  • Using Mate's RemoteObjectInvoker with C# classes

    - by FigBug
    I'm using the Mate framework for Flex and communicating with a server running C#. I'm having trouble mapping C# classes to ActopnScript classes. I've got it working fine for simple classes and built in datatypes. If I have a C# method in my API that returns a API.Foo.Result what name do I use for my RemoteClass alias? Do I need to make a separate ActionScript class for each variation of the API.Foo.Result? How do I call C# method that takes a class as a parameter? Making an ActionScript class with members with the same names doesn't seem to work. What is the best way to handle C# classes that contain arrays of objects? The seem to get converted to ArrayCollections of Object. Is there a way to get them converted to an ArrayCollection of my specific class?

  • A question about John Resig's Simple Javascript Inheritance.

    - by Zippo
    I'm using this simple code: http://ejohn.org/blog/simple-javascript-inheritance/ Using this "library", I made this simple class: var Person = Class.extend({ init: function(openningSentence) { this.say(openningSentence); }, say: function(words) { alert(words); } }); The problem with this class, is that I can't call a function using the variable "this" (line 3 in the code gives an error: unknown method "say"). Does anybody knoes if there's a solution for this problem? Btw - I'm using jquery, so if there's a jquery-based solution It'll be great :)

  • Updates to NSDictionary attribute in CoreData not saving

    - by sfkaos
    I have created an Entity in CoreData that includes a Transformable attribute type implemented as an NSDictionary. The NSDictionary attribute only contains values of a custom class. The properties of the custom class are all of type NSString. The custom class complies with NSCoding implementing: -(void)encodeWithCoder:(NSCoder*)coder; -(id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder *)coder When saving the Entity for the first time all attributes including the Transformable (NSDictionary) type are properly saved in the DB. When the same Entity is fetched from the DB and updated (including the Transformable attribute) it seems to be updated properly. However, when the app is closed and then reopened fetching the Entity does not show the updated Transformable attribute-type though the rest of the attributes of type NSDate and NSString are up-to-date. The Transformable attribute is the original saved value not the updated value. Is this a problem with KVO or am I missing something else when trying to save an NSDictionary filled with a custom class to CoreData?

  • Hibernate configuration files not found by Axis2

    - by DanJo519
    I am writing a web service to be deployed on Tomcat using Axis2. I am using Hibernate3 to persist data between the web service and a MySQL database. When running the application through by IDE, the method I am exposing through Axis2 works as intended, however when I deploy the .aar to Tomcat, I receive a SOAP Error claiming that hibernate.cfg.xml cannot be found. However, inside the .aar, I clearly see that all the configuration file and all the mapping files are included. I have determined a workaround: If I place the resulting files from the Netbeans build/class folder into the axis2/WEB-INF/class folder, then the application works as expected. My question, then, is is there a better way to deploy my application so that Axis2 will pick up the configuration and mapping files through the deployed .aar without my manually having to copy the contents of the build/class folder into the axis2/WEB-INF/class folder?

  • JQuery text display problem?

    - by SLAPme
    Kind of new to JQuery and I was wondering how can I state that the users submitted info was saved when they click the submit button by displaying the message Changes saved at the top of the form and then have it disappear when the user leaves the web page and return back to it? Right now my code only displays that changes were saved at the bottom of the form outside of the lists and will not disappear when the users leave the web page and return back to it. Here is the JQuery code. $(function() { $(".save-button").click(function() { $.post($("#contact-form").attr("action"), $("#contact-form").serialize(), function(html) { $("div.contact-info-form").html(html); $('#contact-form').append('<li>Changes saved!</li>'); }); return false; // prevent normal submit }); }); Here is the html code. <div id="contact-info-form" class="form-content"> <h2>Contact Information</h2> <form method="post" action="index.php" id="contact-form"> <fieldset> <ul> <li><label for="address">Address 1: </label><input type="text" name="address" id="address" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['address'])) { echo $_POST['address']; } else if(!empty($address)) { echo $address; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="address_two">Address 2: </label><input type="text" name="address_two" id="address_two" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['address_two'])) { echo $_POST['address_two']; } else if(!empty($address_two)) { echo $address_two; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="city_town">City/Town: </label><input type="text" name="city_town" id="city_town" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['city_town'])) { echo $_POST['city_town']; } else if(!empty($city_town)) { echo $city_town; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="state_province">State/Province: </label> <?php echo '<select name="state_province" id="state_province">' .   • FileReader vs FileInputReader. split vs Pattern

    - by abdeslam
    I'm working with a file with about 2G. I want to read the file line by line to find some specific terms. Whitch class can I better use: FileReader or FileInputStream? And how can I find the specific words efficiently. I'm just using the split() method, but may be can I use the java.util.regex.Pattern class in combination with java.util.regex.Matcher class. So the Questions are: which class can I use: the FileReader or the FileInputStream? can I use the split method or the regex classes Does someone has an answer to this questions? Thans.

