• Disabled asp button

  Hi, i have asp button like this: <asp:Button ID="ImportToDB" runat="server" OnClick="ImportToDB_Click" /> And i need to call a javascript function when mouseover on this button. So i have in page_load(): ImportToDB.Attributes.Add("onmouseover","javascript:OnButtonMove(" + ImportToDB.ClientID + ")"); javascript function: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> function OnButtonMove(id) { //something } </script> Everithing work fine only if button is enabled. but when i disable button, this javascript function will never fire. what i am trying to do: I have button and when is something wrong i just disable it. And when user mouseover this(disable) button, I show him DIV with a message. Can someone tell me why i cannot call this JS function while button is disabled?

• Best way to track impressions/clicks in a bespoke advertisement system?

  I've been asked to create a bespoke advertisement system despite suggesting open source alternatives such as OpenX and DoubleClick for Publishers (the former Google Ad Manager). I've got the basics of the system set up, i.e. uploading creatives, creating positions and a mechanism to place creatives within positions; however, the area I'm stuck with is impression and click tracking. At the moment an impression and click is stored with the creative, but this then means impressions/clicks can't be queried. For example, we can't find how many impressions were in position x between date y and date z. How would I go about storing that kind of data? My theory was store the creative ID, position ID and timestamp in a database table, but given the amount of traffic the site has this would produce a very large database very quickly. If any one could give me a pointer or two, that would be great.

• mysql database design: thread and reply of a reply?

  in my forum i have threads and replies. one thread has multiple replies. but then, a reply can be a reply of an reply (like google wave). because of that a reply has to have a column "reply_id" so it can point to the parent reply. but then, the "top-level" replies (the replies directly under the thread) will have no parent reply. so how can i fix this? how should the columns be in the reply table (and thread table). at the moment it looks like this: threads: id title body replies: id thread_id (all replies will belong to a thread) reply_id (here lies the problem. the top-level replies wont have a parent reply) body what could a smart design look like to enable reply a reply?

I used PDO query to use SELECT then fetch some values, it comes to a point that I need to fetch only some entries that within its start date and end date. This will return the row for id 1, however if I change the start_date to 2012-11-25, it will fail due to the first condition on AND. I'm really confuse on this since I am new to this, is there any built-in function to handle this kind of situation?

  I have forms in my page a get and a post and i want add pager on my get form .. so i cant page through the results.. The problem that i am having is when i move to the second page it does not display anything.. If the users enters labrador in the textfield then show the categories or/and subcategories which contain 'labrador' in the keywords. In this case the "dogs" subcategory would appear! I know that this has been done using jquery. But is there anyway to implement this with angularJs? If you got a jsfiddle then it would be awesome! :) Thank you

For example: <div id='id1'><div id='id2'>content</div></div> I attach event to DIVs event handler using jQuery: $('div').click(function () { //some code }); There will be two events when user click on content. So there will be two simultaneous events. Is it possible to get inside event handler array of objects (DIVs) what have click event? May be it is possible using other framework but jQuery?

• JQuery Remove() doesn't work

  I have a DIV element inside another as follows: <div id="filters"> <div class="filterData">hello</div> </div> and I'm trying to remove the element: $("#filters").remove('.filterData'); Problem is, it doesn't. I've tested on other elements on my page and it works. The thing is, I cannot append to it, show or hide it, use .empty. I've also changed it to be a DIV with 'filterData' as the ID and told JQuery to remove it but it refuses to... Has anyone had a stuborn element like this before? EDIT: I'm also trying to remove it inside a $(document).ready function so I have no idea.

