  How to display images in the form of pages where only one page is displayed at a time on blackberry screen. On scrolling down subsequent images will load at run time. So that loading of images do not consume time at startup. Edit: I am using loadimage function which loads images from blackberry device memory which loads images from specified path and resizing them.As number of images increases, it increases the startup time during opening of window.There is an in-built application(Media) in blackberry phone, where images load without taking any extra time. My idea is to display particular number of images which fit to the blackberry screen. As user scroll down to bottom of screen, application will then load and display more images. So my question is how to detect when user reached to bottom of blackberry screen and display one more row images.

• Cocoa NSOutlineView bug - [NSCFTimer copyWithZone:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance

  I'm using an NSOutlineView with the function - (BOOL)outlineView:(NSOutlineView *)outlineView isGroupItem:(id)item defined so it gives the group row GUI look. When I add a root item, it works fine. When I add an item to root's child array and expand it, it works fine. If I contract the item though, the following error is logged: [NSCFTimer copyWithZone:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance I also get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS error if the app window is deactivated by switching to another app. I used the debugger to try to find where I might have made an error in one of my functions, but the stack trace only shows functions I did not create (RunCurrentEventLoopInMode, CFRunLoopRunSpecific, handleWindowNeedsDisplay, etc.) Does anyone have any idea where my error(s) might be?

• XCode 3.2 - can't create Objective-C class

  My installation of XCode 3.2 has begun to exhibit some strange behaviour. When I try to add a basic Objective-C classs (inheriting from NSObject), in my iPhone project, I get the following popup: "Alert. Couldn't load the next page". The above-mentioned error happens at the point of trying to create the file (i.e. the creation process doesn't get to the stage where you are asked to input the file name). It might also be worth mentioning that where there previously used to be a description for the file (in the file creation window) it now states "No description available". I can create other files (e.g. UIViewController subclass etc.) but not the basic Objective-C class. I have updated the documentation and restarted the machine and xcode several times without success. I would be extremely grateful for any assistance as I am relatively new to the XCode environment.

• ASP.NET ASPX Designer question. Bug?

  Check out this Screenshot. Shouldn't a hierarchy list of tags appear here? Usually it appears. Sometimes, the tag "appears" there but without text (but the tag object is there as evident when you hover over it.) Other times, like this, nothing appears. It's a usual feature to see the hierarchy or tags which gives me easily access to the tags from design view for easy altering in the properties window. I think too many developers love to do things the hard way and sludge thru tags in HTML view and hardly use this, but it frustrates me when it doesn't work all the time. Is it me? Nah....

• How to manipulate the default behaviour of jQuery Imageflow?

  Some of you sure know the jQuery-Plugin Imageflow on hxxp://finnrudolph.de/ImageFlow/ (sorry for that, I definitely need to gain reputation, working on it ;)) The default behaviour is that the images within the image-container (which has 100% width in this case) will be resized according to the image-container. There's an option to declare the distance between every image and it would be much better, if this value would be encreased and decreased with the window-resize-event. Everything seems to happen in a function called "moveTo" which is unfortunately also responsible for the resizing when moving to another image. I tried it since hours now but I don't come to a solution. Find the source-code here, and the mentioned function "moveTo" on line 554. Thank your very much for any help! Tim

• How to make Visual Studio Pause after executing a console app in debug mode?

  I have a collection of boost unit tests I want to run as a console application. When I'm working on the project and I run the tests I would like to be able to debug the tests and I would like to have the console stay open after the tests run. I see that if I run in release mode the console window stays up after the program exits, but in debug mode this is not the case. I do not want to add 'system("pause");' or any other hacks like reading a character to my program. I just want to make Visual Studio pause after running the tests with debugging like it would if I were running in release mode. I would also like it if the output of tests were captured in one of Visual Studio's output windows but that also seems to be harder than it should be. How can I do this? Thanks!

  Trying to get Facebook to authenticate my users via a javascript popup. • WPF, animate over container boundaries

  Hi, I'm learning WPF and have a specific goal. Imagine you have a grid (3 rows by 3 columns), and a control, say a simple blue rectangle fills the middle cell. When I click on the cell I want the square to rotate smoothly through 180 degrees. The specific issue I have at the moment is; as the rectangle rotates, it won't change its dimensions, so it will extend beyond the boundary of the cell. I don't want it to clip, i want it to appear on top, partially obscuring surrounding cells. The second part of this is, if there is one cell that fills the entire window, and I click on the blue rectangle in that cell, can I make the rectangle rotate and extend beyond the sides of the form? If that doesn't make sense, please ask. I'm finding it hard to google because I don't know the exact terms I should be using. Thank you

