  • Stop all sounds but one

    Hi, I posted a question earlier about stopping all sounds in a swf. Now, to do that I'm using the following code. var transform1:SoundTransform=new SoundTransform(); transform1.volume=0; flash.media.SoundMixer.soundTransform=transform1; Which solves the problem (mutes all sounds) but now there is an issue, I want to stop all sounds but one. Any Ideas?

    Why is the setContextClassLoader() method placed on thread ? What different thread have different classloaders? The question is what if i extended a classloader , loaded there some new classes. to the my custom classloader. Now , I want it to be the context classloader , so I call the method (Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(loader)). Are these new classes awailable only in the context of the current Thread ? ( or how does it work ?) Thanks

    I would like to apologize in advance for the ugly formatting. In order to talk about the problem, I need to be posting a bunch of URLs, but the excessive URLs and my lack of reputation makes StackOverflow think I could be a spammer. Any instance of 'ht~tp' is supposed to be 'http'. '{dot}' is supposed to be '.' and '{colon}' is supposed to be ':'. Also, my lack of reputation has prevented me from tagging my question with 'webfinger' and 'google-profiles'. Onto my question: I am messing around with WebFinger and trying to create a small rails app that enables a user to log in using nothing but their WebFinger account. I can succesfully finger myself, and I get back an XRD file with the following snippet: Link rel="ht~tp://specs{dot}openid{dot}net/auth/2.0/provider" href="ht~tp://www{dot}google{dot}com/profiles/{redacted}"/ Which, to me, reads, "I have an OpenID 2.0 login at the url: ht~tp://www{dot}google{dot}com/profiles/{redacted}".   • JSF trimming white spaces

    HI, I have an input field in which I want to trim any leading/trailing whitespaces. We are using JSF and binding the input field to a backing bean in the jsp using: <h:inputText id="inputSN" value="#{regBean.inputSN}" maxlength="10"/> My question is that besides validation can this be done in the jsp? I know we can also do this using the trim() java function in the Handler, but just wondering if there is a more elegant way to achieve this in JSF. Thanks.

The question is about the sugar part only - I know the functionality can be easily achieved by passing the three blocks to a method, like doInSequence(block1, block2, block3). A real life example.     This is probably a simple matter, but when I create a new object, the ID property starts off as 0 rather than null. As I understand it, SQLite takes/needs a value of null for the PK column to do the AutoIncrement. So the short question is how to get the ID in the object to start life as null? Thanks cooter

    I'm pretty new to Websphere application development and I'm missing the source attachment for all the classes in the com.ibm.wps.* packages in my IBM Rational Application Developer setup. For example the class com.ibm.wps.engine.Command from JAR wp.engine.impl.jar has no source attached. Do I have to install another package with the sources or where can I find it? Also, excuse the question if it is so trivial and stupid... :-}

    I'm using the PRG pattern on a form of mine. I've never used this approach before and I'm trying to figure something out: Normally, I always just displayed the posted form again when there were validation errors and displayed POST values in the form (sticky form). However with the PRG pattern, the form is displayed after a redirect, so there aren't any POST values. So my question is, how can I implement the PRG pattern and still have sticky forms?

    I am using the W3C XHTML validator to check my sites and I am getting some errors on pages with FBML. Most of the cause of such errors is the "&" character. Since FBML values and attributes are generated on the fly, I have no way to encode the character properly before displaying it. Question: Is there a way for me to tell Facebook Connect to render the mark up properly? Thanks.