  • java.lang.ClassNotFoundException using google commons

    - by pie154
    I have two classes inside a package. Both call a method from another class, one works perfectly fine and the other gives the error java.lang.ClassNotFoundException and the error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/common/base/Predicate The class path should be the same for both as they are in he same package so I can't figure out why one has access to the class and the other doesn't? thanks in advance for any help given.

  • Active Record two belongs_to calls or single table inheritance

    - by ethyreal
    In linking a sports event to two teams, at first this seemed to make sense: events - id:integer - integer:home_team_id - integer:away_team_id teams - integer:id - string:name However I am troubled by how I would link that up in the active record model: class Event belongs_to :home_team, :class_name => 'Team', :foreign_key => "home_team_id" belongs_to :away_team, :class_name => 'Team', :foreign_key => "away_team_id" end Is that the best solution? In an answer to a similar question I was pointed to single table inheritance, and then later found polymorphic associations. Neither of which seemed to fit this association. Perhaps I am looking at this wrong, but I see no need to subclass a team into home and away teams since the distinction is only in where the game is played. If I did go with single table inheritance I wouldn't want each team to belong_to an event so would this work? # app/models/event.rb class Event < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :home_team belongs_to :away_team end # app/models/team.rb class Team < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :teams end # app/models/home_team.rb class HomeTeam < Team end # app/models/away_team.rb class AwayTeam < Team end I thought also about a has_many through association but that seems two much as I will only ever need two teams, but those two teams don't belong to any one event. event_teams - integer:event_id - integer:team_id - boolean:is_home Is there a cleaner more semantic way for making these associations in active record? or is one of these solutions the best choice? Thanks

  • Spring - How do you set Enum keys in a Map with annotations

    - by al nik
    Hi all, I've an Enum class public enum MyEnum{ ABC; } than my 'Mick' class has this property private Map<MyEnum, OtherObj> myMap; I've this spring xml configuration. <util:map id="myMap"> <entry key="ABC" value-ref="myObj" /> </util:map> <bean id="mick" class="com.x.Mick"> <property name="myMap" ref="myMap" /> </bean> and this is fine. I'd like to replace this xml configuration with Spring annotations. Do you have any idea on how to autowire the map? The problem here is that if I switch from xml config to the @Autowired annotation (on the myMap attribute of the Mick class) Spring is throwing this exception nested exception is org.springframework.beans.FatalBeanException: Key type [class com.MyEnum] of map [java.util.Map] must be assignable to [java.lang.String] Spring is no more able to recognize the string ABC as a MyEnum.ABC object. Any idea? Thanks

  • <plugin> not a function

My code is exactly like examples so I don't know why it's not working. <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>asd</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='serial/jquery.scrollTo'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='serial/jquery.serialScroll'></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#slider').serialScroll({ items:'li', offset:-230, //when scrolling to photo, stop 230 before reaching it (from the left) start:1, //as we are centering it, start at the 2nd duration:1200, force:true, stop:true, lock:false, cycle:false, //don't pull back once you reach the end easing:'easeOutQuart', //use this easing equation for a funny effect jump: true //click on the images to scroll to them }); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="slider"> <ul> <li><img width="500" height="500" src="dummy/dummy.jpg" alt="Css Template Preview" /></li> <li><img width="500" height="500" src="dummy/dummy1.jpg" alt="Css Template Preview" /></li> <li><img width="500" height="500" src="dummy/dummy2.jpg" alt="Css Template Preview" /></li> <li><img width="500" height="500" src="dummy/dummy3.jpg" alt="Css Template Preview" /></li> </ul> </div> </body> </html> I must be missing something essential there because I see nothing what's wrong.   • RoR associations through or not through?

    - by showFocus
    I have four models that are related to one another, the way I have it setup at the moment is I have to select a county, region and country when entering a new city. class Country < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :regions has_many :counties has_many :cities end class Region < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :country has_many :counties has_many :cities end class County < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :country has_one :region has_many :cities end class City < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :country has_one :region has_one :county end Would it be better to use the :through symbol in the association? So I could say the city: has_one :country, :through => :region Not sure if this is correct, I have read how :through works but I'm not sure if this is the best solution. I am a newbie and while I'm not struggling with the syntax and how things work, it would be good to get opinions on best practices and the way things should be done from some rails wizards! Thanks in advance.

  • Traversing from Bookmark Hashtags (#bookmark) in jQuery?

