  • Creating a view linking three different node types with two node references

    I have the following content types: Camp - the top level type Registration Information - contains node reference to Camp called Camp Medical Release Form - contains node reference to registration information called Camper I would like to create a View that takes the nid for the Camp, and pulls out all the fields for the Registration Info and Medical Release Form. I'm having trouble figuring out how to set up the various arguments/relationships. I haven't done something that's referenced more than two types. I know it would be smart/best to just combine the Registration Info and Medical Release Form, since it's a 1:1 mapping, but we can't. So... any help would be appreciated!

    Hi All I have a custom query in dripal, this query is: select count(distinct B.src) from node A, url_alias B where concat('node/',A.nid)= B.src; now, nid in node is primary key and i have made src as an index in url_alias table. after waiting for more than a minute i got this: +-----------------------+ | count(distinct B.src) | +-----------------------+ | 325715 | +-----------------------+ 1 row in set (1 min 24.37 sec) now my question is: why did this query take this long, and how to optimize it??     Hi I have set up ubercart on a site and everything seems ok when adding products and viewing the catalog page however when I click on the product the product view does not include the product image or the price. I have have enabled all fields in admin/store/settings/products/edit/fields however this does not seem to change anything (SKU etc not displayed either, only description, size options, add to cart button and link to category) Can anyone suggest why these may not be showing, Am I looking at completely the wrong config screen?     I'm not intimately familiar with CCK but I have a one-time custom setup and know that I could get some performance gains if I created indexes and changed the field type and length of some of the fields in my CCK table. Is it save to modify this table at all or will I end up destroying something in the process? Thanks

    I've got a site where users follow users they like and can read their latest updates. I'd like to show my users a simple count of how many comments the people they follow have posted in the last 24 hours. I'm having trouble figuring out the query. I have two tables. comment -cid (comment id) -timestamp -uid (id of person who posted the comment) -comment (content of the comment) user_relationships -requester_id (id of the user who followed the person) -requestee_id (id of the person who was followed) In plain english, I think the query is something like this: COUNT the cid.comment from the comments table where uid.comment is equal to requestee_id.user_relationships associated with requester_id.user_relationships value of X. I need to get all the UIDs of people being followed by a given UID from the user_relationship table. Then count up how many comments those people have posted in the last 24 hours and spit that number out. What would this query look like?

    How can I use jQuery for messing with a particular div, but not in the current document - in a variable, that contains HTML? The point is that I want to show a preview of a page (a piece of it's content) in a modal window, when the link to this page is clicked. Well, onClick I load this whole HTML into a variable via JSON and then... how would I find a particular div I need in it? It's gonna be almost impossible to parse it with PHP before converting it into JSON and giving back to jQuery processor because of a deep hierarchy. Basically, is it even possible to do smth like $( 'div#some-id' ).blabla(); not for the current document, but for the document, stored in a variable? Thx everyone in advance.

    I'm trying to gain a truth value to gain panel visibility. I have a view in place in a panel to display a listing of heartbeat messages that belong to a user. The display works but I cannot figure out how to restrict access to the panel based on the user who is viewing the panel. Goal is I want the panel to only be visible to friends and some people with certain roles. The roles I can handle but I don't know enough about PHP to get it working based on friendship status. I vaguely guess it would be something like: logged user is twoway with user being viewed based on current uid argument. I know my example is nothing like the actual code but as I said I don't have much to go on here.

  • Changing CCK content-types details results in numerous DB calls for the menu system

    Every time I make a change in the details of a content-type it takes too long. I though it had to do with the fact that I had too many content-types and fields (~500), but when I load the devel module to see the queries that take that long I see: Executed 32212 queries in 12267.57 milliseconds. Queries taking longer than 5 ms and queries executed more than once, are highlighted. Page execution time was 55763.32 ms When I see the details I notice that the vast majority of db calls come from the menu system, e.g.: _menu_route menu_local_tasks admin_menu_link_save Why is that? Can I avoid some of these? It doesn't seem logical!

    Using the autocomplete field for a cck nodereference always displays the node id as a cryptic bracketed extension: Page Title [nid:23] I understand that this ensures that selections are unique in case nodes have the same title, but obviously this is a nasty thing to expose to the user. Has anyone had any success in removing these brackets, or adding a different unique identifier?

In this function, i need the username entered by the user. I think i cannot use the login op of hook_user because its called only when the user has successfully logged in.     Client is requesting a single track to be heard across the website. Generally I advise against it, but they insist. So, what is the most straightforward way of having a flash player embedded in a site, and when a user goes to another page there isn't a gap/interruption? I am thinking an iframe is required.. I am using a flash player that has autoresume, but that only solves picking up where you last left off on the song before going to another page. I tried searching SO for an answer..

  • x11 looks ugly while opening a remote window from ssh. Can I use GTK themes?

    I use to connect to a distant computer running linux from my mac using ssh. For example I use: $ ssh -Y login@host then $ gnome-open . in order to open a nautilus window. This window do open but it looks ugly. I found here that one can install GTK themes through Macports. I installed gtk2-aurora and gtk-chtheme and chose the aurora theme successfully, but my remote windows still look ugly. Is this theme (or others) working for remote windows or is it only for local x11 windows? Is there a way to improve the look and feel of remote windows?

  • Wordpress 403/404 Errors: You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/themes.php on this server

    Some background: I setup six blogs this week, all using Wordpress 2.92, installed with Fantastico on a baby croc plan with Hostgator. I used the same theme (heatmap 2.5.4) and plugins for each blog. They were all up and running, no issues at all. I go to create a new blog this morning, using the same setup, and when I try to change the theme settings, I get the following error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/themes.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.8n DAV/2 mod_fcgid/2.3.5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at http://www.mydomain.com Port 80 I tried uninstalling WP and doing a clean install, still the same issue with a clean installation. So I went back and checked the six other blogs that I had setup over the last week or so, and they are also now giving me 403 or 404 errors when trying to change theme settings, and everytime there's an error it points to either themes.php or functions.php At this point I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what the problem is. Hostgator support looked at it and thought maybe it was a permissions issue but they reset those and I'm still having the problem. At first I thought the problem might have been related to a plugin I recently installed on the previous six blogs that morning (ByREV Fix Missed Shedule Plugin) to deal with a missed schedule bug with WP 2.92, and that maybe that had mucked things up. But then I checked a blog I built months ago, also using the same theme and plugins, and now it too is also encountering the same problem. Any ideas? I tried deleting my htaccess, uploading a blank one, uploading one with this snippet I found on the hostgator forum: # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress Nothing has worked. I still get 403 or 404 errors everytime. Everything was working perfectly yesterday so I know this setup DOES WORK, I've just mucked something up somewhere and I'm clueless what it is. I read a related thread here and tried chmoding the wp-content folder to 0755 and still having the issue. Any thoughts? Thanks!