  I have an SDI application written in MFC. The frame is divided into 1 row and 2 columns using a splitter window. Below are details of Row and Column (R0C0 means Row#0 and Col#0) R0C0 view is a CFormView with multiple input controls like text box, combo box etc. R0C1 view is a CHtmlView that contains HTML content relavant to the control that has input focus in the R0C0 I am able to update the HTML content and also invoke Javascript functions through my MFC code. Problem: When user clicks on the R0C1, continaing CHtmlView, the focus is now on the html page. I wish to allow the user to tab out of R0C1 using the key board and return back to R0C0. Can you help with this please? The user can obviously click on the R0C0 view using mouse but we have a user who needs to use Keyboard for using this functionality.   Hi, hope to get some help here because this is something that really makes me mad... I have a view with a tableView, and when I tap a cell I want to present a popOver window pointing the arrow to the cell I tapped. the things that I think I need is: 1- the position of the cell in the screen (not in the view, because on large tables the Y value of the cell's rect could be grater than screen hight) or 2- a CGPoint or something similar that represents the point in the screen I tapped.   I've tried the bare method and the T4MVC method but so far both are routing me to the current URL instead of the default path with no arguments for the following action: public virtual ActionResult Index(byte? location, int? sublocation) { } So when I try Url.Action("Index","Locations", new {location="", system=""}) if I'm at a location already this method returns the path to where I'm already at instead of the default path with no arguments.   Does anyone know how to move my SDL.net video surface around the screen programtically? • Why is Standard Input is not displayed as I type in Mac OS X Terminal application?

  I'm confused by some behavior of my Mac OS X Terminal and my Django manage.py shell and pdb. When I start a new terminal, the Standard Input is displayed as I type. However, if there is an error, suddenly Standard Input does not appear on the screen. This error continues until I shut down that terminal window. The Input is still being captured as I can see the Standard Output. E.g. in pdb.set_trace() I can 'l' to display where I'm at in the code. However, the 'l' will not be displayed, just an empty prompt. This makes it hard to debug because I can't determine what I'm typing in. What could be going wrong and what can I do to fix it?

• Problem with javascript in firefox when moving google ads

  hi. i have a website with google ads on it. i would like to make it load faster. thus i moved all the google scripts to the bottom of the page. i also have a placeholder at the location where the ad(s) should be displayed and other divs that (initially) get the ads. finally (in window.onload) i'm moving the ads that have just be fetched from google to their target locations. (a simple example page is here: http://www.nickles.de/temp/ads.html ) this works in ie, but it doesn't work in ff. (that is, in firefox, non-text ads show up fine, while text-ads don't. • vlc python bindings - how to receive keyboard input?

  I'm trying to use VLC's python bindings to create my own little video player. The demo implementation is quite simple and nice, but it requires all the keyboard commands to be typed into the console from which the script was run. Is there any way I can handle keyboard input also when the video player itself has focus? Specifically, I care about controlling the video while in fullscreen mode. Perhaps there's a way to keep the keyboard focus in the console (or maybe another window) while showing the video? I'm using Windows XP, if that has any relevance.

  I have web application and I do not really care about IE6 users. However I would like to have some kind of feautre that would informe users that they are using IE6 and that their browser is not supported. I was thinking about two possible solutions: pop-out window (probably Javascript) with text informing the user on every page he enters some special page with information, that user would be redirected to whenever he tries to access my application Both solutions will be sufficient, however I would prefer the second one. Probably some magic javascript needs to be involved, can anyone could please provide a solution to this?

  If I have a DataGrid in a XAML form, and add the following style: <Style TargetType="Button"> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="2"/> </Style> The data grid locks up the application. I found if I put the style into a resource block that isn't seen by any data grid, then it seems to be happy. However, if I want to have the style above applied to all buttons on my window, I have to put it in various resource blocks that cannot be seen by the data grid. Is there any way to avoid this?

• XIB-instantiated Object's IBOutlet is nil

  I have a XIB set up like in this screenshot: File's owner is my main window controller. The XIB is also in charge of creating an object that serves as the delegate for the MGScopeBar view. As you can see in the screenshot, the scope bar delegate has an IBOutlet for the search field so that it can return it as an extra view as part of the delegate process. The problem I'm having is that when the delegate object is queried for the accessory view, the IBOutlet NSSearchField is nil. I'm fairly certain this has something to do with the order that objects are created, IBOutlets wired, etc, but I'm just a little lost as to where in the process I can expect the search field to exist so that the scope bar delegate can reference it properly.   After some searching i figured out how dragdrop is implemented for a picturebox. But there is one thing - the (inherited of course) allowdrop property isn't accessible from code or property window of picturebox class. So to make it work i added following line to my form-load: ((Control)pictureBox1).AllowDrop = true; Why do i have to do that? In msdn it says: "This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code." Any explanation appreciated and sorry for my grammar ;)

  greetings! i have a C# game program that im developing. it uses sound samples and winsock. when i test run the game most of the audio works fine but from time to time if it is multiple samples being played sequentially the application form shakes a little bit and then goes back to its old position. how do i go about debugging this or present it to you folks in a manageable manner? im sure no one is going to want the whole app code in fear of virus attacks. please guide me.. thanking you. EDIT: i have not been able to pin down any code section that produces this result. it just does and i cannot explain it. EDIT: no the x/y position are not changing. the window like shakes around a few pixels and then goes back to the position were it was before the shake.
