• JQuery JEditable stay in edit mode on error

  I'm successfully using jeditable to submit via a function using jQuery.ajax and the async : false option , but am having an issue aborting if an error is returned. How can I get the edit box to stay activated and / or revert back to the original value if there are errors? I'm returning http status codes. so something like async : false .ajax submit here... if (xhr.status == 200) { return value; else { alert ('returned error'); // keep edit box activated but available for another try, or revert back to original value } I tried not returning a value from the function, which keeps the edit box activated and ready for another submit, but then the ESC key doesn't work anymore and if I click outside the edit area, the edit box stays.   Hi, I am trying to parse a valid xaml file using the XamlXmlReader. It looks like it is 'skipping' some elements when when Read() is called. for example on the following xaml snippet: <UserControl.Resources> <Converters:AnyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter x:Key="anyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter" /> </UserControl.Resources> when reading I first get a XamlNodeType.StartObject on UserControl.Resources - makes sense then another XamlNodeType.StartObject on Converters - also cool. but then i do not get a XamlNodeType.EndObject on the Converters and immediately jump to the next line and does not report a XamlNodeType.StartObject. Any Idea if this is working as design ? looks like a bug to me

  I'm trying to convert a Dictionary< dynamic, dynamic to a statically-typed one by examining the types of the keys and values and creating a new Dictionary of the appropriate types using Reflection. If I know the key and value types, I can do the following: Type dictType = typeof(Dictionary<,>); newDict = Activator.CreateInstance(dictType.MakeGenericType(new Type[] { keyType, valueType })); However, I may need to create, for example, a Dictionary< MyKeyType, dynamic if the values are not all of the same type, and I can't figure out how to specify the dynamic type, since typeof(dynamic) isn't viable. How would I go about doing this, and/or is there a simpler way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

I tried for (var key in widthRange) but this gives me a whole bunch of extra properties (I assume they are functions on the object). I can't use a regular for loop since the values are not sequential.

  While working on an existing Drupal site I've noticed a strange glitch that causes any PHP operator with in it to act like a ? tag. This is happening in in Drupal pages that I create that have a 'Input Format' of 'PHP code'. For example this line of code foreach($array as $key = $value){ results in a very broken page that prints out $value){ Does any one know what could be causing this? My Dev environment is XAMPP. • Can I write functors using a private nested struct?

  Given this class: class C { private: struct Foo { int key1, key2, value; }; std::vector<Foo> fooList; }; The idea here is that fooList can be indexed by either key1 or key2 of the Foo struct. I'm trying to write functors to pass to std::find so I can look up items in fooList by each key. But I can't get them to compile because Foo is private within the class (it's not part of C's interface). Is there a way to do this without exposing Foo to the rest of the world? (note: I've got to run to a meeting. I'll be able to post more sample code in about a half hour.)

  I am not usually a Smarty guy, so I'm a bit stuck. I want to echo the index of an array, but I want to increment it each time I echo it. • Better data-structure design

  Currently in my application I have a single table that is giving me a bit of trouble. The issue at hand is I have a value object that is mapped to this table. When the data is returned to me as an array of value objects, I have to then loop through this array and begin my recursion by matching the ParentID to parent ObjectID's. The column ParentID is either null (acts a parent) or it holds the value of an ObjectID. I know there has to be a better way to create this data structure so that I do not have to do recursive loops to match ParentID's with their ObjectID's. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. • Best place to store large amounts of session data

  I'm building an application that needs to store and re-use large amounts of data per session. So for example, the user selects a large list of list items (say 2000 or significantly more) which have a numeric value as their key then they save that selection and go off to another page, do something else and then come back to the original page and need to load their selections into that page. What is the quickest and most efficient way of storing and reusing that data? In a text file saved with the session id? In a temp db table? In the session data itself (db sessions so size isn't a limit) using a serialised string or using gzcompress or gzencode? Any advice or insight would be great! Thank you!!!!

• F12 no longer works in Visual Studio

  this is driving me crazy, ever since I installed ReSharper 4, F12 no longer seems to work. If you look at the all the ReSharper short cuts in the Goto sub menu Declaration doesn't have any assigned! The only way I can go to declaration is by using ALT and ` and then selecting Declaration. I have tried un-installing and re-installing ReSharper with no luck, I have also, in ReSharper option asked it to use the default Visual Studio Key Bindings but that doesn't to work either. Interestingly, when I do use ALT and ` I actually get two entries for the Declaration option. Has anyone come across this problem I am using Visual Studio 2005 SP1

• How to encrypt data in php using Public/Private keys?

  I have a small string of some data (less than 1kb) that I would like to have user agents pass to other sites when they are sent from my site. In order for the other sites to verify that I was the one that created the string I though of two options. The server pings me back to confirm (like paypal, openid, etc..) I use public/private keys to prove I sent the message (like PGP, DKIM, etc..) I don't want to setup HMAC because that would mean I have to use custom keys for each site which would be a pain. Out of those two choices it seems that #2 would save on bandwidth which makes it seem like a better choice. So how can you setup public/private key cryptography using PHP and are there any downsides?

  I am trying to use the Google Contacts API to connect to a user's contact information, on my Google apps domain. Generating an access_token using the gdata api's ContactsService clientlogin function while using the API key for my project works fine, but I would prefer to not store the user's credentials, and from the information I have found that method uses OAuth1.0 So, to use OAuth2.0 I have: Generated a Service Account in the developer's console for my project Granted access to the service account for the scope of https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/ in the Google apps domain admin panel Attempted to generate credentials using SignedJwtAssertionCredentials: credentials = SignedJwtAssertionCredentials( service_account_name=service_account_email, private_key=key_from_p12_file, scope='https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/', sub=user_email') The problem I am running into is that attempting to generate an access token using this method fails. It succeeds in generating the token when I remove the sub parameter, but then that token fails when I try to fetch the user's contacts. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

  Hi all, This may well be a little of an open-ended question The site I am working on requires to be optimised for performance. One of the key areas is to optimise the file sizes of the images used upon the site. Unfortunatley these images are being created by employees who do not have the required knowledge for creating images for the web, and it is my job to produce a set of guidelines for them to use. I was wondering whether there was any resource/guidlines/literature regarding typical images file sizes for images of different dimensions - as I would like to include something like this to aid them to ensure their images are being created properly.
