  Hey guys, We're getting a QA for the first time in our project. We're not sure how to best use him. We work in an Agile environment. Pair programming, user stories, short sprints (two weeks), daily stand-ups, retrospectives, planning meetings, quick releases etc. One obviously way to use a tester is to verify bugs fixes and user stories every sprint. • My PHP script for sending emails wont send

  Well I'm working on a school project, and I uploaded my script to send emails. I'm pretty much using whats defined here: http://www.webcheatsheet.com/PHP/send_email_text_html_attachment.php . Now, all I really changed(other than the contents), is the receiver, to my email address. However, I'm not getting it in my inbox. Is there something else I need? Do I need to do something with the settings on the server(or have my school enable something)?

  I'm coming from a Ruby/Rails world. I'm getting testing set up on a Sinatra project (with Rack::Test). I usually use Fixtures in testing. Is there an equivalent for Sinatra? • activerecord search conditions - looking for null or false

  When doing a search in active record I'm looking for record's that do not have an archived bit set to true. Some of the archived bits are null (which are not archived) others have archived set to false. Obviously, Project.all(:conditions => {:archived => false}) misses the projects with the archived bits with null values. How can all non-archived projects be selected wtih active record?

  In my SVN repository tags are listed by version where name contains dots. e.g. 0.10 or 0.12.1 branches are named like proj-0.24-rc In the same time, for example in Mono project branches has not dots. Is it some practice to avoid dots? Could it be treated like extension delimiter (by web server where repository is been served), etc?
