  • Running DllImport commands from CreateRemoteThread

    I have a function named Msg that's imported from a dll named tier0.dll. I can DllImport this just fine, but the command only works when the dll is attached to another process which can complete the Msg command. Using CreateRemoteThread, it is possible that I could call Msg using C# while still letting it have access to the variables of the attached process it needs to complete the command? Thanks!

I have a button and list in one of the flex applications and the list will be populated on click of the button.     I have to add a listbox/dropdownlist to a report in a Visual Studio Business Intelligence project, allowing users to filter a DataSet by the Id of the entity chosen in the listbox. I heard this was possible, but there is no option to add a listbox in the Toolbox in Visual Studio, and looking at the Report Definition on microsoft.com, there's nothing there about a listbox. What am I doing wrong here?

    Is it possible to use the Clipboard class to grab all the data from the clipboard, like full skype quotes? They use some kind of metadata I think, which is how it knows when something is a quote or not. How can I access that from the Clipboard class? What functions would I call to set/restore Skype quotations? Thanks for the help!

    Hi Experts.. Is there any reliable way to check if user has entered Arabic words into a form and tries to submit it? Can Javascript handle this? Or, only server script like .NET can do this? With ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(sht).Pictures(name) .ShapeRange.ScaleWidth scaleValue, msoTrue .ShapeRange.ScaleHeight scaleValue, msoTrue .top = top .left = left End With This code places the picture correctly in 2010, but the scaleValue is ignored. The 2010 Excel documentation is patchy on this subject. The same code works fine in Excel 2007.

    I'm trying to pass a quoted string through BUILD_COMMAND in ExternalProject_Add() and every way I try it's getting mangled. The code is this: set (mylibs "-lmylib -lmylib2") ExternalProject_Add(Foo URL http://foo BUILD_COMMAND make SOME_LIB=${mylibs} BUILD_IN_SOURCE 1 ...) I've tried using backslash quotes, double quotes, inlining the whole thing, but every time, either the whole SOME_LIB=... part gets quoted or my injected quotes get escaped. Is it not possible to get quotes through to the command line?

  • MainMenu with Images (WinForms, C#)

    Hi All I have a MainMenu in my app and I would like to have little icons relevant to the Item in each menu. But the MainMenu control does not support this. I would use the MenuStrip control, though that is a pretty ugly option in my opinion. Does anybody have any suggestions? Are there any free/open source alt's out there, or would it be easy/possible to implement that feature into the existing MainMenu control? Thanks