I have a table and one of its column is referring to another column in another table (in the same database) as foreign key, here is the related SQL statement, in more details, column [AnotherID] in table [Foo] refers to another table [Goo]'s column [GID] as foreign key. [GID] is primary key and clustered index on table [Goo]. My question is, in this way, if I do not create index on [AnotherID] column on [Foo] explicitly, will there be an index created automatically for [AnotherID] column on [Foo] -- because its foreign key reference column [GID] on table [Goo] already has primary clustered key index?   Hi, I have CakePHP app in which I'd like to attach gallery to multiple resources. Let's say I've got artists, each one has own gallery. I've got articles, every article has some images attached to it and so on. Now I set up tables like this: Artists hasMany Artistimages, fields in artistimages table are: id, artist_id, filename, filetype, filesize etc. Articles hasMany Articleimages, fields in articleimages table are: id, article_id, filename, filetype, filesize etc. ...but this is not how it should be, I think. Is there possibility to have one table called for example uploads which will contain all images with foreign key pointing to resource its reffering to? How to tell CakePHP which image is coming from which resource?

• Referencing the current jQuery object in a chain?

  At DevDays in SF last year (before jQuery 1.4 was released), I thought they mentioned an upcoming feature in 1.4 that would allow you to reference the current jQuery object while in a chain. I've read through all of the 1.4 improvements and wasn't able to find it. Does anyone know how this can be done? • Cache images provided through script

  I have a script, which by using several querystring variables provides an image. I am also using URL rewriting within IIS 7.5. So images have an URL like this: http://mydomain/pictures/ajfhajkfhal/44/thumb.jpg or http://mydomain/pictures/ajfhajkfhal/44.jpg This is rewritten to: http://mydomain/Picture.aspx?group=ajfhajkfhal&id=44&thumb=thumb.jpg or http://mydomain/Picture.aspx?group=ajfhajkfhal&id=44 I added caching rules to IIS to cache JPG images when they are requested. This works with my images that are REAL images on the disk. When images are provided through the script, they are somehow always requested through the script, without being cached. The images do not change that often, so if the cache at least is being kept for 30 minutes (or until file change) that would be best. I am using .NET/C# 4.0 for my website. I tried setting several cache options in C#, but I cant seem to find how to cache these images (client-side), while my static images are cached properly.

• How to remove duplicate records in a table?

  I've got a table in a testing DB that someone apparently got a little too trigger-happy on when running INSERT scripts to set it up. The schema looks like this: ID UNIQUEIDENTIFIER TYPE_INT SMALLINT SYSTEM_VALUE SMALLINT NAME VARCHAR MAPPED_VALUE VARCHAR It's supposed to have a few dozen rows. It has about 200,000, most of which are duplicates in which TYPE_INT, SYSTEM_VALUE, NAME and MAPPED_VALUE are all identical and ID is not. Now, I could probably make a script to clean this up that creates a temporary table in memory, uses INSERT .. SELECT DISTINCT to grab all the unique values, TRUNCATE the original table and then copy everything back. But is there a simpler way to do it, like a DELETE query with something special in the WHERE clause?

So, as it says to do in the documentation, I've added this code in my config/routes.rb file: resources :dimensions do collection do get "search" end end I've also defined in the dimensions_controller file: def search @dimensions = Dimension.all respond_to do |format| format.html # search.html.erb format.json { render json: @dimensions } end end I then stopped and restarted the rails server, but when I navigate to /dimensions/home, I'm still getting this error message: Couldn't find Dimension with id=search Also showing that my parameter is: {"id"=>"search"} So am I just missing another bit of code that gives the instruction to interpret /dimension/search as a collection action as opposed to the show action?   Question: I need to synchronize a few ActionScript files from my computer to a network share (backup). I saw a quick fix would be using Microsoft Sync Framework for this, and write a windows service. My problem is I also use Linux, and before I start with MS vendor lockin, is there any sync framework/library/whatever I could use that works accross platform? Or does the MS sync framework work on Linux, too? It is my understanding that it is a wrapper around some com objects, thus it wouldn't work. All I need is synchronizing files. So never mind the database part, although it would be nice to have it, too.

  I have a mySQL database with a tad under 2 million rows. The database is non-interactive, so efficiency isn't key. The (simplified) structure I have is: `id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment `category` varchar(64) NOT NULL `productListing` varchar(256) NOT NULL Now the problem I would like to solve is, I want to find duplicates on productListing field, merge the data on the category field into a single result - deleting the duplicates.
