    There is an email service ExactTarget with web service API. There are samples (in php though) for sending email to whole list instantly, or to single subscriber by triggered action. It's pretty hard to get in it's documentation, and I couldn't find explanation how to send email to a single subscriber instantly without having some triggering actions. Any help or advice will be great.

    Hi, I'm using org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet and org.springframework.ws.transport.http.MessageDispatcherServlet In the same app but each is loading own application contexts, I need to load all beans in a single application context. The application consists of typical layers webappdao etc What I have tried is to use one single spring-root-context.xml by setting it in the contextConfigLocation. But didn't help, this has been an issue for me for a long time an I would appreciate any help with this. Any online references would be a great help. Regards Ramo

    I'm wanting to allow users to enter HTML in only a single textbox. I understand it's possible to change ValidateRequest in the Page directive to false in order to remove protection. I'm guessing that this allows HTML to be entered in any textbox on the page. Is there anyway to apply ValidateRequest=False on only a single control? Thanks for any help.

The test-app comes with heavy baggage of clearing of all compiled files and generating cobertura reports hence even if we run single integration test, the entire code base is compiled,instrumented and the cobertura report is getting generated.     I've tried to connect to my local machine every time I try and run my program.     I am trying to create a javascript widget which can be placed on any webpage and uses facebook connect to authenticate the user. What I have done is that,in any html file you put a javascript which has a document.write to show the widget. <script type="text/javascript" src="button.js"></script> On clicking the widget, the facecook login happens if the user is not already logged in to facebook (Single Sign On). There are no problems when I am putting the HTML file and the js file in the same directory as specified in the facebook connect URL. However, when I put the HTML file in some other folder and specify the absolute path to the js folder I get the warning "Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL (XXXXXXX) must have the application's Connect URL as prefix" The login however happens? How can this be resolved?

  • Logging on to two sites simultaneously

    I want to log on to two sites simultaneously to enable a single sign on solution. We have a smallish wiki that is created with Apple wiki and we have an intranet site on a aspx cms system by Elcom. Both use Active Directory for credentials. Currently they are on different domains, but we could enable a rewrite using our load-balancer (Citrix Netscaler) or IIS. These sites are on different servers, one a mysterious Mac system and the other an IIS v6.0 on windows 2003. Now I am almost certain that a reverse proxy set up will solve this but I really just need someone to agree that this solves this issue, and if there are things I should look out for what they might be. I just want to have an invisible log on screen in an iframe and enter clone the user name and password using javascript.

  • VMWare ESXi virtual machine can contact the gateway but not the DNS server

    I am having a bit of a strange issue. I have a VMWare ESXi server with two virtual machines running on it. They are running just fine and can communicate on the network without a problem. I am now trying to add a third. I am installing Ubuntu 8.04 Server. I assign it a static IP address and it's a fresh installation. Once installed I can ping the gateway but I cannot ping the DNS server. It's on the same network with the other two VMs which are communicating just fine. I have tried to reinstall the operating system but it still fails to connect. One interesting thing I notice is the arp reply's MAC doesn't look right. I have cleared the FortiGate's ARP cache though and checked the entry and it seems correct. The MAC it lists is the one for the router.   • Moving Windows XP from ICH10R RAID 5 to single disk using Linux [migrated]

    A friend's machine running Windows XP refused to boot recently which is running 3 SATA disks on RAID 5 (which was previously upgraded from RAID 1 not by me). I have determined there to be a disk failure. The disks have been replaced many times in the past few years. I wish to backup the RAID5 partition before I try anything to fix it. The RAID chipset used is ICH10R/DO. So, I plugged in an extra IDE drive and an Ubuntu USB key and looked at the RAID. The partitioning is a mess, but I did find at least one degraded but working RAID array with two partitions, one 79GB and the other 86GB. Then I: 1) Partitioned my IDE disk using fdisk to have a partition of 80GB and bootable, and marked as NTFS. 2) dd the contents of the array to the partition 3) disconnected everything else 4) inserted a Windows XP CD and ran fixboot, fixmbr, and bootcfg. They all run ok and claim that they worked. (e.g. bootcfg detects the Windows partition, fixboot returns saying that it was written correctly.) However, I'm still getting an error like "DISK FAILURE, BOOT DISK NOT FOUND". I have tried running the GRUB rescue disk, which also runs ok, but won't boot into Windows. It just stops with a flashing cursor after chainloader +1, boot. One clue may be that the partitions appear to be wack. One disk has a 79GB RAID partition on a 500GB drive with a offset, the second disk has a 320GB RAID partition across the whole drive. Additionally, the BIOS lists the RAID size as being 149GB. I don't see how this works. How are they even assembling the array when the partitions are so different? I have also tried running the Windows XP automated repair tool, but that didn't work either. I'm presuming this is something simple. Perhaps Windows is attempting to boot into RAID and, upon not finding it, simply crashing? Perhaps the 79GB partitions offset means that it's looking into the disk by that much? Please help!! To clarify: I want to make the single IDE disk bootable with a copy of the array so that I can prove/disprove that it's just that Windows has become corrupted, and use windows tools to correct it before attempting the same thing on the RAID array. That way I have a working backup and can show the process I used to fix it.

  • Custom built machine has much higher power consumption than expected

    I built a machine according to the specs of a computer magazine (c't, Germany). According to the magazine, the power consumption should be at around 10W. I don't want to go into the specifics of the hardware but rather ask for general advice on where to look: I updated the BIOS/UEFI version to the latest version, installed all the recommended drivers and unplugged all hardware that's not necessary to boot into Windows. All that was left is the power supply, mainboard, cpu, cpu cooler and one SSD drive. But still I measured a power consumption of 50W, which is 40W more than it should be. I tried booting Linux Mint from a USB stick, so I don't think it's some Windows-related problem.. Where else could I look? Update 1 I dind't want the question to get closed for being too localized but if more details are necessary, here they are: The system is a desktop PC. The power consumption is measured using a Brennenstuhl PM 231 device, which was tested also by c't and they found it quite accurate. The PSU is an Enermax ETL300AWT, the mainboard Intel DH87RL (Socket 1150) and the CPU Intel G3220 (Haswell). Update 2 There is no online version of the article*. The most details I found can be read on its project page (in German, though...) (*)You can pay for downloadable PDFs, however. English translation of that project page Update 3 Regarding the sceptics: It may sound ridiculous but apparently 10W idle consumption is possible with Intel's Haswell architecture. As a kind of proof, there's an additional Blog article explicitly listing the steps needed to reduce the idle consumption to 10W. Additional hardware: I measured the consumption without the HDD, and as expected the usage dropped by around 10W. I have no chassis fans and the CPU fan is a "Scythe Mugen 4" model. It runs at around 600rpm so I think it won't draw much. When stripping off all my extra components I should be at 10W. But I'm not getting anywhere near that. I would be happy to see "just" 15W in the stripped down version but currently I'm not getting below 50W no matter which component I remove. As I see it this cannot be explained by the PSU being less efficient at lower consumption. I also waited half an hour or so (also checked that no Windows updates were running in the background) and the consumption dind't drop by more than a few watts.