    - by HipHop-opatamus
    I am having trouble traversing from a bookmark has tag in jquery. Specifically, the following HTML: <a id="comment-1"></a> <div class="comment"> <h2 class="title"><a href="#comment-1">1st Post</a></h2> <div class="content"> <p>this is 1st reply to the original post</p> </div> <div class="test">1st post second line</div> </div> I am trying to traverse to where the class = "title", if the page is landed on with a bookmark hashtag in the URL (site.com/test.html#comment-1). The following is my code I'm using for testing: if(window.location.hash) { alert ($(window.location.hash).nextAll().html()); } It executes fine, and returns the appropriate html ( The problem is if I add a selector to it ($(window.location.hash).next('.title').html() ) I get a null result. Why is this so? Is nextAll not the correct Traversing function? (I've also tried next+find to no avail) Thanks!

  • stringstream problem - vector iterator not dereferencable

    - by andreas
    Hello I've got a problem with the following code snippet. It is related to the stringstream "stringstream css(cv.back())" bit. If it is commented out the program will run ok. It is really weird, as I keep getting it in some of my programs, but if I just create a console project the code will run fine. In some of my Win32 programs it will and in some it won't (then it will return "vector iterator not dereferencable" but it will compile just fine). Any ideas at all would be really appreciated. Thanks! vector<double> cRes(2); vector<double> pRes(2); int readTimeVects2(vector<double> &cRes, vector<double> &pRes){ string segments; vector<string> cv, pv, chv, phv; ifstream cin("cm.txt"); ifstream pin("pw.txt"); ifstream chin("hm.txt"); ifstream phin("hw.txt"); while (getline(cin,segments,'\t')) { cv.push_back(segments); } while (getline(pin,segments,'\t')) { pv.push_back(segments); } while (getline(chin,segments,'\t')) { chv.push_back(segments); } while (getline(phin,segments,'\t')) { phv.push_back(segments); } cin.close(); pin.close(); chin.close(); phin.close(); stringstream phss(phv.front()); phss >> pRes[0]; phss.clear(); stringstream chss(chv.front()); chss >> cRes[0]; chss.clear(); stringstream pss(pv.back()); pss >> pRes[1]; pss.clear(); stringstream css(cv.back()); css >> cRes[1]; css.clear(); return 0; }

  • Python regex help

    - by Dormish
    I am trying to make a regex that finds all names, url and phone numbers in an html page. But I'm having trouble with the phone number part. I think the problem with the numbers part is that is searches until it finds the </strong> but in that process it skips people, instead of making a empty string if the person has no phone number ( simply put instead of a list like this: url1+name1+num1 | url2+name2+"" | url3+name3+num3 it returns a list like this: url1+name1+num1 | url2+name2+num3 , with url3+name3 deleted in the process) for url, name, pnumber in re.findall('Name"><div>(?:<a href="/si([^">]*)"> )?([^<]*)(?:.*?</strong>([^<]*))?',page): I am searchin for people in s single very long line. A person could have an url or phone number. An example of a person with an url and a phone number <tr> <td class="lablinksName"><div><a href="/si/ivan-bratko/default.html"> dr. • PostSharp when using DataContractSerializer?

    - by Dan Bryant
    I have an Aspect that implements INotifyPropertyChanged on a class. The aspect includes the following: [OnLocationSetValueAdvice, MethodPointcut("SelectProperties")] public void OnPropertySet(LocationInterceptionArgs args) { var currentValue = args.GetCurrentValue(); bool alreadyEqual = (currentValue == args.Value); // Call the setter args.ProceedSetValue(); // Invoke method OnPropertyChanged (ours, the base one, or the overridden one). if (!alreadyEqual) OnPropertyChangedMethod.Invoke(args.Location.Name); } This works fine when I instantiate the class normally, but I run into problems when I deserialize the class using a DataContractSerializer. This bypasses the constructor, which I'm guessing interferes with the way that PostSharp sets itself up. This ends up causing a NullReferenceException in an intercepted property setter, but before it has called the custom OnPropertySet, so I'm guessing it interferes with setting up the LocationInterceptionArgs. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a way I can work around it? I did some more research and discovered I can fix the issue by doing this: [OnDeserializing] private void OnDeserializing(StreamingContext context) { AspectUtilities.InitializeCurrentAspects(); } I thought, okay, that's not too bad, so I tried to do this in my Aspect: private IEnumerable<MethodInfo> SelectDeserializing(Type type) { return type.GetMethods(BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Public).Where( t => t.IsDefined(typeof (OnDeserializingAttribute), false)); } [OnMethodEntryAdvice, MethodPointcut("SelectDeserializing")] public void OnMethodEntry(MethodExecutionArgs args) { AspectUtilities.InitializeCurrentAspects(); } Unfortunately, even though it intercepts the method properly, it doesn't work. I'm thinking the call to InitializeCurrentAspects isn't getting transformed properly, since it's now inside the Aspect rather than directly inside the aspect-enhanced class. Is there a way I can cleanly automate this so that I don't have to worry about calling this on every class that I want to have the Aspect?

