The methods or protocols used by Milestone's XPrtotect softwares. We are already dealing with DVR cameras.   Previously, on StackOverflow ... (Summarized) I need to capture all requests, for a particluar subdomain .. and rewrite their destination. Now, the trick to determining the host via regex was solved. Now, i need to make sure all requests to the root index page is rewritten, but i can't figure out the correct regex to find the 'homepage' / website root. this is what i have.... <if header="HTTP_HOST" match="^foo\.mydomain\.com\.au(?::\d+)?/?$"> <!-- snip some other rewrites, eg./buying/product -> ~/Pages/Foo/Bar.aspx --> <rewrite url="^/$" to="~/Pages/SomeWeirdFolder/Home.aspx" processing="stop"/> </if> Now if one of the rewrites were not found, then it falls through and continues. So .. can anyone please help?

  I have installed will_paginate and acts_as_ferret on my system for ruby rails. My paginate seems to work fine before installing acts_as_ferret. When I put in the code to do searching I get the following error: NoMethodError in Community#search Showing app/views/community/_result_summary.rhtml where line #3 raised: undefined method `total_entries' for []:Array Extracted source (around line #3): 1: <% if @users %> 2: <p> 3: Found <%= pluralize(@users.total_entries, "match") %>. 4: </p> 5: <% end %> If I take out the search function, paginate works but it's pointless because I can't do searches.   Yes, I've read and done teh Google many times but I still can't get this working... maybe I'm an idiot :) I have a system using tickets. Start date is "created_at" in the timestamps. Each ticket closes 7 days after "created_at". In the model, I'm using: def closes (self.created_at + 7.days) end I'm trying to create another method that will take "closes" and return it as how many days, hours, minutes, and seconds are left before the ticket closes. Anyone want to help and/or admonish my skills? ;)

  I've been trying to specify a custom naming convention for my database table columns. So far, I have been able to setup a convention for the table's name, but not the actual columns.   Hey I have a form where the person enters the subdomain like value.google.com and the entry would be "valid" I want to run a regex check (I am absolutely horrible at regex) that does the following: First Character: Cannot be symbol Middle Characters: a-z, A-Z, and symbols - and . ONLY Last character: Cannot be a symbol I want it to spit out false if it fails the test. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks! Also any other limitations do you guys think should be in there?

• Looking for some help with GWT/Derby in Eclipse

  I'm attempting to learn AJAX via this site. I've made it down to the section where it says "you must put the code in the onModuleLoad()" (right above listing 4). I found two areas in my Eclipse project that mention onModuleLoad(): slicr.java and the actual EntryPoint.class file in the gwt-user.jar/com.google.gwt.core.client package. When I try to add the contents of listing for to slicr.java, I get tons of cannot be resolved to a type errors and I cant add anything to EntryPoint.class as it appears to be locked from editing. I really appreciate any help someone could give me!

  OK for the past 10 days I have been trying to figure out where to begin learning website development a dynamic one, So far everyone told me you should start with computer science and I am like What the @#$% how am I suppose to learn computer science without going to school and get a degree but I don't want a degree I just want to learn how to devlope websites. So now I am here and confused about how to put together a website. I get HTML and CSS but still have some problems designing the site now on the other had I am having trouble trying to figure out how php and database mysql is used to put together a website. I have seen videos from lynda.com and still have no Idea after I have watched the video the basic one, one that teach you the Variables, Loops, Strings ext... ok than what happens, how do you build the website with it, that is the question I am real not understand the answer to. My apologies if I come off as being extremely lazy but I need to make efficient use of my time and make sure am not just swallowing any garbage of the web. Therefore I am looking for the best and most informative and with a fair bit of detail for the Reflection chapter in .Net. Reflection is something that comes up time and time again and I want to extend my reading from what I know already from the official 70-536 book. I'm not a big fan of MSDN but at the moment that's al I'm using. Anyone got any other good published reading material off the inter web that can help revision for the entrance exam??? • My multithread program works slowly or appear deadlock on dual core machine, please help

  I have a program with several threads, one thread will change a global when it exits itself and the other thread will repeatedly poll the global. No any protection on the globals. The program works fine on uni-processor. On dual core machine, it works for a while and then halt either on Sleep(0) or SuspendThread(). Would anyone be able to help me out on this? The code would be like this: Thread 1: do something... while(1) { ..... flag_thread1_running=false; SuspendThread(GetCurrentThread()); continue; } Thread 2 .... while(flag_thread1_running==false) Sleep(0); ....

