  • Joomla - Force File Download / CSV Export

    I'm in need of help... this is my first time asking a question in SO, so please be kind :) I'm trying to force-download a file from php, so when the user hits a certain button, he gets a file download. The file is a csv (email, username) of all registered users. I decided to add this button to the admin users screen, as you can see in this screenshot. The issue here is that after I download a file, if I hit any button in the admin that causes a POST, instead of it performing the action it should, it just downloads the file over again! For example: I hit the "Export" button "users.csv" downloads Then, I hit the "search" button "users.csv" downloads... what the hell? I'm guessing that when I hit the export button, a JS gets called and sets a form's action attribute to an URL... and expects a response or something, and then other button's are prevented from re-setting the form's action attribute. I can't think of any real solution for this, but I'd rather avoid hacks if possible. So, what would be the standard, elegant solution that joomla offers in this case?

    I'm tring to customize error rendering in my form according to this example. Here is my code: if ($this['message']->hasError()) { $error_msg = '<ul>'; foreach ($this['message']->getError() as $error) $error_msg .= "<li>$error</li>"; $error_msg .= '</ul>'; } return $error_msg; but when $this['message'] has error this code returns '<ul></ul>' so it seems foreach ($this['message']->getError() as $error) causes no iterations $this['message']->getError() returns sfValidatorError object - maybe something changed in symfony 1.4 and it isn't iterable anymore... At first I thought that all magic in that example happened because of object being placed in $error by iteration implements __toString() but it seems no iterations happens at all...

  • Zend_Auth / Zend_Session error and storing objects in Auth Storage

    Hi All, I have been having a bit of a problem with Zend_Auth and keep getting an error within my Acl. Within my Login Controller I setup my Zend_Auth storage as follows $auth = Zend_Auth::getInstance(); $result = $auth->authenticate($adapter); if ($result->isValid()) { $userId = $adapter->getResultRowObject(array('user_id'), null)->user_id; $user = new User_Model_User; $users = new User_Model_UserMapper; $users->find($userId, $user); $auth->getStorage()->write( $user ); } This seems to work well and I am able to use the object stored in the Zend_Auth storage within View Helpers without any problems. The problem that I seem to be having is when I try to use this within my Acl, below is a snippet from my Acl, as soon as it gets to the if($auth->hasIdentity()) { line I get the exception detailed further down. The $user->getUserLevel() is a methord within the User Model that allows me to convert the user_level_id that is stored in the database to a meaning full name. I am assuming that the auto loader sees these kind of methords and tries to load all the classes that would be required. When looking at the exception it appears to be struggling to find the class as it is stored in a module, I have the Auto Loader Name Space setup in my application.ini.   • Malloc to a CGPoint Pointer throwing EXC_BAD_ACCESS when accessing

    I am trying to use a snippet of code from a Apple programming guide, and I am getting a EXC_BAD_ACCESS when trying to pass a pointer to a function, right after doing a malloc. (For Reference: iPhone Application Programming Guide: Event Handling - Listing 3-6) The code in question is really simple: CFMutableDictionaryRef touchBeginPoints; UITouch *touch; .... CGPoint *point = (CGPoint *)CFDictionaryGetValue(touchBeginPoints, touch); if (point == NULL) { point = (CGPoint *)malloc(sizeof(CGPoint)); CFDictionarySetValue(touchBeginPoints, touch, point); } Now when the program goes into the if statement it assigns the 'output' of malloc into the point variable/pointer. Then when it tries to pass point into the CFDictionarySetValue function it crashes the application with: Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”. Someone suggested not doing the malloc and pass the point var/pointer as: &point, however that still gave me a EXC_BAD_ACCESS. What I am (and it looks like Apple) doing wrong??? Thanks in advance.

    I've written a function to return the time_t value corresponding to midnight on a given day. When there is no midnight for a given day, it returns the earliest time available; that situation can occur, for example, when Egypt enters daylight-saving time. This year, the time change takes effect at midnight on the night of April 29, so the clock goes directly from 23:59 to 01:00. Now I'm writing unit tests for this function, and one of the tests should replicate the Egypt scenario. In Unix, I can accomplish it like this: putenv("TZ", "Egypt", true); tzset(); After doing that, further calls to localtime behave as if they're in Egypt instead of Minnesota, and my tests pass. Merely setting the environment variable doesn't have any effect on Windows, though. What can I do to make the unit test think it's somewhere else without affecting the rest of the programs running on the system?

It appears that under certain circumstances, movie clips from a SWF loaded at runtime (using Loader) cannot be instantiated if another SWF has been loaded in the mean time. Here is the complete code for a program that reproduces the error. If I modify test.swf so that SubSymbol is not exported for ActionScript, the error goes away, but in our real project we need the ability to dynamically load sprite classes that contain other, exported sprite classes as children. Any ideas as to what is causing this, or how to fix it?

    When writing C++ code I've learned that using the stack to store memory is a good idea. But recently I ran into a problem: I had an experiment that had code that looked like this: void fun(unsigned int N) { float data_1[N*N]; float data_2[N*N]; /* Do magic */ } The code exploted with a seqmentation fault at random, and I had no idea why. It turned out that problem was that I was trying to store things that were to big on my stack, is there a way of detecting this? Or at least detecting that it has gone wrong?

The idea is that if a file contains a section like "<meta name=\"keywords\" content=\"\\(.*?\\)\" />", then I want to insert a section that contains existing keywords. If that section is not found, I want to insert my own default keywords into the same section.     I have several .tpl.php files for nodes, CCK fields, and Views theming. These template files have a lot of logic in them to move things around, strip links, create new links, etc. I understand that this is bad development and not "The Drupal Way". If I understand correctly, "The Drupal Way" is to use preprocessor functions in your template.php file to manipulate variables and add new variables. A few questions about that: Is there a naming convention for creating a preprocessor function for a specific theme? For example, if I have a CCK field template called content-field-field_transmission_make_model.tpl, how would I name the preprocessor function? Can I use template preprocessor functions for node templates, CCK field templates, and Views templates? Do they have different methods of modifying template variables or adding new ones?

User can change textarea and when user clicked on EKLE (ADD) button, i am cloning the EKLE button's parent and adding to result div.   • Python lambda returning None instead of empty string

    I have the following lambda function: f = lambda x: x == None and '' or x It should return an empty string if it receives None as the argument, or the argument if it's not None. For example: >>> f(4) 4 >>> f(None) >>> If I call f(None) instead of getting an empty string I get None. I printed the type of what the function returned and I got NoneType. I was expecting string. type('') returns string, so I'd like to know why the lambda doesn't return an empty string when I pass None as an argument. I'm fairly new to lambdas so I might have misunderstood some things about how they work.