  • BroadcastReceiver not triggered by Alarm

    - by Ezekiel Buchheit
    I am trying to set up an alarm that will run in the background and trigger (eventually) a save event. At the moment I simply have this code attached to a button. Press the button and the alarm should start leaving Toast messages behind as an indication that it is functioning. At the moment everything runs except the onReceive in the BroadcastReceiver is never triggered. Here is my code: The class setting up the alarm: //FIXME - rename (ie BackgroundSave; more descriptive) public class AlarmReceiver extends Service{ //FIXME - make sure you kill the service public void onCreate() { super.onCreate(); Toast.makeText(getApplication().getApplicationContext(), "Service onCreate called", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } @Override public int onStartCommand(Intent intent, int flags, int startId) { Toast.makeText(getApplication().getApplicationContext(), "Service started", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); setAlarm(AlarmReceiver.this); // We want this service to continue running until it is explicitly // stopped, so return sticky. return START_STICKY; } public void setAlarm(Context c) { AlarmManager alarmManager = (AlarmManager)c.getSystemService(Context.ALARM_SERVICE); Intent i = new Intent(c, Alarm.class); PendingIntent pi = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(c, 0, i, 0); alarmManager.setRepeating(AlarmManager.ELAPSED_REALTIME_WAKEUP, System.currentTimeMillis() + 1000, 1000, pi); Toast.makeText(c.getApplicationContext(), "setAlarm called", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } public void cancelAlarm(Context context) { Intent intent = new Intent(context, Alarm.class); PendingIntent sender = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, 0, intent, 0); AlarmManager alarmManager = (AlarmManager) context.getSystemService(Context.ALARM_SERVICE); alarmManager.cancel(sender); } @Override public IBinder onBind(Intent arg0) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } } Here is the BroadcastReceiver: public class Alarm extends BroadcastReceiver { @Override public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { Toast.makeText(context, "Alarm", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } } And here is my manifest: <!-- Alarm --> <service android:name="com.xxxx.android.tools.AlarmReceiver" android:enabled="true" /> <receiver android:name="com.xxxx.android.tools.Alarm" ></receiver> The alarm onReceive is never triggered.

Basically, it has two classes: Widget: namespace Ui { class Widget; } class Widget : public QWidget { Q_OBJECT public: Widget(QWidget *parent = 0); ~Widget(); QLabel *newlabel; QString foo; public slots: void changeLabel(); private: Ui::Widget *ui; }; Widget::Widget(QWidget *parent) : QWidget(parent), ui(new Ui::Widget) { ui->setupUi(this); customWidget *cwidget = new customWidget(); newlabel = new QLabel("text"); foo = "hello world"; this->ui->formLayout->addWidget(newlabel); this->ui->formLayout->addWidget(cwidget); connect(this->ui->pushButton,SIGNAL(clicked()),cwidget,SLOT(callParentSlot())); connect(this->ui->pb,SIGNAL(clicked()),this,SLOT(changeLabel())); } void Widget::changeLabel(){ newlabel->setText(this->foo); } and customWidget: class customWidget : public QWidget { Q_OBJECT public: customWidget(); QPushButton *customPB; public slots: void callParentSlot(); }; customWidget::customWidget() { customPB = new QPushButton("customPB"); QHBoxLayout *hboxl = new QHBoxLayout(); hboxl->addWidget(customPB); this->setLayout(hboxl); connect(this->customPB,SIGNAL(clicked()),this,SLOT(callParentSlot())); } void customWidget::callParentSlot(){ ((Widget*)this->parentWidget())->changeLabel(); } in the main function, I simply created an instance of Widget, and called show() on it. This Widget instance has a label, a QString, an instance of customWidget class, and two buttons (inside the ui class, pushButton and pb). One of the buttons calls a slot in its own class called changeLabel(), that, as the name suggests, changes the label to whatever is set in the QString contained in it. I made that just to check that changeLabel() worked. This button is working fine. The other button calls a slot in the customWidget instance, named callParentSlot(), that in turn tries to call the changeLabel() slot in its parent. Since in this case I know that its parent is in fact an instance of Widget, I cast the return value of parentWidget() to Widget*. This button crashes the program. I made a button within customWidget to try to call customWidget's parent slot as well, but it also crashes the program. I followed what was on this question. What am I missing?