• Help getting ActiveScaffold to work properly

  Hey there I was curious about the ActiveScaffold Rails plugin, but somehow I can't get it to work properly. I've followed the steps which are described on http://activescaffold.com/tutorials/ . The table and everything shows up and when I click on "Create new", the dialog pops up. However, when I fill out the form and click "Create", I just get "500 Internal server error". In the server log, it says "NameError (wrong constant name ###):", with ### being what I entered in the first form field. If I don't enter anything in the form, it says "NoMethodError (undefined method `new_record?' for #):"... So what am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance for your help :)

  Hi I have 2 tables A and B with the following columns Table A - id,bId,aName,aVal Table B - id,bName where A.bId is the same as B.id. I want a result set from a query to get A.id, A.aName, B.bName where A.bId=B.id OR A.id, A.aName, "" when A.bId=0. In both cases, only those records should be considered where A.aVal LIKE "aVal" Can someone please help me with the query? I can use left join but how do I get the blank string if bId=0 and B.bName otherwise? Thanks

I'm having trouble with this, when I try to run my code in the simulator, XCode says it succeeded, but the simulator crashes with no error messages. Can someone help me with this? • help understanding the concept of javascript callbacks with node.js, especially in loops

  hi I am just starting with node.js. I have done a little ajax stuff but nothing too complicated so callbacks are still kind of over my head. I looked at async but all I need is to run a few functions sequentially. I basically have something that pulls some json from an api, creates a new one and then does something with that. obviously i can't just run it because it runs everything at once and has an empty json. mostly they have to go sequentially but if while pulling a json from the api it can pull other json while it's waiting that is fine. I just got confused when putting the callback in a loop. what do I do with the index? i think i have seen some places that use callback inside the loop as kind of a recusive function and don't use for loops at all. simple examples would help alot thanks!

  I came from a Windows background whern it comes to development environments. I'm used to run .exe's from everything I need to run and just forget. I usually code in php, javascript, css, html and python. Now, I have to use Linux at my work, in a non changeable Ubuntu 8.04, with permissions to upgrade my system using company's repositories only. I need to install Python 2.4.3 to start coding in an old legacy system. I had Python 2.5. I downloaded Python 2.4.3 tarballs, ran ./configure make and such. Everything worked out, but now the "default" installation is my system is Python2.4 instead of of Python2.5. I want help from you to change it back, and if possible, some material to read about symlinks, multiple Python installations, virtualenvs and such: everything I need to know before installing/upgrading Python modules. I installed for example the ElementTree package and don't even know in which Python installation it was installed. Thanks in advance!

  Hi, I've written a PHP script to access the latest item from the wordpress database, which it does. But I need to use it twice, once for the latest item from a specific category, and another from a differerent category... But right now I cannot figure out how to put the query together. The post has a post_parent, which in another table, called wp_term_relationships, is referred to as object_id, and has a term_taxonomy_id, which then relates to a different table, called wp_terms where the term_taxonomy_id is now term_id and then you have the category slug name available to select... I really cannot understand how this query would work though. I've made a really crap mock up of it, to try to "visually" explain what i'm trying to do... SELECT * FROM wp_posts WHERE post_status = 'publish' AND (SELECT term_taxonomy_id FROM wp_term_relationships WHERE object_id = post_parent) AND (SELECT slug FROM wp_terms WHERE term_id = term_taxonomy_id) ORDER BY ID DESC LIMIT 1 Really would appreciate some help...   I've got a string like this: #################### Section One #################### Data A Data B #################### Section Two #################### Data C Data D etc. I want to parse it into something like: $arr( 'Section One' => array('Data A', 'Data B'), 'Section Two' => array('Data C', 'Data D') ) At first I tried this: $sections = preg_split("/(\r?\n)(\r?\n)#/", $file_content); The problem is, the file isn't perfectly clean: sometimes there are different numbers of blank lines between the sections, or blank spaces between data rows. The section head pattern itself seems to be relatively consistent: #################### Section Title #################### The number of #'s is probably consistent, but I don't want to count on it. The white space on the title line is pretty random. Once I have it split into sections, I think it'll be pretty straightforward, but any help writing a killer reg ex to get it there would be appreciated. (Or if there's a better approach than reg ex...)

  I have already implemented some AJAX pagination in my Rails app by using the example code for the will_paginate plugin--which is apparently using Prototype. But if I wanted to switch to using jQuery for future additions, I really don't want to have the Prototype stuff sitting around too (yes, I know it's possible).   Hi folks, I'm trying to mock up a fake ASP.NET Controller. I don't have any concrete controllers, so I was hoping to just mock a Controller and it will work. See how I'm trying to mock up an abstract Controller - is that allowed? Can someone help me?
