  • Using VS Code Snippets with Resharper

    I am trying to use Code Contract's Code Snippets but since I turned Resharper back on it doesn't recognize them. On the other hand, it is recognizing some snippets I've implemented myself in the past. Any ideia of what might be the problem? I'm specifically trying to use cr and ce, which I think, don't collide with any other snippets (at least from what I see in the intellisense). I'm using R# 5 with VS 2010 Thanks

  • openldap and root password

    I recently changed my root password, but when I restart Ldap (openldap-2.2.13) I couldn't log in with Ldap users to any application that is on this server. in /var/log/httpd/ssl_error_log I can find a lot of error like: [Tue Jun 01 02:27:24 2010] [warn] [client 89.138.98.214] [26762] auth_ldap authenticate: user foo authentication failed; URI /svn-clients/clients/myclient/ [LDAP: ldap_simple_bind_s() failed][Can't contact LDAP server] I guess there is a linkage between user root and the Ldap configuration, I also changed the rootpw entry in slapd.conf, but this doesn't seem to make things better.

    Hello. I want to send a double click to a listview. From what I've read on msdn it seems I gotta send a WM_NOTIFY message and something with NM_DBLCLK. But I do not understand really well hwo to implement it.     I am having trouble installing the latest version of IE namely version 8.0.6001.18702. I downloaded the install from Microsoft but when the install is completed, the version number is reported as IE 8.0.6001.18702IC. This version does not work on all web applications and I need to get the correct final version installed. The problem is compounded by the installation downloading any updates from the Microsoft site so that there is no real control over the final version you get. Any ideas?

    Hi, I have the following LINQ query: List<string> Types = (List<string>) Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727") Where(x => System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(x).Contains("Microsoft")) .ToList<string>(); How could I modify this so it can only get the values stored in a collection, without writing another LINQ query (which I assume will impact performance?)? And unfortunately I get the following error: org.apache.cayenne.CayenneRuntimeException: [v.3.0 Apr 26 2010 09:59:17] Commit Exception Caused by: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'myDatabase.auto_pk_support' doesn't exist Any idea how i could solve this issue?   • Query between SQL server and Client side

    I create a query: Select * from HR_Tsalary where month='3' and year ='2010' the result is 473 records and I found 2 duplicate record, then I create another query to find duplicate record only: SELECT Emp_No, COUNT(*) FROM HR_Tsalary WHERE year = '10' AND month = '3'GROUP BY Emp_No HAVING COUNT(*) 1 the result is zero record from client side (thru Visual Basic Adodb code). But when I use same query from server the result is 2 records. Is there any different when create a query between from server side and client side?

    In VB.net the ANDALSO and ORELSE keywords should basically always be prefered over the AND and OR keywords. What is the easiest way to disable the AND and OR keywords? I'm thinking FXCop (maybe somebody has already written this rule). Maybe just some setting in VS (we're currently using 2008 and are moving to 2010 end of the summer) I'm open for all suggestions.

    The line cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); cmd.CommandText CREATE TRIGGER subscription_trig_0 ON subscription AFTER INSERT AS UPDATE user_data SET msg_count=msg_count+1 FROM user_data JOIN INSERTED ON user_data.id = INSERTED.recipient; The exception: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'TRIGGER'. Then using VS 2010, connected to the very same file (a mdf file) i run the query above and i get a success message. WTF!

    I am using Eazfuscator.NET 3.0.41 to obfuscate a (VS 2010) WPF 4 application. After obfuscating, when I double click the exe file it's throwing an error message like this. "Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException" Is there a way I could enable some sort of a logging to check where it's going wrong ? How can I solve this problem? please advice
