly via svn.

    I make the following call to the DB. @patientRegistration = PatientRegistration.find(:all, :conditions=["name = '#{patientName}'"]) Search for patient registration based on a given name. I get a valid @patientRegistration object.When I invoke @patientRegistration.inspect it prints correctly all the values for the object in the DB. But when I try to read a particular attribute (Say id or name) by doing the following: @patientRegistration.id or @patientRegistration.name. I get invalid values. Either its blank or some junk values. I dont understand how inspect is able to retrieve all the values correctly but reading individual attributes gives invalid values. Thanks

    I have been storing option lists for my Android app in a cloud table. For example, categories like "historical fiction","biography","science fiction", etc. I see the following pros and cons: Pro: I can make changes to the list without sending an app update to Google Play Not normalized - I can use the text in my other data tables instead of a reference ID Con: App needs to take time to download from the web each time (or at least check for changes) English only I believe the "proper" way to do this is the use the XML resource files. But I need to make sure the selection references correctly with my data. That is, my app needs to understand that "Poetry" and "Poesía" are the same thing. Is the correct thing to do: Forget about it since I'll never get to the point where I'm translating my app anyway Use a string-array and use the index (0...x) to know what the selection is Use a 2-dimensional string-array with a reference ID in the first column and the text in the second?

  • Java: Making concurrent MySQL queries from multiple clients synchronised

    I work at a gaming cybercafe, and we've got a system here (smartlaunch) which keeps track of game licenses. I've written a program which interfaces with this system (actually, with it's backend MySQL database). The program is meant to be run on a client PC and (1) query the database to select an unused license from the pool available, then (2) mark this license as in use by the client PC. The problem is, I've got a concurrency bug. The program is meant to be launched simultaneously on multiple machines, and when this happens, some machines often try and acquire the same license. I think that this is because steps (1) and (2) are not synchronised, i.e. one program determines that license #5 is available and selects it, but before it can mark #5 as in use another copy of the program on another PC tries to grab that same license. I've tried to solve this problem by using transactions and table locking, but it doesn't seem to make any difference - Am I doing this right?     I'm trying to add a second SSD to a Centos 6 system. But I get the error 22 no such partition at boot. The system already has a single SSD (sdb) and a pair of HDDs (sd{a,c}) in a RAID 1 array from where it boots. It is as if the new SSD assumes one of the devices of the RAID array. Is it?   • How to remove a single event in a recuring event

    hi all. I' m having an issue with fullCalendar. I created a script that, adds an event to fullCalendar, along a day range, and set a unique id in order to have this event recur. let say for example that i have a recuring event from 1/1/10 till 10/1/10. i create 10 single event Objects with the same id, and place then on fullCalendar. my question is, that i want to exclude a single day over this recuring event. (for example 3/1/10). i found out, that if i remove that particural event from the sources table and then update the event its fine. but how can i get on runtime the actucal index of this eventObj on sources table? Note that, i add the events on the fullCalendar using the .fullCalendar("renderEvent") method. Thanks.

  • Multiple Scripts With the Same MySQL Query Running At Once => Will There Be Interference?

    I want to have multiple scripts running from cron at the same time. They will all update, say, 500 rows with a unique status ID for that particular script to use. If each script grabs the same type of rows to update, and the scripts run at once, will there be interference between the queries run at the same time? For example, using this query: UPDATE table SET status = <unique script ID> WHERE status = 0 LIMIT 500 Will I get the same rows updating more than once? I'm trying to get each script to get unique rows. I was thinking of using sleep() to make the queries run at different times, but I'm not sure if that's necessary. Thanks.

    Hi, i have two tables category and hotels where category.id should be equal to hotels.catid. Now how do i select 3 rows from each different category from the hotels table. I have this query: select h.* from hotels h inner join category c on h.catid = c.id order by h.catid, h.hid this selects all records, but i want to select three rows per different category so in all it should return 9 rows with 3 rows for each category. If this can not be done in mysql, you could also suggest php code please. Thanks

I want to be able to call discussion.last_comment for the last comment model, but the following (in my discussion model) isn't working to make this happen: has_one :first_comment, :class_name => "Comment" has_one :last_comment, :class_name => "Comment" When I call discussion.last_comment, the following SQL is run: SELECT * FROM `comments` WHERE (`comments`.discussion_id = 1) LIMIT 1 It's using the discussions.id column to join against comments.discussion_id, when I want it to join discussions.last_comment_id against comments.id. Am I using the wrong type of association here? Thanks for your help!

    First I have a animate a iframe which id is "test" <iframe id="test" src=""></iframe> then I want animate it and hide it ,make a close effect like in MacOS: $('#test').animate({ 'width':0, 'height':0, 'top':$('input').offset().top, 'left':$('input').offset().left },function(){ //$(this).hide(); }).hide(); but it seems the iframe can not be hide.However,if I write it in the callback function that in animate,which is the annotated code above.It could work again. Here is online case So I wonder why the hide() after animate() doesn't work?Do I miss something ?

I need jquery to check if an element exists, and if so, add a class to a different element. For example, if class "minimal-price-link" exists, then add a class to "regular-price" or what I really am wanting to do is make the regular-price strikethrough.   • I can't get areas working in VS2010

    I just upgraded from VS2010 RC to RTM. Now my areas aren't working. I have a Profile area with a Home controller and an Action method Index(). If I try: http://localhost:4951/profile I get a 404 error saying that the resource can't be found. If I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home I get the same error. However, if I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home/index then the view is returned.
